This was my first ever Waffle House experience. I'll be the first to admit I genuinely don't get it but there service we received here would bring me back over and over. An absolutely delightful staff that were a blast, very positive and fun, singing, and super quick with the food. Waffle House is a ubiquitous Southern modern classic. I really enjoy an occasional late night visit. This WH location is conformed to the brand. Yellow, black, harsh, and odorous. However, if I do see the inside of this location up 400 North, it's after a high school football game. It's usually because we've lost, in which case, what better way to drown those sorrows than a corn-molasses syrupy slightly crisp waffle? Or maybe a greasy Texas Cheesesteak Melt with a couple of slices of bacon to make it especially magical. Tonight, we were served by a lady, tall and ageless, with an unusual accent. Between us all there was staccato exchange of requests and responses. She didn't let us get more than one ask in before she'd run off and bring it, and the next, and so on. Victor, the Cook/manager doesn't like to be wrong. I had to return my order four times and the poor waitress that was her first day Emma he constantly redirected her in the wrong way because he was too lazy to come to the table and make the order right.. When the other Cooke finally asked if anything that there is, he can do Victor the manager stayed with his back turned after he just jokingly played with his other team member saying bring him in for a Philly cheesesteak that he ate yesterday It was too nonchalant, and the service wasn't meant instead they stayed behind the counter, constantly making jokes about how they abuse their privileges at Waffle House . We walked in for breakfast this morning and sat in the only booth available, but we had to move to the counter because the air was blowing too cold on mom. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, Ms. Bobbie was our server and she was terrific, on top of everything--super fast, friendly, and perfect service. Ms. G-ball came over when she heard we were heading home to Chicago, her hometown as well, and chatted us up for a few minutes. The food was absolutely delish. Mom and I shared the two egg breakfast with scattered hash browns, bacon, a biscuit, and a waffle. My sister had a waffle and we all tried the biscuit & gravy. Coffee was hot, delicious, and Bobbie gave mom a nice to-go cup for the road (she offered to us as well but we had coffee already). This Waffle House holds memories because it's where my girlfriends and I would always go after a concert in the city. It's right off 400, very convenient and open 24 hours. The service is always fast and friendly and the food is greasy, filling and satisfying, especially at 2am. It gets the job done. This WH was simply not clean. The floor near the grill had tons of dropped food on it. Seriously it only take a moment to use a broom to get up the debris. The staff was bickering with each other and one server proceeded to tell us the scoop on why she didn't like another server. TMI. It's not the holidays unless you make a trip to Waho aka Waffle House over the holidays. Waffle House is open every day and night of the year. Yup...that's 365 days of good ole Waho eats. When we arrived the place was decorated in all its holiday cheer which I liked. They even decorate for Valentine's Day. You can tell they had a busy evening but the staff were all friendly and helpful. The food came out in a reasonable timeframe and they were generous with the portion. This Waffle House is located right off of 400 on Old Milton Parkway. I will have to start coming to this location more. read more

