This place is fire. Impossible to order something bad from this place. If this place was a woman I would ask it to have a seat on my face.

This place is phenomenal! Such great food in a tucked away place--don't drive by! It might be the best restaurant in the city.

The roughy was also very good with a flavorful sauce and large portion. My husband's pasta was honestly the best thing we tried! Super flavorful and herby pesto. Our server did a good job and we never had to look around wondering when we would be served so they seem to have improved somewhat in this area. However, other aspects of service are still lacking and this seems to be coming from the kitchen. The kitchen does not know how to pace at all so they make you put in apps and entrees at the same time otherwise "it will get all backed up." In an effectively running kitchen that should not happen. All the entrees and sides were also brought at different times. My fish first, then a while later my husband's pasta, then even later the sides. That was also apparently going on at other tables as we heard others asking where parts of their food was. Gotta get the kitchen running better. The portions are also strange and menu set up is odd. The pasta is apparently supposed to be a course between apps and entrees so it's actually not enough for a meal. However, as stated they are not running efficiently enough to do any kind of coursed anything. The pasta is also still serves at entree pricing. Overall, good food and table service was good. Kitchen service, portions, and prices all need work.

"Desmond has a barrow in the marketplace Molly is the singer…read morein a band Desmond says to Molly, "Girl, I like your face" And Molly says this as she takes him by the hand" (Lennon and McCartney) Man oh man do we love our Italian markets and delis. And we sure found a good one in Hamden on Friday. We saw refrigerated cases full of pastas and raviolis, counters with trays of pizzas, showcases with trays of prepared foods like sausage and oeooers, eggplant rollatinis, and seafood marinara, a sandwich counter for cold cuts, and a baked goods counter. We narrowed our want list down to three very different items. We bought two slices of their sausage pizza, two garlic knots, and three eggplant rollatinis. The pizza was fantastic! Super thin crust, plenty (and I mean PLENTY) of cheese, a very good sauce and delicious sausage chunks. Oh, and the slices were enormous. We made a dinner out of the eggplant and garlic knots. The eggplant was sliced so thin, and was so soft and tender, it resembled lasagna noodles! The rollatinis were loaded with ricotta cheese and marinara sauce and it was a fantastic dish. We split the three rolls and let me tell ya, one and a half rolls were plenty for dinner. The garlic knots were ridiculously loaded with garlic, not teeny tiny shavings, but big hunks of garlic cloves. Needless to say, they were fantastic as well. Our total cost was $24.66, and Sapori threw in four complimentary slices of fresh Italian bread with our order. We really loved Sapori a lot.
