the photos & other reviews made this place look like a great local family restaurant . However, we decided to stop in- what a mistake. The prices are relatively high so you expect a decent meal- yikes. four of us ordered and all 4 meals were NOT WORTH eating. The Churassco steak was literally chewy tough meat on a plate, no seasoning and could not be cut- it was a big piece, but it's supposed to come with french fries, but didn't then when we asked for the fries about 20 minutes later they brought them and of charged us $4 for them - the fries had no taste. No salad dressing for the salads. Which were literally just shredded, iceberg and tomato. My favorite food is steak & fries... i should have been excited. The salad looked like a McDonald's big mac topping without the burger. The pork chops were so dry & tough and the white rice smelled like a mildew towel and sweaty feet. The pasta tasted like a bottle of expired wine mixed with tomato paste. It was so bad. None of us ate - and we always eat! on top of all of that, the bathroom was disgustingingly filthy like a 711 on a hot summer day. My family and I love to eat and none of us ate any of it. The people working g there were sweet but seriously do not know how to serve or cook. Steak & fries should come with fries. Salad should come with dressing. If two people are sharing two meals after asking twice for an extra plate three times, a plate should arrive. Maybe this was an off night, but not one thing was even remotely decent-

This is a great casual atmosphere with high quality food. As far as we can tell, all the dishes are made FRESH! Empanadas and pizza were excellent! Clean and cute theme. The waitress was very attentive. Bonus: the ice cream shop attached!

The sausage sandwich, a cold sausage! The bacon cheese burger, not saying the bacon was undercooked, it was raw!!! Will never go back!

She came over frequently and our drinks and food all came out fast! My only complaint is the prices; I get that it's on the water and it's beautiful, but we were sitting at a table outside with ants covering everything and paying $7 for a virgin pina colada's and $4 for a soda. I digress... we started with the gator dip and loved it! Kiddo enjoyed the Philly with fries. Hubby liked the gator wrap and I enjoyed the fish tacos with Mac n cheese. Portions were big, atmosphere was great. Courtney was great. A solid stop if you're in the area and willing to spend some money.

The river is so crystal clear, and there's something really peaceful about sitting outside and watching the water go by. The food was great, as it always is, and their shrimp ceviche is my absolute favorite item on the menu! It's always a must-order for me. I wasn't overly impressed with the Bloody Mary this time, but everything else was wonderful. We enjoyed a peaceful day on the river, sitting out on the patio, enjoying the scenery, and even visiting with the resident kitty. ‍ Definitely a great place to relax, enjoy some good food, and soak up a little bit of Old Florida charm!

Fried chicken was really tasty with a perfect crunch and juicy chicken. The fried catfish was breaded with cornmeal, perfectly crispy, also well seasoned and very moist and tender inside. The tartar sauce was homemade and very good but they also have a good peppered vinegar. Between us all we had an opportunity to try a lot of sides. Hush puppies which one of our hush puppy lovers said was the best she ever had (I'm not a fan of these overall so I can't really say). The potato salad was very good, creamy, with just a hint of onion and relish. Baked potatoes and sweet potatoes were enjoyed by all. Loved the crispy okra and green beans. Collard greens were also good. Of course, we couldn't leave without trying the pies. Caramel apple walnut was a little too nutty for me but it was still good. They key lime was my personal fave -- the crust was a good crumbly graham cracker that was definitely home made. We also had a lemon meringue and the chocolate coconut cream pie, which was essentially a half and half with chocolate cream and the bottom and coconut cream on the top. Both had beautiful, moist meringues with nicely toasted tops. On top of good food, we had a great waitress who was super attentive and very patient and friendly. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and looking for some nostalgic, good southern comfort food.
