I had an appointment yesterday with Lisa. When I arrived another groomer came to pick up my dog to groom him. I had used her before and was not happy with her. My dog developed an ear infection, appointment with vet $1200! Lisa came out and told me she doesn't do large dogs due to shoulder problems. I was not told this when I booked the appointment the week prior. I explained how I wanted him groomed, not a puppy cut, but short, take as much hair as possible. Ears trimmed and feet trimmed, nails trimmed and filed. Attached pictures of before grooming and after. The only difference is his feet. This is the worst place I will not recommend at all for grooming. I have an Australian labradoodle and she had very nice shaggy fur which we used to brush her daily . I came for a simple trim and hair bath and they made her completely bald, they shaved her off saying her hair was knotted which was not at all the case. I am very disappointed and they charged me $180 for this. I don't know if my dog's hair will grow like before we have been to couple other places and they had maintained her fur, unfortunately this was the only option we had as those places has appointments far out :( read more

My puppy went in for a basic groom - bath, nail and sanitary trim. We wanted to ensure we exposed him to a grooming experience at a young age as he will need grooming services throughout his life. When making my appointment, I was sure to mention this and would recommend doing the same if you are bringing in a first timer. The intake process is simple, you wait outside and the groomer meets you there to fill out some paperwork. When I picked my puppy up afterward, he seemed happy but had a lot of redness around his eyes and was extremely lethargic. I am sure this was just from the stress of a first experience with the groomer and maybe even some of the products getting into his eyes. I would say the experience was okay overall. I am going to try out some other groomers before booking here again but for a family with a pup who has experience being groomed, this place is probably just perfect! read more

We have been bringing our small poodle mix, Benji, to the Dog Spot for 2 years and have been very satisfied. The Dog Spot was recommended by our vet because our pooch is a rescue and had a lot of anxiety for the first year after we adopted him. Lisa is our regular groomer and was sensitive to Benji's anxiety. Lisa is attentive to details and performs a fantastic job each time we bring Benji in for grooming, every 6 weeks. One of the aspects I am grateful for is that the staff keep the front door locked, limiting the ins and outs of clients which could pose the risk for a dog to escape. Due to his anxiety, Benji is a "runner" when he gets scared. The Dog Spot is not trying to keep dog owners from seeing them work - you can knock and be let in - they're just making an extra effort to keep our fur babies safe. I would never go back there. They were very rough with my dog, and shaved her fur so short that she had cuts on her face. The cuts became infected and it was hundreds of dollars in vet bills to take care of the situation. They were in a rush. Rude and unhelpful to me, and not kind or gentle to my dog. Had an appointment for a grooming scheduled, the lady on the phone told me a specific groomer would be coming in and we were all booked. Showed up to appt- groomer didn't show up and the business was closed/locked. I tried calling many times, no answer. Called the next day again and complained that nobody showed up for my appointment. Nobody tried calling me or letting me know, and I drove all that way for nothing. I asked if I could get a new booking with a discount since I wasted hours of my day driving to a no show appt, they said they would see what they could do and call me back. Never got a call back, never got any communication or apology. Very disappointing and unprofessional service. Hopefully they see this and reach out to amend the situation. read more

We used to love this place. For over a year I brought my dog here, I always left satisfied with the service. Sadly after a while things started to get sloppy, I'm not sure why since there are always the same two guys working and they seemed like they knew what they were doing. The shop wasn't that clean anymore and my dog was coming back home with small cuts in his belly and sensitive areas. The services were taking much longer than usual and my dog was always waiting in crate for God knows how long even though we were always on time to our appointments (my dog is crate trained but there were other dogs who were crying and having anxiety for being inside the crates). The worst groomer I have ever been to. If you want a good groomer take your dog to Critter Clippers. They are excellent! The Dog Spot was dark and dirty. My dog left dirtier and with the same number of mattes than she went in with. Made me wonder if they did anything at all. They are super pricey for terrible service. TEETH BRUSHING- they do this here! This is a big deal for me not because my dog minds it at home, he doesn't, but I can never do it well enough to rid our golden retriever of his stinky breath. Today I dropped our boy off for a bath, haircut and teeth brushing. Not only did he look SO handsome and happy when I picked him up, but his breath smells amazing! Brian is great with our dog, and is right on time (took him for our 9am appt and finished right at 11am as estimated). The teeth brushing was FREE with a cash payment for the grooming service (vs using credit card), which is a steal. Even if you were to use credit card, it's only $10 to tack on a teeth brushing. I love this place--it's so cozy and comfortable and the groomers are incredibly nice. I took my 5 month old puppy for his first grooming and I was super nervous, but the groomers really put me at ease and did a fantastic job. I've known about this grooming shop for over 10 years and I'm thrilled to see the changes it has recently gone through. My dog loves Brian the new owner (former employee turned owner) and walks right up without hesitation. Brian always greets my dog enthusiastically and by name, a HUGE PLUS TO ME! My dog always smells way better when Brian gives him a bath (I've tried at home before, not worth my time and it's not even close to the results Brian gets). When it's time for his hair cuts Brian always does a really nice job... The place looks so much better now and I love the low key vibe I get. I used to go to petco before but I kept getting a new groomer with varied results. Prices are good, service is good, and my dog likes it here. What else can you ask for? read more
