This place was great. Came here on a Sunday night around 6pm and for 2 people there was a 20 minute wait. Worth the wait. Place is casual and clean. Server was well-informed, attentive, and sweet. We ordered the sour cream and onion dip for an appetizer. It was very tasty and comes with their house-made chips, which I loved. For an entree, I made my own burger and got the house-made veggie burger which was great! Not too soft, and had a great flavor. I got it on a sesame seed bun and with lettuce, onion, pickles, and their own house-made Big Mac sauce. Very good. I ordered it with some fries which was also good. My boyfriend got the mushroom burger, which he loved. For dessert we asked our server what she recommended and she said the B5 chocolate spring rolls. This place still has good food, although I think it's gone a bit downhill since it first opened a bunch of years ago. As far as the food goes (this is only in relation to their vegetarian offerings) things are pretty good, but the last few times everything has been a bit underwhelming. The fries are good in that they're good fries, but they used to be really good fries. The veggie burgers have a good taste, and definitely beat the frozen soy pucks a lot of places use, but they could use some sprucing up. I think the prices are in line with comparable spots, and they have a few cheap beer options, which is awesome. The only other thing that matters to me is the ambiance. If you don't mind the kind of restaurant experience where everyone in the place is yelling over each other, then you'll be fine, but I'm not about that. Burgers are so tasty. Great to have gluten free options. The staff take the allergy seriously. Atmosphere is Worcester location is louder and more nightlife vibe than the Marlborough location. Last night I ordered take out - ordered the special bowl Hey Brittany Bowl (Brandt burger, feta, red onion, banana pepper, candied carrots, seasoned apples, cran-apple vinaigrette), and my husband ordered The Stark burger with poutine instead of fries (1/4 lb. patties, double pepper jack, red onion, thinly sliced jalapeño, bacon, chipotle mayo, brioche roll). I also ordered a side of onion rings in addition to all the above. Well, we ended up with the Hey Brittany Bowl with CHICKEN instead of beef, and the Stark Burger came with a side of onion rings instead of the side of poutine. Mine was what you would call a happy mistake on their part for me because I actually enjoyed the chicken - wasn't sure if I was going to like the bowl with beef anyway. We happened upon this surprisingly large restaurant/bar on our way north to Maine. Seating options include an outside patio, the bar and a separate small dining room. We opted for the latter. Each of us, that being my wife and I, settled on the basic grind burger which weighs in at 6 approximately ounces and includes lettuce, tomato, and onion on a sesame roll. The food is over priced for the quailty. I got Mac and cheese with buffalo chicken, and Kraft Mac n cheese tastes better. The chicken was also cold. 27 dollars for that and sweet potato fries wasn't worth it. One of the hosts also dropped their coffee and it went everywhere including on my pants and he didn't apologize, which isn't too big of a deal, but a sorry definitely would've been nice :/ the overall atmosphere was chill though. I was looking for someplace to go for lunch after a visit to the Worcester Art Museum and asked a friend who lives in Worcester for a recommendation. I owe her one! The Fix was easy to find, about a 2 minute ride from WAM. There's free parking with restaurant validation at a large lot across the street. Our entry was a little strange--we got there around 1:30p on a Thursday and had to wait with a couple of other parties because they were low on staff. Not sure if that was due to absences, shift change or COVID/post-COVID staffing woes. They were only seating in one section of the restaurant as a result. Even so, it wasn't very busy. The menu was a bit overwhelming--every kind of burger imaginable, and a list of "burger bowls" which is essentially a burger on top of a salad with all kinds of different ingredients. Each bowl was unique--Mediterranean, American, etc. I was planning on getting a Caesar salad topped with chicken as I'm trying to lay off the carbs for a bit, but after looking at the list of bowls I had to try one. I selected the "Raging Bull Bowl" (great name, huh? It comes topped with a burger AND a boneless chicken bresat). The salad was salad greens, onion strings, two kinds of hot peppers ( skipped those, don't do hot peppers), green peppers, cherry tomatoes and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. It also came with feta cheese which I asked them to hold. Oh, and ranch dressing. The waitstaff scored points by asking if I wanted the burger "pink." In my view this is the perfect question and avoids the long conversation about "what does YOUR chef call medium rare?" My dining companion got a regular burger which came with fries. It's worth noting that she is