Slap yo momma delicious...don't...but this food might make you tap her cheek! Listen, I know its a business and they need to make money but these portions are huge....so ummm...either come hella hongry or I suggest split the meal! I ordered the Chicken Biscuit which is an absolute heavenly masterpiece. Soft buttermilk biscuits topped with perfecrly fried, well seasoned chicken breast tenders. Then, BAM, its topped with a blanket of gravy , bacon, and cheese. Jesus take the wheel! I split this with my aunt and it was plenty. We also ordered cheese grits and potatoes. The grits were delicious but I did not enjoy potatoes...so skip those. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal of pancakes and waffles so I think its safe to say you can't order wrong....except the potatoes. It gets very busy so arrive early or be prepared to wait...its worth it. The prices are high, but so is everything else in America...just spend it on good food , experiences, and travel/vacations and you are winning. Popular place, had a 40 minute wait, but the service was good & the food was tasty. Belgium waffle was really good, would love to try other items on the menu like the biscuits and gravy or the loaded grits. read more

The atmosphere is welcoming and open. As visitors we got the vibe "you're not from around here vibes". That is fine. We ordered and the service was great (not warm) like I said we were not from FL we are from Philly. The food is absolutely delicious! That bacon is the best bacon I have ever had in my life hands down. The eggs, pancakes and waffles divine. The only complaint my 12 year old had was the ham was not thick slicked and was a sliver. The next time we visit we will be back!! This place is a gem and the next time we may get a smile. read more

This restaurant BLEW MY MIND!!!! I literally have never had an omelette so delicious. I wish I could have this flavored in a form of a snack. It was so moist and flavorful. With every bite, it became more and more satisfying. The seasoning on top added bursts of savory sauce to each bite. If ever I was asked for a last breakfast, this would be the one. read more

I got off of work early today and I was in the mood for pancakes. So I search yelp and it gave me a suggestion for the diner, which serves breakfast and lunch. I tried the sweet and salty pancakes. I must say they were very good and I had a side order of their red potatoes and a cup of coffee. The food was good, but the ambience surrounding me I did not care for unfortunately the table right next to me a couple were constantly coughing and not covering their mouth which made me very uncomfortable. I couldn't even finish my meal. I had to have it in a to go container and get out of there !!. The restaurant is very very loud, not my cup of tea, so unfortunately, I doubt that I will come back again ! My server was very nice and courteous. She got what I ordered very promptly but like I said, I just didn't feel comfortable. read more

I do not recommend coming here 30 mins before closing time. We were not welcomed from the moment we were told we would wait for a table. We got seated within 5 mins of arriving. Tables after us that got sat were greeted and took order before our server arrived to even say hello. She walked past our table at least 4-5 times. When she did come to our table 10 mins after sitting we were told she needed to get in our order before the kitchen closes. She took no time to explain anything on the menu or give suggestions. We politely said we were waiting. I don't know why we are expected to give full order with no hello or welcome. Service 0. Food tasted great. Unfortunately bad service will always outweigh the food. You shouldn't be treated bad for coming in still during your hours you are open. We planned to not take our time and eat quickly as we could to not inconvenience anyone. We left while there were still others eating. We are not rude guests and it would have been nice to treated better. read more

Been here for a few breakfasts. Always delicious. This holiday weekend Labor Day was no different. Everyone that works here has a smile on their face and does not seem stressed although there are many many people waiting to eat. some for one hour. They do a really yummy breakfast too and prices are about same as anywhere We'll be here again because it's right across the street from Rosen shingle Creek- another Orlando winner! read more

Enjoyed some delicious breakfast @ the diner. I ordered the Strawberry & Nutella Waffle which was "infused" and topped with Nutella. Not sure what infused meant as nearly every bite did not contain Nutella. There was a tiny dollop in the middle which was pretty dry. The Nutella on top, however, was a sufficient amount for me to get my Nutella fix. I will mention that all the drinks on the menu were machine-based drinks. Machine meaning nothing was fresh. From the orange juices to the lattes, they all came out by pressing a button from a machine which was a turn off. I opted for the homemade sweet tea which I'm not sure was homemade or not. Nonetheless, it was refreshing. Service was super friendly. The gal helping us out was attentive. The diner itself was busy with a small line out the door. Overall, a great spot for quick breakfast at a great price. read more

