Came here on a Thursday night for drinks and trivia. Fun ambiance with lots of foxes scattered throughout. Service was great. Fun, friendly crowd, and bartenders. Good vibes all around. Didn't get a chance to eat but the drinks were fantastic. I am rarely impressed enough by cocktails to say they are outstanding but the cocktails here were. If you have a chance they have a raspberry mule that is out of this world. Not a big vodka fan but this drink slays, have not stopped thinking about since I had it. Would love to go back and try their food, the menu looks great and very reasonable prices for the area. read more

First experience not great. Service was great, though the food was not. Porky pizza was good but the shrimp dish was basically just ok and my grilled cheese was not good. It barely had any thing on it except onion, which is all you could taste. You can see in the pic that there was one tiny slab of Brie and a couple small pieces of cooked apple so it was basically like onion on toast. Would definitely not order again or recommend. Came her on a Sunday afternoon, we enjoyed the atmosphere and everyone was super friendly. Love all the different foxes around the restaurant, fun touch. Food was great, we tried the pierogi's which were indeed delicious, but they have been perfecting them for many years now we heard (they had a catering business before the brick&mortar) so it didn't surprise us they were yum! The date appetizer is to die for, must try. Tried the Portuguese grilled cheese, was on point, eager to try the next one. My wife had the kale salad, which was good as well. What did the Fox say? It's time for some Wild Fox Pierogis!!!! I stopped in at The Fox Den in Downtown Woburn, which just opened recently. This prime space has been the former home of Black & Orange, Dharami, and Tanner Tavern. The place is a pretty low key pub which offers seating up at the bar with TVs to the left and tables and booth seating too all in the same dimly lit space. There is fox decor here including a cute painted fox on the back wall. I stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon and the place wasn't too busy. I asked to be seated at table with a comfortable soft back as I watched some of the World Cup match on the right TV. They had an NFL game on the left TV. I looked over the menu which offers pierogis, dipping sauces, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, grilled cheese sandwiches, mac & cheese, salted cod, shrimp Mozambique, Portuguese fried rice, wings, chicken tenders and a few desserts. They also have a lil pups menu too. I decided to go with the Mix & Match 3 Pierogis+ 1 Reg Side- Fries ($13 plus tax), Green Goddess dipping sauce (add $1) and Portuguese Fried Rice ($12 plus tax). My food came out in under 10 minutes and mustard and ketchup were brought out too. The salted golden fries were hot and crispy. The pierogis I had included the Little Portugal, Buffalo Chicken, & Mushroom Marsala which had soft dense filling in a grilled soft dough pocket. The green goddess dipping sauce was a great choice. The Portuguese Fried Rice had soft long rice (red), sliced chorizo, onion, bell pepper, tomato, and piri piri sauce, very tasty! After eating half my food, I decided to get a box to go so I could enjoy later. The check was $27.82 before tip. Overall, I really enjoy Pierogis which is a Polish street food I usually enjoy at fairs, festivals, and at food trucks, and sometimes at a Polish restaurant. Went here for a date night with my bf. We ordered the seafood paella, the pulled pork sandwich that comes with fries, and the crème brûlée donut. The seafood paella was firee. Very flavorful, and have plenty of seafood to accompany soft seasoned rice. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious and the fries were even better!! I primarily review BBQ joints but I gotta say this Portuguese/Pub style menu is delicious. Probably the best Chicken wings I've ever had. Smoked and then pan fried. Crispy skin and super Smokey juicy chicken inside. The BBQ sauce we got with it was excellent, kind of on the sweet side like a thicker apple sauce but perfect for the chicken. Had to try the perogies. They have 4 flavors at the moment, I think they change them out every so often. Tried the classic cheesy potato, Buffalo chicken, and the Little Portugal which I believe had linguica and maybe rice I can't quite remember but it was tasty. And a Mushroom Marsala one too but I tried the other 3. Came with a side, wanted to try some of these Roasted Beets. We also tried the Portuguese Fried Rice with Fox Den rice, chorizo, onion, bell pepper, tomato, kale, piri piri sauce! Lot going on there but wow that stuff was amazing! The colors are so nice too. And the Malasadas for dessert were sweet! They had 3 types of sauce and we had to try them all. Chocolate Ganache, Triple Berry, and a Bourbon Caramel. I think I could get drunk and a sugar high if I drank like 3 cups of that sauce but Oooh it was good on a fresh doughnut. The berries and chocolate ones were incredible. Excellent place to try something new. They even do their own pizza and grilled cheeses. We'll be back to try those and their special Mac and cheese. They do a lot of fun game nights too! I ate here for the first time today and loved it! Good beer selection, great food and the service was awesome. I had a food allergy issue and accidentally took a bite of something I ordered not knowing there was avocado in it, and they were extremely attentive and helpful, even going so far as to run to the drug store to get some benadryl for me. What a find! My friend and I stumbled across this restaurant and gave it a try. The owners are Polish and Portuguese and that's what we found on the menu. We each had an assortment of pierogis, with sauerkraut, sour cream and this wonderful red rice! We topped it off with a crème brule donut which was a slice of heaven. Went here for Mother's Day 2023 for takeout , just ordered 3 pizza's 10" each so very small. They were dry as a bone and very tasteless. We also ordered an order of Samosa's pierogi they were the worst things ever. I had to spit them out. So for 3 very small pizza's and one small order as in 3 pierogi's on the order was 78 dollars. While waiting for our order we had a shot each at the bar well let's just say that was 20.50. I can see why the restaurant was empty. This is coming from a Portage. read more