a picky eater and she practically cleaned her plate. Mine was delicious as well, and I was super impressed by the chicken, which was moist beyond imagination, as you can tell by the photo. One minor down side was that the background music was pretty loud and not to my taste. We asked if they could turn it down a bit but I didn't really expect them to and don't think they did. While waiting for a table at The Fix on a Saturday afternoon we ordered a drink at the bar (busy place, no seats at the bar either.) We paid cash for the tip and wrote CASH on the tip line. A month later I was looking through my statement for a particular charge and I noticed that the bar charge at The Fix was particularly high, and I wondered how two drinks could have been so expensive. Digging through my wallet I miraculously found my receipt, and I realized that someone had added a $10 tip to my $18 bar check making the bill much higher than I remembered. I've never had this happen before, so I was surprised and disappointed. (I'm never going to leave a $10 tip on an $18 check no matter how fabulous the service, and there was nothing fabulous about that bar experience.) HAIR IN MY FOOD! I really want to give this place 5 stars but after my last couple experiences, I just can't. I really loved this place because their selection is bomb, but the food has been going downhill it seems. The waitress was awesome, they always are! Every server I've interacted with there is great, and the vibe of the place is good. Shakes are good too! We came last year for my bday and they messed a few things up. It was a big party, so it happens, but this year was even worse! They over cooked basically every burger. They served mine incorrectly so the server took it back to get fixed, but didn't leave the fries. So I sat there, while my entire party ate their food, with nothing in front of me. May I suggest when you have to correct a burger to just take the burger and not the whole plate? When they brought my food back out (with fresh poutine luckily) one of the cooks hairs was in my egg! I haven't had a hair in my food in years. I was more annoyed than grossed out at this point (moms a hairdresser so I'm no stranger to hair in weird places). Nothing in me wanted to wait for my food to be remade a third time so I opted to remove the hair and keep the dish. The manager was so confused by this, but I had already sat there without food for 15 mins while my friends had already finished their plates, so I was adamant on keeping my food as I'd checked the rest for more hair. Uncanny to me that this still happens in the kitchen. Was the cook not wearing a cap or hair net? Also how did he NOT see it when he plated it? It was the first thing I saw when the plate was set down. Thankfully the manager comped the meal and gave me a gift card for next time. She also gave me a dessert on the house since it was my bday and they messed up so much. I definitely won't be bringing any large parties back here tho. We'll be going back to The Boynton for groups. First time I've been here so not sure if this is normal. Over salted to the T. Usually, a burger is bland. This was over the top sodium. The shining star of that burger was the homemade pickles. Opted for the chips. If they were homemade I couldn't tell. They too were over salted. The Cast Iron Cookie Sundae was good despite the lackluster Hershey's chocolate sauce "Craft beer" selection was ok at best. Did enjoy the Brix City Brewing Not Another DIPA. Majority of their beer was in cans. Wasn't expecting that. Not sure if I'd go back anytime soon. My server was friendly and attentive. read more

I frequent the Fox when I'm in Worcester a lot and never have I had a bad experience at the Fix. I've been going since they first opened. The staff are always super friendly, food is always out fairly quickly, and their burgers are always held to a high standard. So far, I've tried 7 out of 12 burgers on the menu and have been pleased with all of them. Ones that I continue to frequent are definitely the Phenomenal (pictured), Green Chili X (pictured), Spicy Tuna (pictured), and the Stark (not pictured). In my opinion, asking for the house made chips with their sour cream & onion dip on the side is where it's at because sometimes their fries can be a hit or a miss. By far, my favorite burger place in the Woo (and 2nd all time)! The fix creates juicy burgers that you can up or downsize with various toppings. I've had the pleasure of trying The Mushroom Burger and The Phenomenal Burger, which both are delicious! Vanilla shake was more like cold milk ( won't order again for the price/size) would have been nice to know it was topped with whipped cream, as I wouldn't have gotten it. Huge tables in bar area (loudness) that I being 5'11 had to climb up into and my shorter friend had to mountain climb. A little lack luster, mostly due to volume. Started with an order of fried pickles, which were really good. I'm not too fancy and just got a basic cheeseburger but it was cooked just right and had good flavor.