#CancelWaffleHouse #BoycottWaffleHouse I was seriously sick after consuming a bowl of grits with bleach on the evening of April 18, 2022, at 10:28 pm when my friend and I ordered the Texas Patty Melt and the All-Star Meal at your restaurant. Your employee that day was very rude and didn't speak until we spoke first and my friend was making small talk with her since he works across the street at QT. She was talking very badly about Waffle House while taking our order. After she checked us out, we gave her a $7 tip, and then she said that we better give her more since my friend worked at QT and is paid more. There was no way I could have anticipated I was about to be food poisoned with bleach or any unknown chemical substance at Waffle House. My friend called the restaurant several times that night and no one answered the phone. He was trying to warn them to throw the pot of grits out before anyone else ask for them but again no one answered the phone. I have eaten at Waffle House for many years and never had anything like this happen to me. I was terrified and thought I was going to die through no fault of my own actions. If not for the negligence of Waffle House, I would not have suffered any kind of sickness that kept me out of work for more than 2 weeks and a half, in pain, and discomfort for several weeks along with the anxiety of not wanting to eat out anymore. SUMMARY OF FACTS After going back to my friend's hotel, we sat in the lobby of the hotel to eat our food, and after consuming the bowl of grits; I began to have an allergic reaction to the grits that had bleach in them. The smell of bleach was very strong through the grits that night. I immediately started vomiting at the table. I ran to the hotel bathroom while still vomiting for about 5 minutes; afterward, I washed my mouth out with water and my throat and tongue were tingling so I kept washing my mouth with water. I continued to suck on ice to stay hydrated until I got home. The very next morning, I woke up with chills, severe abdominal pains, wheezing, difficulty swallowing, dry mouth, shortness of breath, and sore throat. And when I tried to get out of bed, I felt fatigued and I thought I was having a heart attack due to the tightening of my chest and the irregular heartbeat. I even had a loss of appetite for a week due to the soreness in my throat. On April 19, 2022, I called the Waffle House #1200 at 9:48 am and spoke with Manager Blake. I proceeded to tell him what happened and he stated that he just started 2 weeks ago and asked if I received a refund and that they do not use bleach. He also stated that he would check the cameras but did not even ask me how I was doing or even ask for my name or phone number. On the same day, I called Corporate Office at 9:59 am and got directed to a voicemail indicating to fill out a contact form. I filled out the contact form and no one contacted me until after 2 weeks when I had to go through the Better Business Bureau to even get anyone to reach out to me. I went to my Doctor and they told me that I had some type of food poison due to the condition I was in a On April 20, 2022, called Waffle House Corporate and the rep stated that it has only been 2 days and knows for a fact that no one is going to call me back in 2 days. She stated, "it would be more like a week or so and it depends on when it was received." I asked her by putting illness on the contact form does it constitute a sense of urgency and she said no. On April 21, 2022, I took frozen grits and a cup to an independent laboratory to get tested for any unknown chemical substances and was told that bleach was not found due to how fast it can dissolve if it was not done the same day or a day after being consumed. On May 1, 2022, I ate Chipotle with dressings and became nauseous, and threw up. My stomach was burning and my chest became tight again with wheezing along with the discomfort in my bowels. I still have aches in my stomach and am not able to eat anything spicy anymore. On May 3, 2022, I spoke with Richard at the GA Department of Health at 2:52 pm and he stated that he will assign an investigator which should take about a week to complete. The Department of Health dropped the ball and did not do the inspection until 06/02/2022. DEMAND Under "Respondeat Superior" laws, an employer can be held vicariously liable for the negligence of the employees, product liability, and premises liability. As a result, I am legally entitled to receive compensation from your company for my pain and suffering, loss of earnings, and out-of-pocket expenses as well as punitive damages. FINAL OUTCOME Waffle House told me after doing their investigation that I did not get sick from their food and only offered me a refund of the meal. The funny part of their investigation was the lack of investigation since they never interviewed any of my witnesses, the hotel staff, or evening contacted my doctor. read more

Stopped in to the Waffle House for lunch today with a colleague who has never been to try some breakfast for lunch. We walked in and sat at the counter top and were quickly provided menus and a place setting. After looking over the menu we both decided on the All star special breakfast combo. Was interesting sitting here because we had a bird eye view of true kitchen and got a show and a lunch for the same price ;). The kitchen lead constantly yelled out ordered to three cookers on the line. The food came out quickly and we enjoyed our fresh Waffle House waffles. The consistency was more like a thick pan cake but was still good to the last bite. The meal also included a meat, I chose sausage patties and he ordered the bacon, both were good. We also had two eggs made to order and grits or hash browns. I had never had grits before and "when in Rome" I tried them because we were visiting the South. Interesting, had a few bites but didn't finish the two big helpings that were on my plate. Lastly we had toast and jam. Truly a meal to fill you up! read more