We were very excited to try this place however the food was a disappointment. We started with the kale soup which was just ok, not much flavor. We also had the pierogi trio, all lacked flavor , they all kind of tasted the same. The classic pizza was very bland even when adding salt and pepper. The Mac and cheese and the French fires were the best thing we had. This place has so much potential, the food just needs a little more love. I don't think we will give it another shot read more

Awesome food but a few recommendations, if people order an appetizer, bring it before the rest of the food. Also, I thought I remembered the chips being warm? Second is one of the basic service rules, check in with the table immediately after they are served their food by, especially if it's by the random kitchen people. That way you can tell if the table has everything they need which we didn't. The lady that was bringing us our food asked if we needed ketchup, we responded yes and she never brought it back out. After 10 minutes, we had to get up and go ask, finally after 20 minutes, a kid who I hadn't seen yet came up to ask how we were doing. Otherwise the food was awesome per usual, which is why I still gave a 20% tip. Actually, my wife made me which I think is stupid because it defeats the whole purpose of giving a tip for good service. Wanted to give more stars, but probably wouldn't return. The place is really clean and nice decor, the staff is friendly and accommodating. The food was just okay. Partners review on the pierogis were that they were just okay, he couldn't really taste the individual flavors under the potato flavor. The winter kale salad was tasty, but the kale did not seem to be massaged (it was tough), and the toppings were minimal. There were just a few small slivers of round carrots and two small shavings of pear. The Brussels sprouts weren't the whole sprout, just the outer shell part of the sprout. While it was flavorful, it was lacking in portion size and topping quantity. It was mainly just some tough kale with the occasional topping. It was $13. I wish I could give this place more stars because it is a really cool place, just not amazing food. read more

The food , atmosphere and employees were great, for the exception of the manager (older, heavy set, lady with glasses and shorter hair). We ate here twice during our trip. On our first time here it was trivia night and we sat at the bar. I sat on a chair and she ran up to me and told me to move since it was the area for the trivia MC. She almost wanted to physically move me herself. We loved this place so much the first time besides her that we came for a second time. The second time, after our meal, after we had paid, she came up and asked how everything was because the tip was not the18% suggested amount on the machine. I basically I did not feel comfortable when she came up and questioned me about why I have the tip that I did. I would hope the owners can look at this and have a talk with her. Between the three of us we ordered the pierogi meal with fries, the French onion soup, the Polska panini, the Portuguese fried rice and to finish the cheesecake with bourbon sauce. Everything was so delicious and tasted homemade. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming. We will definitely be back and often. read more

