The grout was dark and no matter how much I cleaned, I could never get it to look better. Decided to check Yelp for companies around here with good ratings. Was able to make an appt easily with Evin to get a price quote. Our project took two full days. I was impressed at how diligently Derek and Kirk worked; it looked exhausting! Not inexpensive but you definitely get what you pay for. (Check out our before/after photos) Derek and Kirk worked tirelessly on our kitchen floors and on the second day, Derek spent all day on our two upstairs showers. The process for making the grout look brand new is very laborious and time-consuming but the finished product looks awesome! These guys were lying on the floor, pretty much with a fine-toothed comb, scrubbing the grout and applying sealant, etc. Topnotch work! Kirk was very knowledgeable and helpful. I learned the wet Swiffer is about the worst thing you can use on your tile! Derek was also very skilled and friendly. My only issues with GroutPro are these: * Prepare to wait. I was expecting to get a price quote immediately after the consultation, maybe 1-2 days later? However, after waiting 2 business days and then the weekend, I started wondering if maybe Kirk forgot about us. Then finally on the following Monday, we got the email quote. I guess I was excited about starting the project and couldn't wait! Fast forward to after our project---things were great and we were actually thinking of having GroutPro do more work. Texted the owner for a price quote and thought I'd get it within a week, but since it's been over a month, I'm thinking he forgot about us. So giving customers price quotes faster, as well as following up would be an area that GroutPro could improve on. * The hose that was used for cleaning our tile went from their van into our house. Not sure why they placed the hose on our lawn instead of the driveway but it ended up making some unsightly impressions in our front yard. I didn't really notice them until our neighbors pointed the marks out, thinking someone had ridden dirt bikes all over our grass. Turns out it was from the GroutPro hose. Other than that, we are super happy with our kitchen floors now. The tile and grout looks so much cleaner and brighter. Would recommend GroutPro to anyone looking to regrout their floors or showers. They do great work!

They were helpful in selecting a flooring pattern that matched our previously installed floors, and the estimating and scheduling process was straightforward and easy. The installation crew paid close attention to detail, and you can tell from the work around corners, transitions, and trim that they take pride in their craftsmanship and quality. We also appreciated how transparent they were regarding areas where our subfloor was uneven (which we knew would be a problem going into the job). They assessed the condition, explained the available options, and then corrected the subfloor so the planks could be installed the right way. Having a section of our hallway flat when it's been uneven for years has been a great bonus. It's reassuring to know a company like this exists in Concord. Fast forward to present day and time to replace 30yr old original carpeting upstairs. Because our prior experience with Fleury's went so well, naturally we returned to them for phase 2. I started with Chris at the store to present the project and he made suggestions for makers and brands to best match the Brazilian Cherry we had downstairs. Patrick was up next with onsite inspection, measurements, and bringing over samples. A complementary (and upgraded) product was chosen and install timeline was set. Javier and Kiko were next on the scene and took only 5 days to demo carpet, prep and level subfloor, and install flooring and baseboards in 4 bedrooms and a hallway. Patrick came by a couple times to check on progress and made a great suggestion to add additional underlayment. That - combined with their tried and proven method of gluing and nailing down the floor - made for the most solid-feeling hardware floor installation I've ever encountered. I'm a pretty picky customer, so when I tell you their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and finish skills are top notch - believe it. Prices and labor these days are pretty much standard all around. But if you receive this level of workmanship and flawless results, you sleep better knowing you made the right decision. This is a problem, because: 1. Each time I emailed, a different person answered. Probably 20 emails over 1 week were arranged before I could get a quote and schedule cleaning. Because emails would usually arrive late at night or around 2-4AM, I guessed the emailers were located outside of the US. 2. Phone calls are not effective. Email info could easily have been conveyed in a 5-minute phone call, but when I called, the representative didn't know anything about scheduling. 3. A third-party cleaner comes to your house. This means there isn't consistency in quality. The cleaners complained that there was too much work and that it would take a 2-person team 4 hours to do the work (clean 1.5 bathrooms, put about less than 10 dishes in the dishwasher). One worker did dishes only during this time (at $40/hr, that's about $4/dish). The other cleaned the bathrooms. And of course they finished in less than 1 hour. 4. Communication with the third-party cleaner was poor. After all the time I spent emailing about what would be included, none of the details they asked about were conveyed. This was part of the time I paid for, because 1 worker called their supervisor to try to get out of doing the work.

Noe and Maria arrived on time and did a beautiful job on the shower regrout and Noe even accommodated some last minute requests to add caulking in the kitchen and quarter round. Unfortunately, we had different ideas about what grout 'touch-ups' meant for the floors - I wanted a few spots regrouted to match the rest of the flooring's grout color - but it really lacked a professional touch and didn't look good at all. I did invite Noe to come back to redo it, and it still did not meet the professional standard I paid for. I would have appreciated more thorough communication from the start to make sure I was getting what I needed. To be honest, this was not the cheapest quote I got but paid more because of the great reviews. I would be happy to change my review to 5 stars if the team wants to come back for a full regrout on the floors, but I'm not planning to pay any more than I already have. I'll attach some pictures of the beautiful shower and subpar floor grout job.

