We had such an amazing experience here! We went on a Sunday and the parking lot looked completely packed -- we almost second-guessed going in. I'm so glad we didn't! There were still tables available inside, so don't let a full parking lot scare you away. Do not skip the fried green tomato appetizer- to die for! I ordered the Sunday prime rib special with a loaded baked potato and asparagus, and it was absolutely to die for. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and such a great portion. My husband had the chicken risotto and loved every bite. We heard regulars talking about how amazing the desserts are. We were too full this time but next time I'm excited to try the bread pudding! Lovely neighborhood diner and bar. The owner greeted us upon arrival. Our waitress promptly greeted us and took our drink orders. She was very attentive throughout our visit. Open for lunch and dinner, menu has a nice variety. We both selected the home made IroNTon Burger, half pound patty on a brioche roll with bacon jam, garlic aioli, arugula, brie & fried shallots. Served with crispy fries, this meal was cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious. The owner visits his customers, checking that everything is alright, treating customers as if they were his family. The establishment is quite charming. Recently remodeled, it does have the original bar. Old time NT memorabilia can be found within. Plenty of parking, too. Our first visit! We live two minutes away so we figured it was time to check it out. A friend just finished telling us about the steamed shrimp on the menu. They said they are great and you get a ton... so of course I wanted to try them. We did the half pound and got about 13 fairly large shrimp. We went for the "with seasoning" option. They were delicious! We will definitely get the full pound option next time! For dinner, Andy got the roast beef (his go to everywhere we go!) he said it was delicious. He'd definitely get it again. And he raved about the roll that definitely was a beautiful kimmelweck that looked to probably be made in house. He got cucumber salad as his side. Said it was good, but to me the cucumbers looked soggy and the liquid in the bowl was almost to the top. They were swimming. I got the Philly cheesesteak with fries. It was delicious. Drove by this restaurant and decided one Friday night to give it a try. So glad we did...I got the steak gorgonzola salad which was delicious . I will definitely be back. The steak was so good. This was our first time here. The place is nicely decorated and clean. our server was pleasant and prompt. I chose the steak and cheese sandwich which came with fries, while my wife opted for the grilled sirloin steak and gorgonzola salad. My sandwich was very good, and the roll was fresh. I asked our server if the fries were fresh cut or frozen, and she said frozen. I have to say for frozen fries, they were very much like fresh cut. My husband and I went there on a Wednesday night, walked in, no one to greet us, bartender came out and asked if we were there for a party, no just dinner. We both ordered a bowl of soup, and share an order of fried green tomatoes. The soup was delicious but only warm, the tomatoes came out at almost the same time. My granddaughter had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo - loved it, I had the flat bread with mushrooms & cheese. I do not recall what it is called, but it came with diced tomatoes-which I do not like. Reuben croquettes are my go to beer munchie. The folks who work here really make you feel at home and are very accommodating, the bar is also well attended with special cocktails and they are working on some wines. First time there. Three of us had the Ironton burger, one medium, medium well and well done. We were all very pleased. I have to say this has to be the tastiest burger I've had.
