First time on Tybee island and my boyfriend was in the mood for seafood so we decided to try this place out. I got the chicken nachos no chicken extra cheese he got the combo seafood boil. The food came out really fast and was very good. He even had seafood later in the day and said that It did not compare to the seafood from this place and he would definitely drive over 30 minutes to come to the place again just to get seafood! I also got the rum punch or wasn't a very strong drink but overall very Tasted really good. Service was great, place was clean.... recommended. read more

Nice beachfront lunch spot. My friend has celiac and almost everything on the menu had gluten in it except the salad. However, they did offer to make any sandwich without the bun and to swap out the beer battered fries with something else. We all got the fish sandwich on top of lettuce and I subbed the fries for a salad. I've honestly never had fish that is so flavorful and fresh tasting. However it was a tiny bit too salty for my taste. I would also recommend the wasabi sauce on the side because it's very strong. I had some of my friends fries and they were great! read more

We were driving on Tybee Island heading back to Savannah and decided to stop for lunch. Looked online and found The Deck. Great staff, good food, and cute beach bar! We ordered the nachos, chicken Caesar salad, shrimp low county boil, and the red fish tacos...we would recommend all. Definitely stop by next time you're in Tybee. read more

Always an awesome time - Collin the bartender rocked out a packed crowd, served us cold drinks & hot food, definitely impressive and friendly service! Incredible hostess too, she was so sweet to us and seemed so helpful when she had a second to jump in and do what she could. (She definitely deserves a shoutout!) I love that you have direct beach access from the back patio - who doesn't want to walk on the beach before and/or after dinner?!? Enjoyed a Taste of the Sea, more than enough food to share and still stuff yourself! Beer was on point, great local selections and a solid Japan White Ale! Great experience overall! read more

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the lighthouse. Nice location...right in the water. We sat outside to enjoy the water. I had the mahi mahi tacos and my husband had the fish sandwich. My tacos served de constructed, you have to put all the ingredients together (wrap you're own tacos) which was different. My husband sandwich was good. However we both made a comments about the fish being a little salty for our taste. Other than that, it was a good experienced. Great location! read more

Came in at 1:30 and there was no wait! Great hostess and waitress, cleaned table before we sat, and very good service. Ordered and got food within 30 minutes, and the food was insanely good. I wouldn't recommend this place. I went to this restaurant a couple months ago prior to the covid shutdown and had the worse time. On Sunday's they would have live music and while the place would be busy it wouldn't be wall to wall people and going to the bar to get service was an exercise in futility. Came here on post Valentine visit after disappointing my lady on V-Day after being worn out by a long day of golf :-) This place is so great and fun. Aussie owner is a real gentleman, Hostess greeted us with a beautiful smile. Waitress Dawn was wonderful ... attentive, friendly, a real pro! Menu is simple and the food is great ... very tasty! Overall good! Worth your money to visit here. Blackened chicken sandwich(not blackened in any way but good), burger(good). At the bottom of the spectrum was the wedge salad, Fresh but boring and bottled dressing does not fly on this salad. Best dish for sure was the frito misto. Perfectly cooked and crispy seafood with a yummy dipping sauce. Rum punch was good. Plenty of staff, food came out very quickly which was good for us in this instance. We love Dawn. She is a practical, reasonable guide for your dining success! I had both dinner and brunch and both, accordingly, were fantastic. If you are brunching, do not pass on the avocado toast!! I also had the waffles. Meh...I'd get the grits instead, which one of my dining companions had. We vacation on Tybee every year, first time at the Deck. We were sat quickly (table of 6) and then left waiting for a server for upwards of 15 minutes. We ended up being served by Mak who was immediately so friendly and personable. She was quick and efficient and really made our night memorable. The food was wonderful; granted, we all had the signature deck burger and one chicken sandwich, but it was all phenomenal. I highly recommended swapping out the side of fries for their seasoned veggies, they were perfect. Thank you again Mak for making our experience so great. We will be back! read more