The grout and silicone caulk in the main bathroom shower had been deteriorating for too long. It was pretty bad so I reached out to The Grout Doctor. I set up an appointment and Mac (a great guy by the way) came over a few days ago. He has over 20 years of experience and it showed. He went far beyond what I was expecting. Not only did he replace the moldy silicone all around the shower and replace all the cracked moldy grout, he completely cleaned the shower walls and floor with a razor. I never realized how much soap scum could build up even with fairly regular cleanings using a bathroom surface cleaner. Everything looks better than I expected it to look. I highly recommend giving them a call and let them work their magic. The shower now looks like it did decades ago.

And he repeatedly would argue like this about the very thing we could see in front of us telling us what we saw was not true, mismatched grout. He did this when he could not remove all of the white finish from the grout leaving some white spots in the grey grout, in the places where it was hardest to reach. He tried twice to remove the white from the hard to reach spots, and he said he could not. I want to say at this point he was very angry and did offer me a refund, and I suggested it felt unfair to not pay him at all (we have a strong sense of what is fair, and money is not our main concern, and they had spent hours, but with his attitude I should have taken the refund!). Instead I asked him to just come back and fix the grout and we'd call it even. When he came back, without asking me applied black grout colorant over the white spots, this time telling us the black was the same color as the grey grout. Clearly it was not, yet he argued the point that it was. He kept saying "this is the right color". Then he said in a year it might change to grey!!! (By the way, this was new tile that had the wrong finish on it, which is why we called him in... no way was the grout grey because it faded over time, it was always grey). When I saw this was going to be left mismatched, I asked him to just use the colorant over all the grout, leaving it all one color (I prefer grey but all one color was my priority). He said "We don't do that". Clearly they do! He had just done that to spots of the grout. Then, gaslighting us again, he again said that it matched (clearly it did not, it was high contrast to the grey grout) and then he said again that it would dry to match. Of course it did not. When he left this time, and he said when it dried it would turn grey, I don't know why I believed him, I think I was just exhausted by all of this. The same line had never been true before, but in the the exchanges with him he became so heated I just wanted him gone. So I thanked him and let him leave. And he left a job done horribly. No one would have been happy with that floor. I ended up hiring another company to recolor the grout and am very happy with the results. So it cost me twice as much in the end, but the guy I found was so very nice. He actually cared whether or not I was happy with the floor!!!! I clearly wasted my money, energy and time on this very rude man. NOTE: There is more to this story, when he first did the floor he did not do inside the closet, even though it is the same floor. Then when it looked different inside the closet he tried to tell me they used a different sealer in the closet area. I knew they had not, but he insisted it was their fault not his. He did, however, finally do the floor after spending much time trying to tell me it could not be done. For the hard to reach areas that were still white, I even offered that if he would tell me what to use I would clean the hard to reach spots myself but he said it's a "trade secret" and wouldn't advice me how to do it myself. He originally gave us a quote to clean the finish off our tiles, and to replace the grout. When he got there he decided just to clean the grout and not replace. Fine with me. But when he did the job, leaving several white spots where the finish was more stubborn he vehemently tried to tell me it wasn't white. I could see it was. My husband could see it was. Guests who came later could see it was. It made us feel crazy. He came back, begrudgingly and tried again, but still did not get the white off. Finally he used colorant over the white, but it was black, leaving the floor just as messed up as if it were white areas. I have attached photos of the white and black grout that he left me with, each time considering the job done. He did a terrible job but worse... he was so rude about it.

One followed up via text but once I started asking questions about insurance he stopped responding. The other never responded after receiving the video, so I was going to go with Thomas. I saw the recent one star review that was posted and I was concerned. I know things can go wrong with a job, but it's how a company responds to issues that tells me whether I should go with them. The review definitely gave me pause, but there were other good reviews for Thomas and his crew so I set up a time for him to come and do the work. To make sure there would be no unpleasant surprises, I asked clarifying questions about the work, his insurance, and his satisfaction guarantee. He answered everything I asked. On the day before the job was to start, we confirmed the time and he and his crew showed up on the dot. They hand scraped the tiles and reapplied the grout. I appreciated that they did not use chemicals. The reason why I gave four stars instead of five is because I specifically asked Thomas if we should start to drain the pool so they could work on the tile when they got here. He told me they would handle it. The draining process was going slow and his guys couldn't do anything until the level of the pool water was below the tile. Thomas finally suggested getting a sump pump to make the pool drain faster, but he had to drive a distance to get one. As a result, his workers were waiting around until he got back. I wish he would have come prepared with the sump pump, especially since I had asked about draining the pool beforehand. His workers did a good job, but the next day we saw that there was still some white staining on a couple of tiles that got missed so I texted Thomas. He said he would come the next day to check it out. He came and took care of it himself and then had us look everything over to make sure we were satisfied. We were.

I had enough and thankfully found Marsio to put in brand new tiles and he added a DITRA layer to also prevent future cracking from foundation shifts or walking on the tile. He finished the job quickly and left our bathroom clean. He is awesome to communicate with if there are questions as well. He also was able to repair 3 marble tiles in our foyer that had developed a hairline cracks due to the foundation cement cracking underneath, which was partially due to the original contractor not putting enough glue under the marble tiles.
