I stopped into the daily bagel recently. I was there before it opened. Waited outside until 7am. Then just walked in. I wasn't greeted by the girls working behind the counter, but I greeted them and they were friendly. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a latte. Both were really good! The everything bagel was decent...not a New York style bagel, but had a little chew. Had a good amount of seeds. I got sausage, egg and cheese. The only gripe I have is that it was somewhat dry. Needed a spread of butter, or cream cheese. But I will just ask next time :) The late was ok. They only had soy milk as an alternative. That was a bummer. But the latte was still tasty! Lost my business. I was waiting to order behind another couple, I move to the counter on the right to lean on it to take some pressure off my back, as the wait was fairly long. They were taking a large phone order. Another dark hair girl ask what I needed, I said just waiting to place an order. She snaps at me the line is over there.(3 steps to my left) the turned away and I said "really", she spins are and glares at me, and says what?. I said again really. The couple in turn to me and laughed," oh boy your a real rule breaker" we laughed while the girl continued with glancing glares. I payed and thanked the cashier. When my order was ready , made by the blond girl, I thanked her and she threw her head away and snubbed me. Both girl were very immature and disrespectful. Although I'm older and gray, I still expect to be treated with respect, none of which either had. That's the last business they will ever get from me. I went here the other day, ordered two bagels with cream cheese, and an italian soda. I'm used to most coffee/breakfast shops similar to this charging $6-$7 a drink a $5 for any sort of food items, but my total only came to a little over $10! Wow. This is the bagel place of my literal dreams!!! The ambiance is lovely, and exactly what you want from a good bagel shop. The service was phenomenal, the staff was so kind. I got a specialty coffee and it was outstanding - they have lots of great options. Our bagels came out so fast and they were delicious! It was affordable and well worth the money. People, these are NOT bagels! They are soft, undercooked dough with a dry, crackly crus and NO HOLES! Over-raised rolls, not bagels at all. They certainly have not been boiled before baking. Real bagels are. That's what gives them the distinctive chew and shiny crust. A real bagel is hard enough on the outside to be given to babies to teethe on. If you're looking for a flavored roll, you've come to the right place. but don't expect any flavor in the flavored cream cheeses. They all taste the same- plain. I was pleasantly surprised as the bagel with lox was very good. The only problem is that it did not have enough lox on it. Just two small slices. I did also get a dozen bagels to go (obviously to go!), and I must say that the Swiss cheese and the mushroom/spinach bagels are really good. Super slow to get two bagels with cream cheese after I asked what could be done quickly. Two crew members making bagels made non stop chitter chatter while crew member on register seemed to hustle fast to ring in orders and make coffee drinks. Bagel makers completed 4 breakfast sandwich orders that came in after me before they started on our takeout bagels and cream cheese. Salmon cream cheese on my wife's order was very bland and my blueberry bagel seemed to be a whole wheat spice mix bagel. Was very surprised with how big the bagels are! And not to mention how extensive the choices are! Ordered their lox with egg on everything but the bagel and it was delightful! The flavors just meshed well together! The chorizo egg on garlic bagel, the bagel itself was topped with so much toasted garlic it was delightful! Yikes. How can a bagel shop sell these rock hard tasteless things they call bagels? It used to be a good place for bagels but I now have been 3 times in the last year and every time the bagels were worse than ever. Today, I gave them one last try. Yikes, the poppy seed bagel was so hard it could have been used as a tennis ball. The sesame bagel got stuck in mu mouth as a hard ball of clay. And the Asiago cheese one was just plain awful. I have eaten at the Daily Bagel quite a few times and everything I have ever tried was very good. Did a delivery order once because of Covid and it was very good but a little costly so I didn't do more. This last weekend I went with my grandson and ate in the restaurant. My grandson is developmentally challenged, but takes great pride in being able to do his own ordering and paying for his food. He has particular tastes in ingredients, leaving off two and asking for two others for replacements. It arrived and he checked it thoroughly and it was exactly as he wanted. He was treated exactly like a normal customer and the result was 100% perfect. They will be getting a lot more of my business going forward. Thank you so very much. read more