The food was good. I was expecting more from all the recommendations. I got the tex mex omelette. Serving size was normal 3 egg omelette. I also had the fruity waffle and it was really good. I have had this place bookmarked for YEARS. I've never been close enough when I'd come to visit in Orlando. Let me tell you.. the food is delicious. It's cooked perfectly. The service? Amazing. They gave my son who is 1.5 years old fist bumps & were just so kind to him. It wasn't too busy when we went around 8am. If you go a little later in the day just know there could be a wait depending on time / day. But if you're looking for quality food this place is a must! read more

My boyfriend and I came here for brunch on a Saturday afternoon and there was still a wait at 1:00. The good thing is they have a wonderful tech-savvy system that lets you check which place you are in line and also tells you how long you've waited. Our estimated wait time was 35 min, so it wasn't too bad, and we were actually seated within 20 minutes or so. It goes quick! For food I got the street waffle taco with chicken carnitas. Very hardy breakfast if that's what you're looking for! I don't know how anyone can actually eat it like a taco though because it's so thick and hard to pick up! Instead, I just took the little holder out and ate it with a fork and knife. Much easier and cleaner to eat, and overall very delicious. My boyfriend got the chicken and waffles and really enjoyed them as well. I tried a piece and the chicken was super tasty and the waffle especially was super fluffy and delicious, especially with the powdered sugar and whipped cream!! The food did take a while to come out, but I understand they were busy. Service was good. Our waiter was friendly however sometimes forgetful or not always around. I asked for more hot water and he never brought it. A few times we had to ask someone else for other things. But again, I understand it's busy. Overall, I can see why this place is very popular and has a lot of great reviews. Would definitely recommend if you're in this area and looking for a classic, solid brunch place. read more

Bomb breakfasts. That's what they serve up at The Diner. Choose between pancakes, chicken and waffles, omelettes, and a smorgasbord of breakfast plates--you really can't go wrong. If you're not feeling breakfast food, then burgers, sandwiches, and salads are on the lunch menu for you. But trust me, I've been to the Diner twice and haven't found a better spot for breakfast food in Orlando through Yelp or WOM recommendations. On top of delicious food, the service here was amazing. Super friendly waitress who was very attentive and seemed genuinely interested in our party. The Diner is where it's at! read more

Went here on a yelp recommendation. At first glance it seemed like a pretty nice place. Only took 20 minutes to get seated, once that happened it kinda stooped down. Took about 5-10 minutes by the time the waiter came and got drink order. Service a little slow.. I ordered the huevos rancheros platter which was good. BEST EGGS BENEDICT EVER!! The hollandaise sauce is to die for and my eggs were perfectly poached. Our server was so friendly and welcoming. We got here around noon on a weekday and there was a wait of about 20 mins, not bad. Back to the food--pancakes were lovely. So soft and fluffy. The bottom pancakes did become soggy pretty quickly and the strawberries between the pancakes were flimsy and warm--not the biggest fan of those. Vibe of the restaurant was really nice!! read more

I had two places bookmarked as potential breakfast places the morning before heading home from Orlando, and @ The Diner is the one we ended up going with. Even though they had tables outside with no one at them, we were told we couldn't sit outside because they didn't have enough servers to cover it. In the middle of the morning. Whatever. Anyway, I ordered the meat lover omelet with house potatoes and my wife got the Nutella & strawberry pancakes. My wife liked the Nutella & strawberry pancakes but thought they could have used a little more strawberry. The omelet was very good and the house potatoes were better than I expected them to be. It was a little odd having to ask for butter for my wheat toast because all that was at the table was jelly, and then even more odd when two different servers brought over pats of butter. One person doing it should have been enough. For the most part I've given up mentioning in my reviews who is following mask wearing rules as part of the current COVID-19 pandemic, but I have to point out that no one in the kitchen looked like they were wearing one, especially the main lady putting all of the food together at the kitchen window. She had a look like she didn't care at all and don't you dare ask her to wear one. read more

I really had to consider if I was giving them 3 or 4 stars because we enjoyed the food; but, there were a few things that didn't go quite right. We stopped in for breakfast on a Friday morning. Walked inside and waited for the guy behind the counter to seat the person in front of us. A young couple had walked in after us and were standing slightly behind us and to the right as to not block the doorway. The employee returns and grabs two menus, greets the couple behind us and automatically tells them to follow him. We were clearly there before them and he didn't even ask who was next. When he came back he just says it'll be about a 30 minute wait. After explaining we were actually there first he said we could sit outside if we wanted. Why he didn't offer that first I have no clue. At that point I probably would have gone somewhere else but we were hungry and had someplace to be. We were seated outside on the sidewalk in front of the building. Our waitress came out pretty quick and was very nice. We ordered the Tex Mex Omelet, Loaded Biscuits and Belgian Waffle. Like I said previously, the food was good; but, it took almost an hour to get to us. Another couple that arrived 20 minutes after us got their food first. They actually appeared to be finished by the time our food arrived. I've never waited that long for breakfast food. Nothing we ordered was difficult to make or special order. The waitress was very apologetic but the morning was kinda ruined at that point and we were late getting where we needed to be. read more

