This place is so much better than having to settle for applebees. **The service was a little slow but that was OK with me once I saw their menu. Everything looked so good. We ended up getting the fried portabello mushroom strips with parmesan cheese and a side of ranch and horseradish dip... The best fried mushrooms I've ever had. I got the Bayou Salad which was spinach, crawfish, sun-dried tomatoes, bacon, feta and parmesan cheese, and remoulade dressing. It's now my favorite salad I've gotten in an American style restaurant. My boyfriend got a huge po'boy. They had like 5 different kinds. His was shrimp and steak with red onions and pico de gallo with dressing. It was delicious, I had the leftovers for breakfast. They had a ton of appetizers, sandwiches, wraps, soups, and salads too. There was nothing on the menu I didn't like. This place was really good and is now one of my favorite places in this town. I Love Froghead Grille !!! Today, I visited the one in Clinton, MS. I had the Hamburger Steak with Red Beans and Rice on the side, iced sweet tea and a small serving of "Tyrone's bread pudding." Delicious ! The hamburger steak is ample in size and comes sitting on a bed of mashed potatoes and topped with gravy and onions. It can be cooked to your liking (I like mine just barely well-done). Of the many sides, my choice today was the red beans & rice, which is includes slices of sausage as an added bonus. It has just enough spice to tickle your palate without becoming overpowering. Also included is bread and a small side salad. Foe me, the salad could have been a little larger, but this is not a major concern. My Blue Cheese dressing made up for the lack of size of the salad. Bread Pudding: What can I say? It was delicious, and the vanilla bean ice cream and Honeybunny sauce left nothing to be desired. The iced sweet tea is always good there, and I left happy and well-satisfied. The service was efficient and friendly and attentive. Dress is casual, and the atmosphere is wonderful for an afternoon or a casual night on the town. It's definitely a great place to meet with friends and enjoy good food. read more

If i could give no stars i definitely would. Terrible terrible place of business.. the food is usually good but the service is just awful! This is hands down one of the worst restaurants i have ever been to. The workers were very rude and despite waiting 45 minutes my food was in fact, very cold. We stopped in Clinton on our way back to Texas and only had Applebee's or Froghead Grill to choose from for dinner, so we chose Froghead (why eat at chains when traveling?!). It was much better than expected. Excellent chips and queso, garlic mashed potatoes, and chicken fried chicken. The gravy was a little too watery, but overall it was a great value for the quality. This is a pretty good local stop. It gets kinda frustrating in the beginning cause there are SO many food options. I felt tired from just ordering. I had the roast beef poboy classic w/garlic mashed potatoes. The sandwich was great but the potatoes we REALLY heavy on the garlic. The wife had the froggy cheese steak w/ranch chips. Went to dinner here and I was somewhat surprised by the menu. They had plenty of options for everyone, but some of the New Orleans style dishes were questionable (I don't know anyone who puts cheese and onions on their red beans... just saying) that aside we stuck to the other foods and the fried pickles were to die for, they were cooked perfectly, which a lot of people get wrong! I did get the house made ranch chips with my burger and they were a bit over done but that's was the only so so part of the experience. The staff from the greeter up to the server were very friendly and welcoming and you even get to keep your drink cup to go. All around this place is a simple little good spot to eat. read more

My boyfriend and I have been eating here for about 5 years and the service and food has been consistently good. Tonight we took our kids and it took forever to be seated . We watched a table right beside us stand dirty for the entire length of our meal which took and hour. My boyfriend's shrimp platter we terrible and cold when it got to the table. The chicken strips in my kid's chicken basket were the size of Burger King chicken fries. My ranch chips were cold and soggy and you could bend them in the middle and the bounced back. I sent my chips back and they brought out a bother basket from the same batch. My boyfriend asked the kitchen manger if she would eat this, she said not and comped $2.70 for the chips. Which was less than 10% of the entire meal ticket. The server and food manger became agitated with our complaints about the meal and were not very receptive. I use to love eating here all the time, the food is absolutely amazing and always good. The reason I am giving it a one star is because I use to be an employee at Froghead a few years ago. Ever since I left, even on what I thought was on good terms, my food always comes out to me either extremely late or not the way I ordered it, sometimes even both. It's always correct on my receipt, but somewhere between kitchen and management my food is always wrong. Even when i'm with a group of people, my food is the only one that comes out incorrect. After several return visits over the years and countless wrong orders, I think I've about had enough of this poor service. I wont be back unless something is done about the poor service that seemingly is a personal attack against me and my time working for them. read more

I wish I had ordered a bigger serving of their exquisite gumbo. If you have any thoughts of going to one of the many chain restaurants in the area, banish them. Love this place. My sister went to college in Raymond and we went the froghead grill every time we came to visit. It is a favorite amongst the college students in the area. It's all fantastic from the fried pickles and gumbo to the gourmet burgers and wraps. The place is busy from open to closed. It's not pretentious and the atmosphere is welcoming as is the service. Food was good but quality has gone down since before. Also, customer services differed for certain patrons. We were told to order and pay at the counter before we sat down and to pour our own drinks. We then noticed other customers were seated by the hostess and she took their drink orders and brought them their drinks. In addition the waitress came and took their food orders (they did NOT have to order and pay at the counter before seating).
