Went to see a live performance here and was so disappointed with the food service. I called ahead and confirmed that food would be served so I didn't bother eating before the show. My group and I were seated towards the front middle and we noticed that everyone around us was receiving their plates of food as well as multiple drinks within 20 minutes of us being seated (figured they were taking orders from the outside of the room to the inside of the room). After about an hour (with 30 min left until the show started), I actually stood up and went to a hostess to order. A few minutes before the show was set to start, I had to ask another employee to double check on the food ordered (eventually came out a minute before the show started). Overall, a disappointing and very stressful experience. Would think twice before watching a performance here again... and would definitely eat and drink ahead of time to avoid any issues. read more

I like coming here. Its a cool dive bar. The beer is good, and I like the comedy nights. The food is ok. I enjoyed the pork belly tacos. The brisket they served was very dry and I didn't like it. The mashed potatoes with the spice was pretty good. The last time I paid a visit, I ordered the steak. The steak was very thin, with a good coating of salt and pepper. It was ok. What a cool new spot in town! Overall we were very pleased. I do have some suggestions for improvement but nothing that ruined our first experience. First the service was top notch. Our server was very attentive and patient. The food was delicious, especially their BBQ. Best smoked brisket I have had in CA. The small bummer was the portions. I came hungry and left hungry. Two thin slices of brisket is not enough meat. I saw other reviews of the brisket and saw 5-6 slices and was excited to get mine especially since it's the most expensive item on the menu. I know you aim for quality and I appreciate that but I have never a BBQ joint that hungry before. The Pork tacos were very interesting. I had one of my wife's (still hungry) and it was tasty if not a little odd. The pork on it was awesome but the toppings on a flour tortilla did not seem to match perfectly. I would suggest a corn tortilla and maybe a lime creme fresh. Just an idea to play with. If you are gonna compete in LA your taco game has to be next level. The drinks were delicious and unique if a little small. Once again portions. Finally the brownie was delicious if not a bit dry. We specifically asked our server if it was moist, she said it was, it wasn't. But the sauce and ice cream moisten it up so not a big deal. We go to The End every month on Wednesdays for King Trivia night. The service there is great! They have good drinks and delicious food! I usually get the Shrimp Pasta and it's never disappointed me. I've also tried the pork belly and caprese salad. Heads up, the caprese comes with crushed croutons and grated carrot which wasn't my bag, but others enjoyed it. Ordered a margarita on the rocks which says $16 in the menu the girl charged me $18 and asked if she could put the extra two dollars in the tip jar which was very odd to even ask that. In all my years I've never had anyone ask if they could keep the change. So basically $20 for margarita that was 3 inches tall. The vibe and atmosphere alone is something I'd go back for. We were in the area and came for the live music, but it was actually a fight night, so it's nice to know they can/do show the UFC fights. What has happened to this place??.. so sad to see that it has gone down hill, the karaoke night was painful with a screechy host and music playback set WAY too loud, we asked her to turn it down and finally had to change tables to get out of the way her voice! This was a great find my wife found out about from a co worker who lives a few blocks away. Its a Bar/Restaurant with a stage for music. Kind of hidden in a neighborhood the food was very good and tasty. Had the truffle Philly. Boy was it flavorful and messy. All the truffle cheese and loaded with fresh red and green peppers. The service was great from the moment we sat down, our bar tender/server recommended drink and food options. The only reason I found this place is because I googled "bar/restaurants near Lovely Nails & Spa". Got my spring nails done by Trinity (LOVE HER!) then headed over here. This used to be the very subpar, dive bar-ish Hey19. I was not a fan of Hey 19. The End is the antithesis of that place. Amazing cocktails, better service and the food is BEYOND! Sidebar: if you're a Manhattan-enthusiast you MUST ask for your Manhattan the proper way (stirred) or you will get it shaken. As someone who lives very close to the End, it quickly became my local "watering hole" and every friend/family member that has come here with me always says how lucky we are to have such an amazing bar/restaurant nearby!! Everyone wishes they had an End near them! Not only does it give a local bar vibe there is elevated drink options and very good food choices, brunch dinner and happy hour! The food is spectacular! From the Cevice to tacos (brisket and pork belly are my fav) and the pizzas are to DIE FOR! Just got back from the End. Met one of the owners, Harry and what a cool dude. It has great food, drinks and is very clean and well kept wish a cool clientele. The brisket was delish. To top it all off, it's one of, if not the only bar in the South Bay that shows UFC fights for no cover charge. Might definitely be my new place to catch a drink after work.
