    Brisket hash

Diner vibe, diner food. Not sure if I just got something lackluster but I was not impressed. Got the biscuits and gravy. Biscuits didn't feel like they were made in house and were dry and crumbly. Sausage gravy was fine but nothing memorable. Potatoes were not seasoned and had limited pan fried goodness. Service was mediocre. We had to ask another server just to get refills on water since our server never returned. Husband got brisket hash which was better than mine. Sandwiches for others at our table looked okay.

Basic breakfest with clam chowder and coffee.

I hate to give this place 2 stars but my experience this time was not the best. I know coming here that food takes time to come out since they cook to order. That wasn't my problem. It was the quality of the food this time. Everything was super oily or over buttery. I got the basic breakfest. Chose scrambled eggs, sourdough toast, and bacon. My aunt gave me her wheat toast. The scrambled eggs had a lot of butter all over them. The bacon was kind of limp and greasy. Both sets of toast had way too much butter on them. Then the potatoes. They were not crispy, lacked flavor, and when you bit into them, your mouth filled with oil/grease. Also got a cup of there clam chowder. I was super excited about this because this place makes one of my favorite clothes chowders and was just disappointed with it. Had huge chunks of potato that took up most of the cup. Found no clams amd that's the point of clam chowder. The soup was also very runny. Also when I had to get the attention of our server to get more coffee and water for the 3 of us at the table because it was all empty, she came across irritated. She was not very busy and didn't appreciate the attitude. Also once we got our food, she never came back outside. When we needed something, we had to go back inside were she was just standing there. I hate not tipping 20 percent but in no way did she earn that for how much we spent on our tab. It sucks that I only get to come up here once a year and this year, it was only sub par.

Food was delicious. We had the cod fish and chips and clam chowder. We were camping and got some chowder to go. Came back and had breakfast. Chicken fried steak and the eggs Benedict with bacon, avocado. Very happy with the portions and price. The newer owner Rhonda served us both days. She's really nice. Sunday there was also someone playing acoustical guitar. Very nice and relaxing.

The Cup truly is a hidden treasure. While the menu features classic diner dishes, the variety of breakfast and lunch options pleasantly surprised us. What truly elevated our visit was the exceptional service. Our server Rhonda's genuine enthusiasm for her job was evident, and it added to the overall experience. We decided to try their Burger and BLT, and both dishes were nothing short of perfection. This visit left us thoroughly impressed and satisfied. Added Bonus: we visited on Sunday 8:30 am and there was live gentle music performed by a guitar artist.

Chicken Fried steak. Also that homemade jam was insane.

Breakfast here hit the spot, very large portions and the food was excellent. Services was great even though staff was minimal.

The pulled pork breakfast burrito is amazing--definitely one of the standouts and something we'd order again. I was a little hesitant to try the Boat Yard Hash again because I'd ordered it a few years ago and found it very underwhelming--mostly potatoes and not much flavor. I'm so glad I gave it another shot! This time it was completely different and absolutely delicious. It had tons of flavor and was a huge improvement from what I remembered. The biscuits and gravy were another winner. The gravy was packed with flavor and made the dish much more interesting than the bland, flour-and-milk style gravy you sometimes get. Three dishes, three hits. This visit was an easy 5 stars for us.

After signing in, we gazed at some of the fancy boats in the marina next door. Our wait passed quickly, and we were seated at a table along the wall. Our drink order was taken promptly, and we set out to find that perfect dish on the extensive breakfast menu. While the server said they could make a lot of different drinks, they do not serve orange juice!? My wife ordered and enjoyed their Flanagan omelet. My daughter ordered biscuits and gravy, which looked like a hearty dish for anyone. My son-in-law went with some yummy-looking cinnamon French toast, which must have been good, as he finished first. I couldn't make up my mind, so I went with scrambled eggs and bacon. The bacon was particularly good and nice and thick. The thin sourdough toast with raspberry jelly was also great. The breakfast potatoes were a bit disappointing. Service was friendly, but my wife would have liked a coffee refill or two. The cafe is a bit away from downtown shopping but offers plenty of free parking. We will give it another try as our meals were overall delicious.

Pictured is how long the young lady who answered the phone placed me on hold, then I decided to hang up. Next photo is I decided to cancel our high tea reservations right after I hung up. It was for my daughter's 41st birthday. And all I called for was to let them know about allergies, and what kind of tea menu they have. Her reasoning for placing me on hold or calling me back was because she said she had a long line of people. As I waited I heard all the conversations going on. Honestly I think she forgot about me. I opted to wait on hold because it's difficult to get a hold of me, and I had appts to get to. When she said place me on hold I didn't think it would take over 20 minutes. At least have someone else you work with take care of the phone call if you're that busy. It's unfortunate I canceled because my friends and I have traveled different states, countries, even all around Seattle proper to have high tea or even afternoon tea. My family and I were willing to drive the almost two hours to try Cafe Tenby because none of us have even heard of this place. So I don't think we will give this place our business. As an elite all star yelper, I don't think anyone I know will also.
