As soon as I entered the studio, I was warmly greeted by the instructor for that class, Tina, and the woman manning the front desk at the time. The person at the front desk made sure to ask me about any current injuries/restrictions, and gave me a rundown of the class space and the reformer machine. She also passed on some helpful tips and information since it was my first time. Then, she made sure to notify Tina about my current injury just in case. The class was tough, but I felt so amazing during and after! Before the class began, Tina asked me if it was ok for her to correct me as needed since it was my first time, and she did exactly that, which I greatly appreciated! I'm also surprised by their class package since it seems to be much cheaper than other places! Highly recommend anyone to try this class out! I've…read morebeen trying to get myself to work out some more so I decided to try a 1 week unlimited to see if it was something I could see myself doing. First, vibes are kind of weird. This is the first studio i've been to where the front desk doesn't greet anyone and the instructors don't try to make conversation before or after class. The studio is a nice size, the machines are nice, there are only mirrors on two sides of the room (the front and one side) which makes it hard for around half of the room to see themselves, and the bathroom is below average for a boutique studio (they do have 2 showers). I went 7 days in a row and never really felt sore besides a really small feeling of soreness across my whole body kind of how you feel after you workout for the first time in a while. I will say this is partially my fault, because I couldn't do the excersizes for a super long period of time To elaborate, the sequencing of the majority of class/classes made no sense to me whatsoever, it seemed like there were too many variations so things would be too heavy and difficult or painful so you couldn't stay in for it long enough for it to actually build tension. They do give hands on corrections which is nice. On top of this the instructors have an odd superiority complex about lagree that i've never experienced anywhere else. I even went further and had my boyfriend come with me one morning, and he had a similar experience. I never felt better walking out than I did walking in. I will say it's not necessarily a bad place to workout, but out of all of the places I have worked out this one didn't fulfill me. I also want to say that the instructors aren't bad, it's just the sequencing that feels ineffective to me. I really enjoyed Marilu.

The encouragement to go at my own pace really helps me center and focus on listening to my body and understanding. This is a wellness journey.

I love the owners,…read moreMatt and Nick, and I appreciate that they brought their approach to yoga to Atlanta (they also have a studio in Athens.) I have my favorite teachers and work to attend their classes as much as I can. For me, the membership plan is worth it if you can attend at least 6 classes a month. (Some people come every day! Multiple times a day!) I mostly attend Hatha classes but I also enjoy Flow and Super Stretch. The stretch, yin and restorative classes are the most beginner friendly. I've only attended a few warm/hot classes and they are not my jam. However, they are very popular with others! M3 is LGBTQIA friendly and has a policy against racism posted on their website. I haven't seen any other studio display such a message. As a Black woman, I notice when I'm the only Black person in the room, and I appreciate when someone else who looks like me is present and welcome in the space. (I don't want to be the only one y'all!) They have an app to use for scheduling and a very active IG page. They also have contests to encourage class attendance and give good prizes! I won a gift card to a local store and felt so special. The only thing I don't like is the class schedule changing every season. Some classes don't change but I've had to drop some classes because they are on a new day or at a different time. I can't believe that I'm the first person to review M3. It's a great addition to Atlanta yoga and I hope more people sing their praises.

It is obvious that, to a person, all want to be there and enjoy the art of inspiring others to perform at their best. The instructors that I have taken more than once alter the class routine in order to give participants variety in the Yonder Yoga flow. In a little over three weeks I have completed 13 classes with eight different instructors, (I only know this because the class bookings, by location and classes completed at what studio are displayed in the user friendly Yonder Yoga app.) One instructor, Melissa, made a comment that resonated with me, "You have started your yoga journey." That is truly the way it feels. If you are interested in learning yoga you must give Yonder Yaga a try. P.S. The studios are clean, fresh smelling, offer towel service and also offer mats if you don't want to buy a mat right away. There are private changing rooms / showers if you are coming from / returning to your office.

I came for a 6 am Barre Fusion class to kick off my week of unlimited classes. It was MLK day so…read morepeople may have opted to sleep in because there was only one other person in attendance. The instructor Ashley was welcoming and explained the difference between Forme and other barre studios. As it was described, and as I would soon learn, the difference was in bigger motions. Barre workouts tend to involve a lot of subtle pulsing motions. At Forme the movements are bigger which meant I'd be activating more muscle groups and getting my heart rate up. They incorporate some smaller motions as well. For the Barre Fusion class we did standing work for a while and then eventually transitioned to the floor for glute and core work. Ashley's cues were very helpful. We ended up using a resistance band, a small ball, and a single glider. It's crazy how you can get a great workout in with such small and unassuming equipment. By the end of class I left feeling challenged but still really good. The 55 minutes went by quickly. I knew I got a great workout when I felt sore later that evening. I also got to meet the owner Donna as the next class was getting ready to start and she was really sweet. She let me know that aside from the classes they also host social events which is nice. The other classes I tried: Barre Fusion Lift This class incorporated a weighted bar into the exercises. There was quite a bit of pulsing, squats, and lunges (front, reverse, side, and curtsy lunges). The bar was used during the ab/core section as well which really kicked things up a notch. We also used resistance bands and a small step stool. Overall I really liked this class. The pace was upbeat and there was minimal rest which kept things challenging. This class was 55 minutes. Barre Fusion Sculpt This class incorporated more ballet-inspired moves (plies and releve when we were at the barre) than Barre Fusion Lift but the tempo/pace was very much upbeat. The hand and ankle weights added more resistance and with the high reps there was a good burn throughout. The instructor, Lauren, was energetic and motivating which made the 55 minutes go by quickly. Booty Barre This class was the most ballet-esque of all the classes I tried. Donna was really good about giving people modifications either to make the moves more challenging (stand in releve) or to accommodate people with injuries. I wasn't drenched in sweat by the end but I got a good glute and quad burn. Just as a note in terms of overall level of difficulty, I'm very active (I workout five times a week) and consider myself to be in good shape. I found the Forme classes to be fun but challenging. Other details: Toward the end of each class the instructors came around and placed wipes by our mats so we could wipe them down. They have open cubbies where you can store your belongings, two changing areas, and a bathroom with toiletries and a hair dryer. The parking lot is shared and on the smaller side but I never had issues getting a spot (I exclusively came to the 6 am classes). Overall I really enjoyed my week of classes and will be incorporating Forme classes into my workout regimen.