We Wait to order while she is on the phone with someone who isnt take a order make us stand their awkwardly which is fine whatever it is what it is but then while still on the phone takes are orders (doesn't give us menus) and i order my usual which is a texas bacon cheesesteak melt with NO ONIONS clearly stated and hashbrowns WITH cheese and proceeds to mess those up and my drink and eggs which were just pityful to the standards of waffle house. 0/10 read more

Update 6/2/2019 This Waffle House has improved significantly. New management perhaps? The tables are nearly always clean and the staff is friendly/attentive. This went from being a sad little Waho to being one of my favorites in the area. -- old review -- Let me start off by saying...I love Waffle House. I've been to countless Waffle Houses throughout the southeast, and of all the Wahos I've been to, this one is definitely the worst. I've visited several times in hopes it would get better, but it doesn't. ThFloors and tables are consistently dirty and the wait staff is consistently slow and inattentive. I'm giving this Waffle House two stars because during crunch time (Sunday mornings), they usually do a solid job. If you're passing through late at night or if you want a quick bite after work...keep driving. There are a million better Waffle Houses and they're all right down the road. read more

The waitress is on her cell phone texting and so is the manager who's standing beside her. My husband asked them if they were open but they wouldn't even respond. I had a great breakfast experience at this Waffle house. I was in town for a few days and came to this location twice. The waitresses both times were really nice and attentive. The restaurant was super clean. I realized I really enjoy watching my food being made and was glad to see that things were made fresh. Luckily, the time we went they had blueberry waffles which I highly recommend. Breakfast for 2 with drinks came out to around $20 with tip. I'm back home in LA and miss this place already. read more

Gotta take my cousin (from Cali) to try WAFFLE HOUSE. Greasy, icky, make you feel sicky kind of food. Nothing healthy about waffle house. But still, it's a trip worth having. I ordered the 2 eggs with hash brown with a biscuit. I then proceeded to eat off my boyfriend's plate. They gave me little pins (one for me, one for my cousin) that says Waffle House Princess. Waffle House is what it says it is - a place to get waffles. But they also have other great breakfast items. They are famous for their hash browns which you can order in a variety of ways. My personal favorite is scattered and smothered ( broken up with onions). Generally good grits and fabulous pecan pancakes. If rated on breakfast only then easily a four. But other menu items are pretty standard. Still there is something to be said about good comfort food. For breakfast I'd give it a four easily. Price is very competitive for what you get. read more

IN THE WEE HOURS! Although I have lived in the area for twelve years, I have only eaten at this restaurant on one other occasion. We had tried previously but it was always busy, especially on the weekends. So the key to getting in here and actually nabbing a seat is to arrive before 7:30am. We had been awake a couple of hours when I suddenly had a craving for one of their buttermilk waffles while my husband was interested in an omelet. So, we hopped in the car and drove on over! We are the first customers and our waitress Kim arrives shortly after we are seated. There are several options so we take a few minutes to decide. I finally decide to order a waffle with a side of scrambled eggs while my husband orders a ham, onion and cheese omelet with toast, grits and a side of hash browns. When my plate arrives, I immediately notice that my eggs are DOA, (dead on arrival). They are flat, unseasoned and overcooked. I prefer a nice fluffy order of eggs that are lightly seasoned. The waffle is exactly what you would expect from a Waffle House: perfection. My husband's plate looks great, his omelet is nice and fluffy and seasoned well. Obviously, the person who prepared his omelet did not make my eggs! ENVY! His hash browns were nice and crispy but the grits were a disappointment as expected. No shade, we just don't like the Southern interpretation of grits because they are usually under-seasoned and overcooked. We like our grits with grit and just prefer to prepare them ourselves. This Waffle House is a great option for a fast and convenient breakfast especially during the wee hours when you are not quite ready to cook and the dining out options are limited. Service was fast, personable and professional! This restaurant is located just East of 400 on the south side of the road. It tends to be a little cool, so bring a pullover or sweater. read more
