Will was great, kept the coffee coming!! Food has served hot, very large portions, enough to take home. Tables are kinda sticky, but could be due to the humidity. Can't wait to try dinner, menu looks amazing!

When I was younger, I used to go to the beach each summer and The Dunes breakfast buffet was always a must do. I did try it again in the last few years and still enjoyed. But this trip we did dinner and it just wasn't that great. The waiter was very nice but the food tasted frozen and unseasoned.

Down at the OBX for some relaxation and had to make a stop here for dinner! Now, they have a great breakfast, but it's dinner time, so we're here for that! Within 15 minutes, we're at a table! I've had tuna for the last 4 meals, so I went comfort here with the amazing fried chicken! Great service! Classic Nags Head decor! All good here!!

Have been coming here for ages, always accommodating, reasonable waits and excellent prices. Good food, will always be back.

This review is actually a 4.5 star review. First time here. Food was absolutely delicious. We tried several apps (fried green tomato, oysters mockafella, shrimp and crab dip). All apparently were a hit. Several of us had the fried bounty of the sea. The rest had the Broiled bounty of the Sea. For dessert we tried a slice of the cheese cake, coconut cake and the cheese cake. All were delicious. Thw menu has a good selection and tge portion sizes are good. Had a couple of the classic margaritas which were very tasty. The service was amazing, and every one was very friendly and helpful. The ambiance is very casual and relaxed . We will definitely return.

    Nice breakfast spread

If you want to get in during high traffic times, definitely call 24-hours ahead. We were seated within 15-minutes of our arrival, in the dining room with a lovely view of the harbor. We noticed most tables had a nice view due to the very open floor plan concept. Our server was lovely: attentive, helpful and pleasant. She patiently answered questions and returned often to check on us, making sure our water glasses were full. It's the little touch's that make a wonderful dining experience. We began our meal sharing the calamari. Really well prepared and quite flavorful. So enjoyed the little peppers and aioli drizzle. Very flavorful. Everyone in our party of 5 was quite pleased with their meals. Our 10-year old granddaughter loved the fries and chose an appetizer chicken wings for her entree. The portion was quite large and tasty. Beware, the dipping sauce ranch has a kick, which she didn't prefer but we enjoyed. My husband and I shared the grand slam seafood trio. Each seafood item was perfectly prepared. With fries and coleslaw, it was more than we could finish. He added a side salad which was very fresh and I had creamy clam chowder (good but not as hot as ai prefer.) Our daughter and friend raved about their fried fish and pork chop diners. 4/5 of us took home leftovers. The view.... So relaxing and peaceful. Our bill came to $188 (without any drinks.). The tab was worth it for a complete fine dining experience (with no need to dress to the nines; it's the beach after all).

They take reservations and it sits on a dock with views of gorgeous yachts. Food- standard fare for the OBX. There's plenty of seafood options, and a few landlubber options. A couple of burgers were ordered, a few shrimp dishes and some fish of the day meals(Tuna). We also ordered a variety of appetizers: Homemade Chips with a chorizo queso, wings and crab dip. The oddest dish that was meh is the Shrimp & grits. It was not a fave amongst the tasters and the actual person ordering it. I ordered the shrimp with pasta. It was very similar to a more saucy Mac & cheese with big shrimp, plenty of shrimp. It also came with 2 pieces of garlic bread. The cocktails were nice. There was an oyster shooter that seemed to be popular with the birthday celebrant. The other cocktails were good. They do offer some bottle specials so we imbibed on a bottle of risata prosecco. Service- pretty good despite having to ask for lemons twice, and having to ask someone else for a soda refill. The server team worked well together.
