Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and buttered corn.
    Katie P.

I had the Salisbury steak with mashed potatoes and corn. For dessert I had the fried cheesecake. The gravy on the steak was a little over salted to me. The cheesecake was scrumptious. The waiter was very nice. My Pepsi did run out, but it was fairly busy. When I flagged her down she got me a refill.

You can get chicken parm with filet mignon for under $20... this place has great food with great prices, what else could you want? Oh glad you asked -- Shay took great care of us with an even better smile. Go here with confidence!

They are currently under new ownership and the new folks are great! The food is really good. This is a new dish, ravioli, cream sauce, onions and mushrooms. To die for. I'll have enough for lunch tomorrow!

Turkey and Bacon Club sans the Tomato. Their Onion Rings are homemade and delicious!

My husband and I were in Queensbury to get our first COVID-19 vaccinations and looked high and low for a place to have lunch. Sadly, few places operational for dine-in and far between. We noticed that the Peppermill was open as we passed, so we turned around and decided to give the restaurant a try. We were not disappointed. The tables were alternately utilized so there was an immediate comfort level. Servers wore masks and were very pleasant. Our waitress, Katy, was especially friendly and attentive. My husband and I each selected a Turkey Club (no tomato on mine), mine with onion rings (homemade and very good) and his with French fries (also very good and crisp as ordered). As advertised, the Turkey was fresh roasted and delicious. I treated myself to a strawberry shake. Yum. We will keep the Peppermill on our radar when visiting the area and recommend you do the same.

Broiled Ground Steak And Mashed Potatoes smothered in Mushroom Sauce with Coleslaw

Homie, Friendly, Welcoming, and Hearty. Thats about how id describe the meals here. Super Fresh and Tasty Food. I heard it would be so I ordered the Broiled Ground Steak and Mashed Potatoes both smothered in Mushroom Gravy. Boy did that hit the spot after days of camping up in nearby Lake George. My girlfriend had a Bacon Alfredo Rigatoni Special with Garlic Bread that she Polished Off. Exactly the kind of place thats brings me comfort and Fills my belly when im on the road. And the decor and vibe of the place and very Pulp Fiction Esque. A place youd expect locals and old timers. Highly Recommend! Just a Really Great Joint!

Super cute! Super affordable! Super good! Omg. So homey and just overall welcoming. You're sure to eat good here! And at a reasonable price

If you want to sit at the bar you get a great view of the chefs at work preparing your meal. If you want a cozier experience, sit in the comfortable seating in the rear of the restaurant. Our server was very attentive but chill and knowledgeable. We got the Utica greens to share as an appetizer, a cocktail and Mad Max local beer, then a burger with hand cut fries and a chicken stuffed poblano. Dessert was a passion fruit chocolate tart which we took to go. If you're looking for well crafted food with a creative twist, this place is a great choice. North country friendly and approachable with a sophisticated set of offerings. Some really unique cocktails too. Not a boring thing on the menu.

Taylor was one of the best servers we've had in a long time. Everything is made fresh daily, and if you sit at the Chef's Counter, you'll see it first hand. You'll also get great descriptions of everything from the awesome Chefs and maybe get to try something extra too. I recommend using the reservation system on their website and specify your seating preferences. You can choose from the Chef's Counter, the bar, a high-top table, a low table, or an outdoor table (weather permitting). We also appreciated them asking about food allergies on the reservation system too and they verified it when we arrived. We were so impressed with the unique menu options that are offered in the appetizers, small shareable plates, main courses, desserts, and drinks. We are already planning on coming back Sunday for brunch and know we'll be back again soon for dinner.

We chose Morgan & Company to celebrate our wedding anniversary after I specifically requested a…read moregift certificate to dine there because I had been looking forward to the experience. Sadly, it ended up ruining what should have been a special evening. I began with the French onion soup. The menu described it as being served with a crouton, but what arrived was two large pieces of bread with only the thinnest drizzle of melted cheese. Anyone who enjoys classic French onion soup knows the hallmark of the dish is a generous blanket of bubbling cheese, with the bread hidden underneath. I politely mentioned this to our server, who took it back to the kitchen. What came back was astonishing. Instead of remaking the soup properly, the kitchen simply added two more pieces of bread--for a total of four slices--and again barely covered them with cheese. At that point I declined the manager's offer to make it a third time. After seeing what the kitchen considered an acceptable correction, I had completely lost confidence. For my entrée, I ordered the coconut shrimp and added the glazed spare ribs. Unfortunately, both were overwhelmed by an extremely sweet, thick, sticky glaze. The coconut shrimp themselves may have been very good had the sauce been served on the side so diners could decide how much to use. Instead, every bite was drenched in sweetness. The ribs had virtually the same heavy glaze, and even the green beans and carrots were swimming in a sweet sauce. The entire plate tasted like dessert rather than dinner. I barely touched it and simply had it boxed to take home so we could wash off the sauces ourselves. My husband ordered the bouillabaisse, which had the opposite problem--it was surprisingly bland and lacked the rich seafood flavor one expects from that classic dish. Rather than complain yet again, he also boxed it up so we could season it ourselves at home. By 8:30 on a Sunday evening we were still hungry and began searching for another restaurant, only to discover that most nearby kitchens were closing at 9:00. We ended up grabbing Chinese takeout just so we could have something to eat on our wedding anniversary. The evening became even more disappointing considering the cost. We ordered a $150 bottle of Cabernet, bringing our bill to approximately $300 before tip. Spending that amount for a celebratory dinner and then leaving hungry to find another meal elsewhere is not an experience I ever expected. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, and I generally give restaurants every opportunity to make things right. In this case, however, the problems extended well beyond a single dish. Between the mishandled soup, the excessively sweet entrées, the bland bouillabaisse, and ultimately having to find another dinner after spending hundreds of dollars, this was an anniversary dinner we will remember for all the wrong reasons. I sincerely hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously, because it has the potential to be much better than what we experienced.

We discovered Morgan & Co. a couple of years ago and it's been one of our go-to places ever since. I'd read about Mint and people liked it a lot so we went there for brunch/lunch a few days ago. It did not disappoint. We had the opportunity to check it out following a wake in Queensbury. Our drinks were very good. My Limoncello Spritzer really hit the spot. My husband was delighted that his Bloody Mary did not include any olives (lol). However, $18 is steep for tomato juice, folks. We shared the Brussel Sprouts as a Starter. Both of us ordered the Crab and Scallop Cake Benny which was topped with hollandais, served on a bed of arugula and accompanied by tasty potatoes. Absolutely delicious! Our server was very nice. She seemed to be handling a lot of the tables and managed it well. We were not rushed nor did we feel neglected. It's a small place, cozy and welcoming. Love the china. There is a parking lot and also street parking. The menu is limited. If you have fussy eaters, you may want to check it out online before making a reservation (which is recommended). This warm cocktail was a total delight and absolutely hit the spot. We started with the house bread. I know it sounds like "just bread," but the texture was perfect, and the ricotta honey spread paired with it nicely. For entrées, I had the chicken schnitzel. It was crispy and well-executed, and the beurre blanc was silky and rich. I think it would have been even better with spaetzle, but the portion size was generous on its own--I'm just a starch girlie. My husband ordered the bolognese, which was flavorful and came in a healthy portion. He ended up taking some home, which we love because leftovers are never a bad thing. For dessert, we shared the pot de crème. The balance of caramel, saltiness, and chocolate was the perfect finish. The chocolate was rich and smooth. I also loved the décor--it was such a pleasant surprise to find a place like this in South Glens Falls.
