Overpriced, small portions and food was not good on top of it. My husband had the Trip tip, tiny dried up meat with three tiny red potatoes and 3 asparagus - $24. I had the Shrimp and garlic noodles and it had 4 shrimp in it, flavor was not good - $22. Another in our party had the Salmon & Vegi Gnocchi, not much salmon or vegis mostly gnocchi and she complained of it being very salty - $23. Udon noodle bowl, too sweet $19. None at our table left happy. If you're interested in a good atmosphere for Appetizers and beer this place might work....verdict is still out. Find dinner somewhere else. read more

Had dinner here with local friends. Hanger steak delicious and cooked perfectly. Special was duck confit with creamy polenta- amazing! The pappardelle with shrimp was also decadent. Nice place and good food but service SUCKED. Order a drink and didn't get it until my nachos came. Never asked if we wanted another drink. Would have easily ordered 3 drinks each but theynever bothered to ask. Waited forever for our bill and staff more interested in cleaning tables around us then serving us. This was my first time at The Fat Pig and I was astounded by the quality and taste of their food. I ordered the cabbage noodle salad, my daughter got the chilled ramen salad. The crispy cauliflower atop the ramen & cabbage was so crunchy and the dressing had a light Asian flavor. My husband got the bratwurst. Now we are from Wisconsin and this is the best bratwurst we have ever had. They grind their own meat and use natural casing, this makes for a tender bratwurst. You take a bite and it just melts right in your mouth super juicy! The sauce made you want to lick the plate. I would 10/10 recommend for any meal of the day! This is actually our go-to restaurant! Awesome portions and quality for the price. Always gourmet and everything is made in house, which is important to us. This is random, but their chips are some of the fluffiest I've ever had. The burger is amazing, and we always fall head over heels for their tacos and duck nachos. The Food is good. If you're over about 30, you're not welcome here. They will seat you in a corner and ignore you to the point that you can't get a second round of drinks out of them. Beer selection was diverse, localized and fits the needs of any palate. The FOOD!!!!! Had four appetizers!!! Each was exciting and well balance. The PORK BELLY was by far the best thing I've eaten in a long time. The bang bang shrimp, egg rolls, and chicken bits all battled for a strong second place. Monumental rip off. Food was good and the menu was interesting, but the portions were tiny given the prices, and the beer was, well, a complete rip off. I can accept paying $10 for a pint in Manhattan, but in Sandpoint it's just plain price gouging. There are much more deserving dining/drinking options in Sandpoint. If you really want to pay extra for food and drink, you may as well go someplace on the waterfront so you'll at least get good view for the extra $. read more

This is one of my favorite spots in town to eat! The restaurant is modern, stylish, and comfy. Their menu changes fairly frequently, so I can't always get the dishes I love, but so far I've always been able to find something I like. They have a huuuge craft beer selection and although I'm not much for drinking, I only ever hear good things about them. I most recently tried their scallop appetizer, which was pricey ($15 for 3 scallops), but tender and flavorful. I've also had their chicken romesco sandwich and their chicken bacon special, both of which were great! Tim, the server we usually encounter, is always super nice and attentive. We were visiting Sandpoint and stopped in for dinner. We had the pork belly appetizer and split the duck nachos. The pork belly was perfect balance of salty and sweet with the crunchy onions-something I look forward to again. The nachos were a generous portion, duck confit, perfect avacado slices on top; a unique type way to elevate nachos. I am a beer lover and they had a good selection of beers on tap which I'm guessing rotate throughout the year. The space itself is beautiful. If you live in Sandpoint and need a space to host a dinner I would talk to these guys. I inderstand they are newer to the community (opened December '17) but truly hope they become a raging success.
