Average and consistent. Sport peppers are unusually large and a bit different than most places - I usually get only one pepper per dog, so I ask for extras. Beefs Gyros and fries are good. Catered our son's graduation party. Excellent sausage, beef and eggplant parm, so many compliments on the food. The party pack portions are very generous and delivered promptly. This place is great. My only problem is that I never know what to get. I'm not much of a hot dog guy so I never get that. Italian Beef, Gyro, chicken sandwich, or a cheeseburger are normally what I get. The fries are great as well. The atmosphere is great. Tony, the owner, is very friendly; loves a good conversation. The only problem with the place is that during the winter, the breezes from the door make the place very drafty. If you eat at the back, you will keep warm. I don't think the village would have approved a revolving door ;-). read more

This is by far the best hotdog joint I've ever been to! Everything about it is awesome. I've tried the cheesy beef and chili cheese hotdogs. The owner is very friendly and always there. Staff is friendly and you dan tell there are regulars there every time I go there, which is a good sign. My kids love to go here because Oberweis is in the same lot! This is a review for the hot dogs only, I always go on Tuesday for 99 cent hot dog day and I must say they are the best tasting hot dog for the price I have seen. I love that they let you select the toppings, by the way you can get grilled onions-you have to ask-ask for pickle and they give you a sphere on your dog. Only minus is the poppyseed buns utilized but other than that the taste is just soooo good. read more

Don't be fooled by the small hot dog stand look of of this establishment. The catering is flipping fantastic! We had a party this weekend - ordered Italian Beef, Italian Chicken and Ravioli. The beef is supreme - not something order by a food service supplier and reheated. Nononononono. Beyond outstanding. And the bread. mmmmm. Again, not a bakery delivered roll early in the morning. Baked in house. The chicken? Never had any as good as this. The seasoning was spot on. And tender. Ravioli. Huge ravioli. The sauce - Nana would be proud. There were leftovers and I am hiding them for myself. Even kept the leftover sauce for another meal. Do you sell this sauce? The chopped salad is better than Portillo's. And that is a hard salad to one up. Owner Tony is personal, makes you feel one of the family. Staff in the restaurant are fun. This is my go to caterer from now on. read more

I frequent this place about every couple of weeks. I love the Chicken Pita - it's tasty and a lower calorie option. However, every time the owner is there I leave feeling insulted and disrespected. He has a very sarcastic, condescending personality that I feel is only directed at women who are there by themselves (I notice he doesn't treat the other patrons this way). The last time I was there I was on my phone waiting for my order and was startled when he called my name. He made a snide comment about that. Then as I finished up gathering my things together he made another sarcastic comment about how long I was taking. Also, he calls me "Trace" when clearly the name written on the bag is Tracy. I feel like I'm at Ed Debevics. Maybe it's just me but it rubs me the wrong way and was enough to make me write this review and avoid this place in the future. A shame because my husband and I really enjoy the food. read more

The Dogfather catered my little backyard wedding. Giant meatballs, mostaccioli, pasta salad, lemon chicken, and fresh garden salad. The food was hot and delicious. They came in, set it up, and my guests had nothing but compliments on the way out! Also we had leftovers that we gave to friends and they asked where we got it. I have been coming here since the place first opened about 7 years ago and i have always received excellent service from the counter girls. The food is excellent. I love the crinkle cut fries. I have tried everything on the menu but have settled on a favorite which is the sic inch combo beef and sausage. The beef is tender and juicy and the sausage has a nice spice to it. The bread its on is a nice soft bread you can tell was baked that day. My wife usually gets the chicken pita with honey mustard. But we will always mix it up the hot dogs. If I lived any closer I would weigh 100 pounds more. Definitely worth the trip to check out this place. read more

Food is good, service is good when not busy. Was watching staff make food - very fast, I guess because they use their bare fingers to apply condiments like tomatoes, onions etc. They did clean their hands - by wiping them on their nasty pants. Call at 8:15 to pick up a beef sub. I told the girl on the phone that I was on 59 and would be there in 5 minutes! Thought this would be better than walking in 5 minuets before close. I love the owner, prices are alright, location good...but no matter what time of day I walk in, the girl who takes the orders is rude, short with people and literally NEVER smiles, says hello, or thank you. She is always on her phone and I understand maybe the job isn't thrilling, but cmon!!!!! Get someone in there who is happy to have a job and actually works. It's hard to find a good fast food place in Bartlett that isn't a chain restaurant. That being said, I'm happy the Dogfather opened up in town. I must say I am a big fan of their gyros, and the chicken sandwich is also a good pick (the honey mustard dressing makes the sandwich)!! The homemade mozzarella sticks (cheese wrapped in tortillas deep-fried) are worth getting as an alternative to french fries. My only disappointment here is the italian beef sandwich. The gravy has flavor and a little kick to it, but the meat that is put on the sandwich is not what I am used to. It's a little too thick, a little chewy and is missing the flavor that the gravy has. Overall, I really enjoy this place, but I just wish I didn't have to drive to Arlington Heights or Elmwood Park (Johnnies) to get a great beef sandwich. read more
