Mike did a wonderful job fixing a rear dent in my 2022 GMC pickup. I think the cost was well worth it...

I'd been unlocking my car manually for months, then he whipped out his tiny screwdriver and opened my fob to reveal a small battery. It was after hours on a Friday, and unfortunately he didn't have any of the size I needed in stock, but suggested I try a local parts store. Advanced Auto has always been my go to for auto parts as you can order online, track your purchases, earn discounts and the like. This location wasn't too far, just confusing to get to with a very long median that forced me to pass it and circle back around. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted and asked what I needed help with. Knowing the battery number made for a quick and simple transaction. There are tables set up in front of the counter to allow for safe distancing, and they moved the card reader back too. Before leaving I inquired about the sign on the door that said UPS Access Point. He replied that they receive packages if an attempt is made to deliver and they leave a note on your door. I ship quite a few packages myself and find the lines to be rather long at the stores, especially if you're just trying to drop off, so I asked if they also accept packages for pick-up. They do, in fact, also accept boxes which a driver picks up daily by 5:00 p.m. All in all, my trip was outstanding, leaving me with useful knowledge, and now, the ability to open my car doors and trunk with a press of a button again! Side note, if you don't have a good tiny phillips head screwdriver, its worth the investment or a great gift idea. I'm pretty proud that I did it myself for less than $10.

(I'm such a girl) I hadn't driven it for a few days, and the next time I tried to start it, it was completely dead. I jump started it and stopped at the gas station to fill up. When I rolled my windows down, I discovered that they would not roll back up! Certain I was having some alternator or electrical issues, and figuring it was going to be very expensive to fix, I headed over to Advance where I met the nicest guy named "Lance" Lance quickly came out to my car and checked everything. Alternator, Battery, starter...etc. Turns out, my car just needed to be re-booted and ran for a few minutes. Lance even looked up how to reboot the windows after a battery replacement, then he sent me on my after re-filling my wiper fluid and it didn't cost me any more money. Lance is a super nice guy and very helpful to a woman who was feeling extremely vulnerable. THANK YOU LANCE! YOU are a SUPERSTAR!!!

On the phone, our mechanic is honestly explaining to a customer that investing money into the repair is not a good mechanical choice. Better that he seek out another vehicle to purchase. Isn't this the type of mechanic one needs to have, instead of not saying anything? Other mechanics would just take the money, do the repair, and the customer would end up paying in the future for additional costly repairs. We're sticking with these mechanics. Thank you for having honesty and integrity. (5 months ago) They have been great in the past 2 years. They have been honest with us on what is necessary for repairs, personable, and have gone out of their way to help us. I would recommend this establishment.

Went with my son, a humble young man who's a vegan, completely eats organic, does yoga, loves his…read moredog, etc..all around cool guy and we were trying to find him a car at Nissan/Capitol Auto Group in Salem, Oregon. My son had been working and saving his money. Then, I'd help him out a bit, too. He found a used Subaru (#1 safety, nice color, great car for dogs, Subaru really supports dogs (pets), etc... and we liked this Subaru at the Nissan/Capitol Auto Group dealership. The car was not even listed on their website and was in the lot of trade-ins (with 75+ other trade-in cars) in a lot behind the Subaru dealership. So, I helped negotiate with finance guy #1 for $15k for this Subaru car and only if he agreed at $15k would we then take the car to an independent mechanic (AJ's Auto who are great guys!) to be mechanically inspected. Finance guy #1 agreed to the $15k and we dropped the car at the AJ's auto mechanic for approx. 4 hours which cost my son $170.00. Later in the evening, we picked the car up from the AJ's auto and drove the Subaru back over to Nissan/Capitol Auto Group dealership. My son really excited thinking he'd be driving his car home that evening, his 1st good decent car with good safety and was mechanically good...a car he would be using for several years to drive back and forth to work (Amazon) while he continued his college (studying Ayurvedic Medicine as he says, so he might help others in the world) Upon arriving at the Nissan/Capitol Auto Group dealership were met with finance guy #2 (no idea where finance guy # 1 was) and finance guy # 2 says to us that the price of the Subaru was now $17,500.00 and not the $15,000.00 originally agreed upon and that had been earlier negotiated. Increasing the price by $2500.00. Smh! WTH! I was livid! My son's spirit now broke. I spoke loudly telling the finance guy #2, that he should be ashamed of himself and what a terrible shady thing to do to this kid! I continued to tell finance guy #2 that not only did my son waste his time at the Nissan dealership/Capitol Auto Group, that the dealership lied and my son was now out his $170.00 auto inspection that he paid. (They finally reimbursed my son the $170.00) So, while we still haven't found my son a solid and dependable car, I'm telling this story so you all can be aware of the extremely shady practices of Capitol Auto Group and their dealerships. No integrity whatsoever. I will not now or ever be recommending any dealership owned by Capitol Auto Group and certainly never recommending the Nissan dealership in Salem, Oregon. their website says, Hard lesson learned for us at 100%...

They left my pregnant sister in law waiting for almost 1 1/2 - 2 hours waiting becuase they messed up and then tried to cover up their mistake. Then when we went to pick up the vehicle the next day, the girl in service said "oh you're here to get the car that won't start. It's the one our back with the window down." Hopefully nothing was stolen when they left it outside with the window down. Stay away. Drive to Wilsonville or anywhere but this place... you've been warned...