When my brother and I were out looking for places to enjoy a beer in our hometown of Woburn we were hesitant about going to this place cause of all the other places that were here. I'm glad we did though! We were great warmly by the bartender there Liz. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about this place. It was great. They have a great selection of craft beers which shocked me. They had great brewery from Portland, ME there too. It's n top of that the head chef even came out to introduce himself and recommended the wings seeing how they make their sauces fresh and even host a hot wings type of event that I'll be definitely at the next one. The wings were great and they sauce even better. He gave us their hottest sauce which was amazing in the frontend and pretty hot on the backend. The whole experience was amazing and enjoyable. A hidden gem in my hometown. I would definitely recommend going here over ever place around there. read more

I came here on a Saturday night with my husband and toddler. We were greeted at the door and seated immediately, with a high chair provided and a kids cup with a lid and straw. We order 2 perogies and the boneless chicken wings for an app. I haven't had perogies before, so I'm not the best judge, but they were good. The boneless wings were top notch - super crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with the perfect amount of sauce. Maybe the best I've ever had. They also had my daughter's food (mac and cheese w fries) come out with the apps, which was awesome! Dinner for me was a pulled pork sandwich with rice, and my husband had the mac and cheese. Everything was amazing. The noodles for mac seemed to be homemade, so chewy and delicious. The fries were perfect and crispy. The pulled pork was the most tender I've ever had and the rice was great as well. We finished off with one of each dessert (cheesecake and fried dough balls). The cheesecake was light and fluffy with a nice, thick Graham cracker crust and the dough balls were perfectly fried, a nice crust on the outside with light and airy dough on the inside, then generously covered in sugar. The food was 5 stars easily. The only non positive thing I could say was it took a bit for the food to come out. But it was worth the wait. We will definitely be back. read more

I was quite excited to see a restaurant with Polish food open near me. Granted, this place is a fusion with Portuguese cuisine, but it makes the experience even more interesting. First off, I appreciated the ability to make a reservation online. I feel that not enough restaurants offer this option and it should be a given in 2023. Second, the atmosphere of the place is lovely. We were not sure what to expect and spent the first minutes looking around the cosy room with big windows, culinary herbs on their sills, and cute versions of foxes placed about. The lights are dim and the decoration otherwise sober, which makes it a relaxing dining experience. When it comes to service, the waiters were attentive and helpful with menu selection. The only reason I cannot give 5 stars (yet) is that not all the items on the menu were equally good. I had an excellent cocktail and the seasonal samosa pierogis were delicious, but the classic pierogis could have used more flavor (maybe some more salt and pepper) and the side of roasted beets were served plain, while some sort of dressing or seasoning would have improved the flavor much. Maybe I'm being too strict because I compare it to my Polish mom's cooking, and I will definitely go back, but I feel that some tweaks in the menu would make it a 5 star experience. read more

The Fox Den surpassed expectations for a cozy little spot in Woburn. We were greeted by the hostess who then went on to become our server. She appeared to be connected to the family that owned the restaurant and demonstrated the kind of attentiveness and friendliness that makes a restaurant experience great. The menu is a quirky mix of Polish and Portuguese and includes grilled cheese sandwiches and pizzas. We began with cocktails which included the Apricot Smoke Show. It arrived in a smoke filled bell jar: a fun order just for the presentation. We also started with the pierogis which were delicious. I had the paella which was also tasty. We finished up with the flavorful Malasadas which arrived warm and with sauces. The restaurant struck me as the kind of neighborhood spot that would make you feel comfortable as a diner in many configurations beyond just date night: you'd be fine here with young children, or with a friend watching a sports game or also as a solo diner. At the same time, the cocktails and food surpass expectations in terms of originality and flavor for a place you might go to for it's proximity .