Only reason they get 2 stars is because I do like the food there. But customer service is horrible! The shorter girl with brown hair cashing people out could really care less if she's there. Going downhill... The staff really don't seem to care about serving you in a timely manner. I go here about once a week for a bagel and a drink, today I've been disappointed with the service/ my food 3 weeks in a row. Sad to say one of my favorite breakfast stops will no longer receive my business. Asked for a bagel with butter and it is basically dry. They forgot about my drink so I sat for an extra 10 minutes while several guests got their coffee before I did until I stood up and waited by the counter. It seems like every time I come here it takes forever and the doordash/Uber eats people are always pissed off creating a negative energy when you walk in. This location is much better than the one near campus and this one is open on Sunday. They do run out of the "everything bagel" quickly. This location is great for folks who are looking for more than a bagel because you can actually get a cheeseburger bagel. Unfortunately they messed up on my husband's choice of bagel for his burger but he was okay with the mistake. They put a good amount of cream cheese on the toasted bagel and they also sell day old bags of bagels that aren't too bad if you refrigerate them until you are ready to toast them. I recommend this place and look forward to warmer weather so we can enjoy the outdoor seating. read more

if you want a good breakfast bagel.. do NOT go to daily bagel. This used to be my favorite breakfast place for a quick breakfast but they have really gone downhill. This was my bagel and when i spoke to the employees asking if i could have more egg they were blatantly disrespectful. Liz was the person I spoke to and she said "it's just what we get delivered" and continued working and told me she couldn't help me. I asked if I could have more egg and she said I would have to pay another dollar for it even though they I had just paid $5 for this!! They didn't even apologize or try to help. Management style needs to change here. This is my second experience always worth a second try. My first experience when I requested a double toasted bagel what I got was less than warm with the excuse we're training a new employee. It's a take it or leave it, I took my coffee and bagel on my way. Second try today, I came across the same manager she had a stare on her face that fits the Halloween spirit. I reminded her of my first experience thinking that she would take care of me or make some adjustment. What I received was toasted but not double toasted as I requested she threw the bagel in the trash acting like a little child. What I got was OK it took 10 minutes to get the coffee barista dropped the ball, making coffee. This used to be a friendly welcoming great place to come. my last time today. 12/15 terrible customer service. Girl making coffees was extremely rude. Order was also wrong.

3/3 times that I've ordered online here my order has been incorrect. Twice I've added avocado which is an extra charge and it was not put on my sandwich. No refund given each time. Then when they are "out" of the type of bagel you request they just switch it for something random without informing you. I asked the worker today why that is and her excuse is that they have no way to contact the online orders which is odd since in order to place an online order you have to add your phone number and email. Overall customer service when walking in is horrible. All the workers are talking story with each other and do not acknowledge your presence. It was over 5 minutes before anyone even greeted me. Very unprofessional. Sad, because I really used to like the food here. Definitely will not be going back. read more

Early morning treat! I had a chance to stop in at the Daily Bagel this morning which is conveniently next door to my cleaners. The place is modestly decorated with both indoor and patio seating. Large selection of freshly baked bagels, flavored cream cheeses, salads, specialty bagel sandwiches and coffees. I opted for lox on a toasted onion bagel. It was served properly with sliced red onions and capers. The mound of lox was worth it alone. All were served on a bed of bagel chips. I was there early on a Saturday where they hosted a regular stream of customers. Nice breakfast spot. Bon appetit! read more

I'm not a hard core coffee drinker, but they have delicious sounding drinks have some non dairy options as well as Mexican hot chocolate (its real good!). My main complaint is the bagel. A shop that basses it's business around a bagle should at least have above average bagels. These bagels are not good. I cant even finish the other half. The equivalent would be the bagels in the bins at winco. I don't think we even got 2 oz of cream cheese on our bagels. Just enough to wet the bagel but not enough. Unfortunately, coming from springfield this is the nearest shop. Bagel sphere on w 11th is 1000% better. We ordered 2 drinks and 2 toasted bagels with cream cheese. One of the drinks was a brewed coffee. For some reason we didn't get that until the latte was done. Not a huge deal but if I'm going to be waiting for my order can I at least drink the coffee that only requires you to pump it from a pot? We got our order to go. Once I started driving I wanted to take a bite while it was still warm and toasty..... it wasn't. I thought maybe they forgot to toast it. It looks very lightly toasted. I think they toasted our bagels, worked on other orders and then put cream cheese on ours and handed them out. Maybe this happened because we didn't tip. You pay when you order and the tablet puts a 10% tip automatically. You have to press a separate button that says no tip. While our car was getting checked out across the road we walked here for breakfast and espresso drinks. It is a nice place with good wifi that serves bagels, bagel sandwiches and coffee drinks. My wife had the Bagel Melt along with her mocha and found it quite good. I had an Eggs, Cheese and Bacon bagel hot breakfast along with my latte and also enjoyed it. I ordered online and was quoted 15-20 minutes and I waited in the store for 30 additional minutes above and beyond the originally quoted time.
