Easy 6 star if you could! For the short readers GAK9 is a priceless God send for obedience and…read moreenvironmental training! My wife and I decided to get a German Shepherd puppy female Heidi. I have wanted to have and train a female GSD (German shepherd dog) all my life since I was raised from birth with a female GSD, Heidi. I had also spent countless hours researching training methods and facilities. My wife was not convinced that boarding for training was how she wanted to have Heidi trained, but after meeting with Chase Haggerman at Georgia K9 NTC and our beautiful Heidi nipping her heels with 3 month old teeth, she agreed to enrolling Heidi in the basic obedience program. I must say thought the week Heidi was there was not easy for us, but it was tolerable knowing who's hands she was in with GAk9. They have an incredible facility with excellent staff. Chase Haggerman and John Wyrick are two of the most awesome guys I know! They are both extremely talented with K9 handling and have my up most respect and appreciation for setting the foundation for Heidi. A few months after completing basic obedience training we returned for intermediate obedience training and choose to train Heide on the remote collar...another priceless decision. As we pulled up to GAK9 NTC Heidi was very excited and happy to be there! We have taken Heidi everywhere that is excepting to us because Ultimately I hope to work her as a therapy dog. I would like to take her to retirement homes, hospitals, the VA. And put a smile on someone's face. Georgia K9 has an environmental program that we plan on enrolling her in as well as advanced obedience training. We are also going to work toward canine good citizen certification. I have no doubt with the help of the great folks at George K9 Heidi will be a star pupil. If you have read this far I appreciate you attention and assure you that if you want a great life with your four legged family member. And you want your pup to live a happy and safe life call on the trainers at Georgia K9! They are not your average dog trainer and the cost is nothing compared to the benefits of the training. Not to mention after training you can board for an extremely reasonable price and you pup is not locked in a crate like most other boarding facilities. I'll stop here and close with this. You cannot go wrong with Georgia K9. You have a customer and friend for Life! Alex Jess and Heidi

He came out a different dog! Walking on the leash is a joy, he auto sits when I stop walking, walks next to me, sits, lays down, and comes to hand signals. When I pick up the training collar he is so excited to go on a walk. They posted pictures during the time our dog was with them and provided updates. Before we picked him up they reviewed the training with us so we can easily use it at home, provided a memory stick of the training so we can refresh ourselves with the training. Many thanks to Georgia K9. I would use them again for training.

She can also have an extra half pill every 8-12 hrs if anxious during the day. Cover well with the turkey and give. If she is still anxious, call her vet to increase dose. When I picked her up on Sept 9, I was told that she wouldn't be allowed to come back to the kennel as she "wasn't a good fit". She was extremely anxious to the point that she was shaking and had to be hand fed. Unfortunately, when I arrived back home and counted the trazadone, I saw that no extra doses had been given, just the bedtime dose. The pill bottle itself even said give extra if needed. My instructions also said "If she is still anxious, call her vet". When I called Countryside, I was told "We never call vets". The problem is, I wasn't called either and my dog was allowed to be extremely anxious when she could have been medicated. I would like to know why my dog was allowed to be so scared when Countryside had extra medication to give her and failed to let the vet or me know that she needed an increased dose. Countryside suggested I get a home caretaker. My dog won't let anyone in her house. She's be very abused prior to our rescue. I've been working with a trainer to help. I sent an email asking for review by a manager or above, but got not repose from Countryside.

My truck broke down and had to be repaired in Maryland so we were a week late getting back. I knew the food would run out so I called and spoke to the manager. My dog was on a special diet. I told the manager to go to Hamby Road Animal Hospital to get more food and have them call me for my credit card. No one followed through and when we got back my dog had lost two pounds because she wasn't getting enough to eat. It was very noticeable when I picked her up. Then Covid started and the lobby shut down. There were less employees too so for years now I've never seen the dogs outside like I used to. Plus our dog seemed hoarse the second to last time she was boarded there which struck us as odd. Last March 2023, I had to have surgery. We boarded our dog for only two nights. When she was picked up, not only was she hoarse again but she had to poop 3 times in a row. So we surmised she was put in her room and ignored. She would only bark if she need to go out or wanted her play and walk times I was paying for. Our dog was so well house broken that she held her poop and barked to be taken out so much she got hoarse. We decided that she would never go there again. She is dead now from cancer but the two trips we made last year before she got sick, we took her with us. We decided not to use this place anymore.

We can now take Moose off leash comfortably knowing she will come when called, sit and stay even in busy environments. I feel like we are happier humans and she is a happier dog thanks to Sam's help. The training style used was also based on rewarding Moose with play rather than food or negative reinforcement, which I really appreciate and didn't know much about before. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. Highly recommend Dog Wizard and Sam!

Probably my highest review ever for a service I haven't used yet. hear me out…read more I just rescued a Rat Terrier puppy called Raffi from Texas, who showed signs of abuse and trauma upon arrival. I've parented/known many rescues in the past and never seen anything like the fear she exhibited. fully freaked out, I shot a message to Atlanta Dog Wizard with an SOS to help. Kat quickly got in touch and we had about a 30-min call, which provided me with INVALUABLE insight into my urgent situation. That information she gave me--keep in mind, I had paid no money for her advice or training to this point--gave me some practices I could use, right away, to make Raffi feel more comfortable. I still might officially use Atlanta Dog Wizard in the future, if Kat is any indication how the company does things. She has a passion for rescues and turning around challenging situations and making dogs (and humans) shine. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We took our puppy to Atlanta Dog Trainer for the group obedience beginner training classes…read more There were 5 weeks of training classes (4 with the dog, the first with just the handlers). The primary instruction was getting your dog's attention, the commands - sit, down, off, leave it, drop it and loose leash walking. Overall I was pleased with the overall instruction and experience. They did a good job of making sure the dogs didn't invade another dog's space. Homework was sent out each week to work on in sessions with the dog and this helped prepare for the next week's session. Would recommend.

We signed up for the two week board and train as a last effort with minimal expectation. All I can say is WOW!!! Tracy has been exceptional from start to finish and the follow up after he was home was icing on the cake! She followed up daily to give us a report with photos and videos and continued to check in for weeks! We have the sweetest dog and our family could not be happier with our decision to put our pup into doggie school here!! The grounds are sprawling and beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the value far exceeded my expectations. We paid $995 per week, so about 2K total. I looked at some other programs which were about 2,800 with kinda crappy looking properties and very pushy sales people. We are forever grateful to ADT and Tracy! Thank you for our "new" dog!
