Driving down Pine Island Road, you may just miss this amazing gem...DON'T MiSS IT!! Definitely park your car and get ready for amazing service and food. i had the ropa vieja which was up to par with my own grandmothers cooking. It was perfect!! The meat was so tender, it was the perfect balance of tomato sauce and seasonings...which most restaurants fail to do. My husband had the Grouper platter and the fish was super fresh and delicious. We both had the sweet plantains, black beans and rice...which were amazing too. The whole restaurant and its staff were very welcoming. Alice, our server, made us feel right at home and treated us like we were regulars even though this was our first time at Eagles Nest. It's a casual restaurant and you have the option to eat indoors which has a very colorful bar and cute tables or outdoors under their tiki covered outdoor area that has picnic tables and a stage. Definitely coming back to enjoy the outdoors when they have their live music. Do not hesitate to drive out there and enjoy the true old school Florida vibe and great food.

    Parm Mushroom burger

Went here yesterday to try their burgers, I had the Parm Mushroom burger, it was delicious. One of those burgers where you need to dislocate your jaw to get your face around it. Ask for extra napkins too, you'll need them. My wife had a bread bowl filled with smoked brisket in juices, she said it was awesome. We live just off the island, but we'll be back, I want to try their pizza. I saw several picked up while I was there, so somebody likes them.

My second time here and I like it here a lot! Foods are very good and great services . Highly recommend and I'll be back soon !

    Ropa vieja

The food here is absolutely amazing! I got the Ropa Vieja and it was phenomenal, I could eat a bucket of their plantains. If you are in the area you need to stop here. The Cuban sandwich, ropa vieja and brisket tacos are our favorites but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! The owners are amazing people and it's evident through the food they serve

The sign is a little small, so be sure not to miss it!

Delicious topping & sauce. Highly recommend. They come 2 per order and they split them on plates for us since we just wanted a snack (only went in for a drink). The onion rings were also way above average, crunchy and delicious! Austin the bartender is really sweet and keeps the customers happy. Enjoyed sitting at the bar so he could serve us again. Don't recommend going on a holiday weekend though. What were we thinking? Well the beach had no parking and the streets were very busy. Glad we found a place to park at the pink elephant. We just wanted a little beach outing for vow-renewal "anniversary." Wink. Probably going again soon on our engagement anniversary!

Friendly staff and servers are eager to grab you whatever it is that wets your whistle. The large tiki seats a good number of people both at the bar and at tables. They had 3-man live band playing music while we were there. Loud enough to enjoy but not so much that you couldn't talk. The food all looked really good. We ordered fish bites. My only complaint. They're made with Swai. It's an imported fish from Asia. A type of catfish that is farmed. Ehhh. If I had known that before ordering I probably my would not have. I'd rather see local fish or at least fish from the USA. Especially being in a huge fishing town in SW FL. Overall, we had a very nice time at this chill decent car and I highly suggest you go try it for a cold beer.
