Been a while since we have been to this location. Saturday morning 9am, place was 90% empty, used to have to wait. Had an almost empty cup of coffee going in. Lady said you can't bring that in like that, need to poor it into a cup. Okay I said, while she walked away I took the last sip and tossed the cup. Sat at the table, she brought a cup exactly like what I threw away and said poor your stuff in here, I said I threw it away, she could not let it go, said well if you don't like it you can leave. First, get rid of the pregnant girl who works the front. Her attitude is horrible and not welcoming at all. In town visiting, and I had an appt in Alpharetta, so I slid in here because I couldn't leave Atl without getting my "southern scramble" fix. I arrived at 2 pm. I knew they closed at 3, but since I knew what I wanted, I figured I could get in and out by 3. Greeted when I first walked in by a young lady sitting at a front table wiping down menus. She asked if I was there for a pick up. I say no dine in. That was when the pregnant girl got up from the table and walked over towards me, grabbed a menu, and walked away. I guess I was supposed to know to follow. By the time I got over to the table, she was already gone, didn't say one word to me. I waited about 10 mins before the waitress came over. When she did, she was pretty nice. I quickly ordered. Food came out about 15/20 mins later. It was still good. The greens were a little salty but still edible. The restaurant inside has bright colors, tables nicely spaced, and great Motown tunes in the background. The menu has lots of options for the discerning diner. Chicken & waffles 6 ways- I had the traditional. Breading was done with a great chicken/breading ratio and was a little bland as was the waffle. It would've been more flavorful with real maple syrup. The Three Amigos breakfast tacos with potatoes were excellent! Chocked full of savory goodness, the tacos had to be eaten with fork and knife instead of picking it up. Super delish. If you want to save a little money and not get such a huge portion, check the menu board inside (not pictured) for less expensive, smaller breakfast bowls. Asia i believe her name was she was very rude and disrespectful.. Her aggressive deameanor was off putting. I wanted to enjoy my breakfast but couldnt, as I was eating normally you greet a table and remove dishes after a meal is complete . I watch her take table after table providing barely and care all table full abd shge drop of the check as to collect money with no real customer service. When i got my che ck it was and i notify her - ask for manager she said she was - I paid cash and later as leaving ask for a reciept she argued me down saying that was the reciept with a time 2 hours before my meal but it wasnt --I belive either she keeping the. cash or running a scam. I have gone here over 30 times whenever we can't decide where to go, this place is amazing! The service is almost always incredible, and the best I ever had, is one of the best dishes ever made! My husband and I decided to go to breakfast at the Flying Biscuit location in Roswell Friday. We were seated immediately upon entering the restaurant and Cesar was our waiter. He was great, we were able to order our food quickly, it came out in less than 20 minutes and everything was delish! The biscuits are sooooo good! FBC is an Atlanta staple that started in the early 1990's and has at least 11 locations in Georgia. The original location being the Candler Park is known for their funky and eclectic vibe and decor. Of course don't let their hippie vibe fool you...they're serious about the quality of good food and great service. At this Roswell location, a special shout out to Sue our gracious hostess and waiter...not only is she a great ambassador for the brand...by bringing us samples of a couple of her favorite items but she is very knowledge about every item on the menu! Thanks Sue! For those who don't know they're known for their famous melt in your mouth biscuits, creamy grits and out of this world chicken sausage gravy! Another not often mentioned is their bold but never bitter coffee that is super good...they serve lunch but not had a chance to try that out but if its as good as their breakfast menu...I'm sold. read more

Flying Biscuit is one of the VERY few old-school intown Atlanta restaurants that has managed to succesffuly transition and expand from how I first got to know it in the early '90s (as a cozy little independent cafe in Candler Park) to its various locations around the metro area. After leaving Atlanta in 2001 and return in 2020, it's been interesting to see how the city has changed and grown--along with some of the restaurants like Flying Biscuit that were exclusive to "inside the Perimeter." And, although I now am an "OTP" resident, it's been exciting to find some of these old faves--but sadly, incredibly disappointing at times too, especially when realizing the quality and vibe I once knew is a distant memory. Flying Biscuit, however, is still just awesome: the menu, the food, the prices are all what I expect and enjoy. Even the service, especially in the context pandemic-related labor shortages, is friendly and surprisingly fast, even when they're busy (and when are they not?). Keep it up! read more

I sit here after a wonderful out of the box morning experience. I am reflecting on my past breakfast choices with regret. Wondering why I didn't go and see them sooner. One word to describe this place, WARM. The food was hot and flavorful and made your spirit warm. The service that we got from DJ was comforting and warm, and the Adele playing in the background made you feel like you we at Sunday brunch at grandmas house. We had amazing service, food that came out very fast, and it tasted great and was plenty to have leftovers for my wife and I both. The restaurant itself has a very hippy vibe to it so you'll enjoy it if you're into flowers / murals / bright colors. This is my second time placing an order at Flying Biscuit Cafe. The first time was in person and the second was for a takeaway order. In-person several months ago was good. However, my second experience was not that good. The review is related to the takeaway order. Not sure if hit this place at a bad timing but my order took longer than 25 minutes. I tipped the server who took my order for 4 items but they actually forgot my entree! So I didn't get to eat. The biscuits were good and my familys' entrees were good. But I was left to eat a portion of my daughter's food. That really sucked. What I noticed while waiting was that there is no person helping with the drink orders, like a bus person or manager. The staff was somewhat unseasoned by the slowness in the execution of the overall service. Unfortunately, I won't be going back. Not Wwen I pay for a dish and didn't get eat it. read more

Came in based on a recommendation suggesting flying biscuit is a nicer Waffle House. The server made the experience really pleasant and the wait time was literally under 5mins for my meal to arrive. Cannot complaint, flavor rating is between good and great. I'm happy I gave this a shot. read more

The Flying Biscuit is a local chain around Atlanta, it seems.  The style is modern American.  For phish pans, you can feel good about the hood cream for the coffee.  The coffee itself is good as well.  The sweeteners are all prepackaged, but they did bring the cream out fresh and cold.  The staff was kindly and had the expected southern hospitality.   I had the eggs biscuits and gravy.  It took a few minutes so it seems like the eggs were cooked from scratch.  I am sure they do the biscuits all day.  They were the perfect texture light and fluffy in the middle with golden brown ends.  The gravy is a dark and chunky and chicken based!  I had my doubts but they were put to rest with my first bite.  How ever they season this dark masterpiece, it's magical.  The only bad part of eating this was knowing I will taste nothing close to this in Chicago.  It also came it a generous portion of scrambled eggs, and a side of grits.  Both were fantastic.  About the only thing I had which was a hard pass was my side of sausage patties.  I foolishly thought what I had may not be great so I hedged my bet.  That was the worst part and they were still on the right side of average. read more
