The food was terrible I food to go. drove an hour to get there in an hour back home by the time I got home and opened up my food. The fish was undercooked, the flour that they put on there in certain spots was undercooked the potato was all dried up and the hush puppies were very salty. That was the worst 40 bucks. I spent in my life on food and I've had some pretty bad food but this one topped it and you couldn't even go back to have it fixed because they close at 8:30 and then they don't open up again until Wednesday. First time visitor to the restaurant. The place is a bit hard to find as you think you are in a residential neighborhood. The facilities are old fashioned and very well maintained. We informed our server we were first time visitors, and she was quite helpful with the menu. Both my wife and I ordered the fried flounder half plate with sweet tea. We were provided a full pitcher of tea served in plastic cups. The quantity was sufficient for the meal as well as a to go cup. The meal consisted of three lightly breaded flounder fillets served with cole slaw, hushpuppies, and choice of potato. We each chose a baked potato which was 50 cents extra. We found the food to be excellent, and the half plate was all we could eat. Our bill was about $31.00 which impressed me as excellent value for the food quality. This is an amazing fish camp joint. The wait was 15-20 minutes. The joint was clean, friendly service and not have half bad looking waitress. You get a lot of bang for buck on the fish. We had The pleasure of dining at the Flounder Fish Camp tonight, it's a Saturday night so there is always a line out the door on the weekends, but it moved quickly and we were seated in less than 10 minutes, so that was a plus! The fish is cooked hot and fresh to order, and it is brought out on a silver metal tray accompanied by french fries or a baked potatoes, hush puppies, coleslaw and the fish of your choice. I ordered a double fish platter of catfish and flounder. The fish needed a little salt and pepper but, otherwise it was piping hot and very delicious. The sides were delicious as well.