The instructor Cortney led us through several poses, allowing for deep stretches as we reflected on our day. She encouraged us to go in and out of poses as needed based on our comfort levels. The focus was truly on breath work; specifically breathing through your nose to allow warmth of air and exhaling through the nose or mouth. Usually they just narrate on a mic what needs to be done which definitely leaves room for error/injury specially for new beginners.

That said, I swung here on my birthday, this Friday on the week of Independence Day. My first time here at the studio, and I had to sign a waiver and everything, as is customary whenever you attend a new studio. Wouldn't you know, they gave me the wrong form to fill out? Yep, it was the new membership intake form. I only found out about that after filling in all the blank fields. I thought it looked different, and that's because it's not the right form at all. All the folks at the front desk seem way too young for their own good, all girls, though not sure why it'd matter. But anyway, they messed up and gave me the wrong form to fill out, wasting my time even though it wasn't a big deal bc I showed up like 15 mins early, but more importantly I could see that on the desk they'd done the same exact thing to someone else who had yet to pick up their forms. Turns out the front desk lady was rather clueless, and they gave me the one form on the table (intended for someone else) that was the right one -- the form for an intake to a new studio, rather than a brand new member. Shortly, I overheard the same person asking via phone call, how to access that form on the site. I honestly feel this sort of egregious negligence can only derive from being too young and inexperienced. Definitely need someone older manning (or womaning?) the front desk. Anyway, I would be content to let that slide, were that the only mistake or inconvenience that was noticed. But alas, it was not. I mean, on the form I filled out, they could see the date I listed as my date of birth, was the same day as *today*. Still, no response other than dead, screaming silence. No "aha!" moment. No lightbulbs flickering. No bells pealing out in the early mid-morning. Nothin' but crickets, woe to the world. The workout was fairly decent. The first time I didn't see my name show on the screen, so I had to power off my HR thingy and then switch it on again. It seemed to do the trick, but it took a while. I've also come to workout here once more, and plan to at least once again before I pack up and head out of Atlanta. As I say, I'm merely a visitor here. Even after the workout, no bells going off, did not see "happy birthday my name" on the board up front. I had to go up to front desk and prompt them -- "Hey is this Lizzie's birthday today? Who is that?" "Oh not sure, hold on she might have written her name down there, not sure it's her birthday." "Oh, gotcha. I was just checking, btw it's also my birthday today.." *awkward pause* "ohh no way..?!? wait, that's pretty cool. Congrats, I guess, on the birthday thing." Anyway, bit awkward conversation, but I did mention to the coach earlier too, and she seemed a bit more receptive, gave me some tips on places to eat at or check out in Atlanta. Problem is, already had noted down those places anyway, so the suggestions largely weren't too helpful, and the cheer/appreciation for a members birthday was literally nonexistent. In my heartfelt opinion, I pay way too much for membership at OTF, and certainly not to entertain staff missing your birthday completely (even when it's on a form they ask you to fill out, and which they should be entering right after the fact) and not to receive shock and complete dumbfounded blank stares when the news is broken over the wire, so to say. The icing on the cake, people are mean to you here and the other members don't really care what you're doing when you're doing it here, but that's ok, I'm not here to make friends or anything but maybe receptive and open-minded moods would be rather splendid -- unfortunately, still a bit fat "NOPE!" on that front. In fairness, this is a generalized problem across most if not all OTF studios, so I won't hold this against them here (not too much anyway). All said, location is great, staff are not, and members are non-caring, unsympathetic workout robots. But hey, that's OT mindset for you, what can ya say. -- UPDATE (7/11/23) -- A manager or front desk person at the studio called me to follow up on my (1-star) review. They wanted to check if there is anything they can do to improve. It was also mentioned that the front desk person (that I had interacted with) is new -- it was actually her first week at the time. I appreciate that, and said that I didn't really hold the issue with forms and missing my birthday against them. However, none of the members have been kind or accepting of me in the 3 classes I've taken at the studio, and no one has initiated conversation with me, much less looked in my general direction. As such, I have to retain my rating of the studio, as my experience and time here at the studio (as a whole) did not leave a good impression on me.