Fast, friendly service with lots of menu options for the whole family. Visited on a Wed late morning before traveling back home. Had the Cuban, chicken bacon ranch and gyro wrap. Fries were thin and crispy and well seasoned. All portions were large and food tasted great! Restaurant isn't very big, but esthetics are clean and modern. Will definitely stop here again on our next trip. read more

Imagine a diner...where everything is better quality: the food, the service, the cleanliness, the decor. Came here while in town for a tournament and chose it based on proximity and reviews. Typical breakfast menu but with some nice extras, like fancy French toast or pancakes. In fact, I had a blueberry pancake and it was one of the best I've ever had. Our server, May, was lovely!!! Service is great...food is average, except the house potatoes...I will order those every time! I had steak and eggs...with the house potatoes and a kids waffle. The steak and eggs were not seasoned..the potatoes were perfectly seasoned (no ketchup or hot sauce needed). Coffee was decent. Very busy on a Sunday afternoon around 12:30! We were there with 5 people and there was an hour wait. It was worth it! They have bottomless mimosas for $25 with different flavors. I opted for just one mimosa apple flavored. I've never had it and it tasted like a boozy sparkling apple cider. For my entree, I got the special at the time which was pumpkin banana pancakes. They were big but not too big to where I could not finish them. I got a side of scrambled egg too. The only issue is they gave me whipped cream when I said I did not want it. They were very busy and it seemed like short staffed. They did well under those conditions. read more

Finishing my meal. Well I had high hopes. I asked for a booth and the woman gave me a dirty look and left. She tried to seat me at a table and I nicely said I'll wait while they were cleaning the booth for me.The food is bland and watery. The toast was the best part. I was a server for years. your typical theme park food, sit down and theming I had a cheeseburger and friends which weren't really anything special. The service was fairly quick, order by app and was delivered quickly. Had a freestyle machine so you could choose your own soda. I'd go again just to try other options. read more

I've been here for breakfast before and love their pancakes but my office decided to order lunch and I was pleased with their lunch menu. However, I would stick with their breakfast items. I did feel their lunch menu was limited and simple. Ordered the Turkey club and it was huge! The sandwich also came with a side so I went with their Mac and cheese. Overpriced mediocre food with limited service. Had breakfast there this morning and only 1 other family there but yet the service and food was really slow. The bacon was microwave bacon and the fruit wasn't fresh but yet the meal was still over $30 a person. There are much better places to eat than here! read more

I really loved the Mac n cheese and finished that up. The chicken steak was also delicious with the grits but a little too salty. Their most expensive patacon on the menu is the one with Picańha and it says $17...yet I got charged 25.90. Regardless of how good something is, there shouldn't be a $9 difference from what is on the menu. That is absurd. On my last trip- $43 for an empanada, tequeńos and a patacon just doesn't sound right for Venezuelan food, and I come from living in Miami where restaurants are supposed to be more expensive. Add a tip and you're paying over $50 for street food. That's wild.