My wife and I have been hearing about Tybee Island for a few years now, and we finally visited. While looking for an oceanfront dining experience, I stumbled upon The Deck, and I'm so glad we did. Those were the best tacos I've had from a restaurant (and I've had quite a few). My wife had the pound of shrimp. She should've gotten the 1/2 lb, because she was shrimp-wasted by the time she was done (oh yes, she finished), but she enjoyed them. Last, but certainly not least, Quinn our waitress was great! FOOD: 3.0 This is the low point. The menu feels pretty limited - plain bar food at foodie prices. I had the burger which came out at room temperature at best. For the price, I was underwhelmed.It was served with theirs+ steak fries (??). The fries were thick and not crunchy. My son got chicken tenders which looked as generic as they sound - he also did not like the fries . My wife got the peel & eat shrimp and my daughter got fried shrimp. They both like their meals. OTHER: 3.5 Our tables were sticky. Other than that it was fine. Service: 4 All the service staff were nice. Somewhat decent beach food, but by no means 4 stars. The food was a bit bland- especially for southern food. Too much fried food. I tried the Poke bowl as a lighter option, sadly the rice was both over and undercooked. I wasn't expecting much, but that was terribly disappointing. I never write reviews but just had to after visiting The Deck. The amazing thing about this venue is you can walk in straight off the beach with sand still between your toes and grab a table on the outside deck and sip on a cocktail while you overlook The water. My husband and I ordered the Watermelon salad and the shrimp tacos to share but loved them both so much we decided to order another serve of each. The staff where really friendly, I have a few dietary issues and once I'd told our waiter, nothing was too much trouble and he helped me navigate the menu to choose what dish would suit me best. We heard the owners have a restaurant in Downtown Savannah and will definitely try that before we leave the USA. read more

Great food and wait staff! If you are by the beach you must grab a bite and enjoy the view.

Mikayla provided great customer service. Drinks were good. Oysters were good. I specifically liked their house oyster sauce.

Tried The Deck on a quiet Sunday afternoon. My wife had the Mexican dog which was amazing, super flavorful and rich. I had the fish and chips. The fries were, meh, but the batter on the fish was delicious and I loved their homemade tartar sauce. I had a house margarita, drink was strong and tasty! Right next to the beach, this place offers an awesome view of the beach with umbrellas for sale at great prices. It was quite empty on a Saturday which was fine with me because we were served rather quickly. With really really great prices and excellent customer service (I received a free piece of cake as a birthday treat) I'd recommend visiting this establishment. Enjoyed a lunch at the Deck. Outdoor seating wasn't available that day (there was a tropical storm rolling in), but we did still have a view. I had the fish tacos. This is a very cool spot. We only made one trip out to Tybee Island during our visit to Savannah. Our original destination was Raw Ingredients, but decided to change direction and go to The Deck. The weather wasn't great, but we still had a great view of the ocean from the deck @ The Deck. The atmosphere was great. The restaurant is clearly new and fresh. The only downside is getting to the restaurant behind the hotel. Parking isn't great and they were in the process of fixing the entrance. When we arrived, the restaurant looked busy, but we were greeted immediately and were told it would only be a minute. They sat us close to the front, but there isn't a bad view in the restaurant. Our waiter was fairly new, but very friendly and receptive. We ordered the coconut shrimp as a starter and it was out very quickly. The breading was crispy and delicious, the shrimp cooked well and fresh. They had a sweet thai chili sauce that was delicious, and some other sauce that was creamed base. My wife ordered the fish and chips, a huge sea bass filet with an extremely light and crispy batter. The fries were cooked and seasoned well, and you could tell the fish was extremely fresh and cooked well. I ordered the fish sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries. The fish was cooked perfectly, had fresh avocado on it, and a bun that tasted fresh baked. The sweet potato fries came with a blue cheese dipping sauce. This meal was one of my favorites of the trip. I will certainly visit here again if we come back to Savannah. read more

My son was starving so we stopped in here- PERFECT location! He ordered a burger and enjoyed it. We by far had the BEST service- and GREAT service is hard to find! Nathan was our server- we never had an empty glass, he checked on us several times- confirmed vegan options and held the door open as people came onto the patio. We ordered the smashed avocado toast without the feta cheese- it was loaded with avocado and greens! The seeded bread is vegan. I ordered a house made margarita- it's made without any artificial syrups- very good! I would definitely recommend this place! read more