I recently visited The Diner for the first time, and while there were definitely some highlights, the experience was a bit mixed overall. When we arrived, it took about 10 minutes just to get seated from the waiting list, which wasn't too bad. However, once we were seated, things started to slow down quite a bit. It took around 15 minutes before our server came over to take our order. During that time, another group that was seated after us had already received their drinks and placed their order, which was a little frustrating. We sat down at 9:00 AM and didn't get our order taken until about 9:15 AM. To be fair, our waiter was very kind and polite, but the service timing just wasn't there. After placing our order, it took about 23 minutes for the food to come out, and during that wait, we weren't checked on at all, which added to the disappointment. For drinks, I ordered an orange juice and a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate looked great presentation-wise, but the taste didn't match, it was very watery and reminded me of a basic store-bought mix, which was a letdown. As for the food, I ordered the Boston crème pancakes, eggs with cheese, and biscuits and gravy. The eggs were okay and nothing special but the pancakes and biscuits and gravy were the stars of the meal. The pancakes were incredibly soft, just how I like them, and both dishes were very flavorful and enjoyable. On a positive note, the restaurant itself was clean, had a comfortable atmosphere, and felt very safe. There was also plenty of parking available, which made things convenient. Overall, while the food had some great moments, the slow service and lack of attentiveness made the experience less enjoyable than it could have been. I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Diner, and I must say, it was one of the most delightful breakfast experiences I've had in quite some time. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the host who estimated a 30-minute wait time for our party. Much to our surprise and delight, we were called to our table within just 10 minutes. Upon being seated, we were immediately attended to by a lovely waitress who was not only friendly and welcoming but also efficient and quick. She promptly took our drink orders and returned with them in no time. The Diner itself was clean and inviting, making us feel right at home. The food, I must say, was truly exceptional. The eggs were fluffy and cooked precisely to my liking, while the potatoes, albeit a tad over-seasoned for my personal taste, were cooked to perfection. The pancake, a generous serving size that could easily be shared, was delicious with just a little bit of butter. To top it all off, the coffee was on point, making for a perfect breakfast pairing. Randomly stumbled on this place when I was trying to find a breakfast place to meet up an old friend. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The service is spectacular! May was a delight, she was helpful and always came by to make sure we were doing okay! I ordered the Chicken and Waffles and my friend ordered Cereal Pancakes. My chicken and waffles were the B-E-S-T that I've ever had! I've ordered C&W at many places (Hash House, The Coop, Metro Diner) The waffles were fluffy and the chicken was crisp and delicious. Great breakfast/brunch spot! Passing through town from the cruise terminal headed to TN, and found this gem on yelp. So glad we stopped. My 2 kids loved the chocolate chip waffles, my husband had the bacon/egg/cheese sandwich, and I had steak and eggs; all excellent. Fresh fruit was delicious; berries, bananas, pineapple. The menu was unique and vast; had something for everyone. Service was friendly and fast, and the restaurant was clean and trendy. Kelsey P. I been in this restaurant many times and I always ask for Josh. He's very nice and funny. Whatever we asked for he goes beyond the norm for a server. He's friendly and outgoing and we have never been disappointed with him. Since you said it was very busy and your food took 15 minutes, that's the norm for any restaurant. Are you a server? Josh is a very good server and every time I go there , I ask for him. Never had a problem with him at all. He's an excellent server. I recommend my friends and family and they were very happy with Josh. The food is very good and I go there at least twice a week. I would never go to Waffle House no comparison at all. This is probably my favorite place in Orlando for brunch!!! Our server Sean was absolutely helpful and made us feel like locals! The environment was friendly and extremely clean and the entire staff are passionate about The Delectable foods that they serve. It's an opportunity not to miss any time you're in the Orlando area! This was my first time here. I live close by, so have passed it many many times. I noticed it was often very busy and wondered... "is this a place i should check out"... and today i had the chance. I was alone, so found a spot at the bar, and Hatim was attentive to my needs, making sure i got fresh mimosa, as soon as my glass was empty. Also some of the other staff i interacted with was also amazing, singing with gustavo, while he packaged the silverware, or making small talk with the lovely Leidy, wishing me a blessed meal, and clearing my trays and giving me a to-go box. My fiancé and I went to this place based on yelp reviews. Our hotel had bad reviews, but these had raving ones. I had the pork eggs benny with potatoes and my fiancé had a chocolate chip waffle with Nutella and banana. They were good traditional American breakfast picks. I would go here again! The only knock I have would be that the pork could have a little more flavor. Turkey bacon cooked to perfection. Overall very good, but expect a wait if you have more than 2 people with you! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because we felt pretty cramped in there and kept getting bumped into. read more

Visiting from out of town and looking for an awesome breakfast spot? Come here. We are in Orlando for just two days and I'm glad we found this place online. They had a special of Chicken biscuits with homemade sausage gravy and OH MY GOD was I so sad that the portion was so large that I didn't finish it :( it was delicious! My husband got the pork eggs Benedict and that too, was phenomenal. Our server was attentive and kind. The eggs Benedict was mouthwatering and the ham had the perfect amount of smoked flavor to go with the creamy hollandaise sauce! The Nyc Reuben was made perfectly haven't had that good of one in 2 years and the homemade fresh to order fries stole my heart. While visiting Orlando, my niece, who lives there, found this diner. I was so pleased to find out that it was a family diner and they were from Astoria, Queens and I am from Queens too. The staff were super friendly and competent. The food was fresh and delicious. My niece's fiancé said that he had the best omelet he had ever had in his life. We waited only about 20 minutes and it was well worth the wait. I would strongly recommend this restaurant for breakfast or lunch. I hope to return when I am back in the area. read more

My husband and I stopped into The Diner for our first time today, and our server Sean helped make this experience exceptional. His service complemented the food, which was perfect.
