Staying near here and stopped in for dinner. What a treat...this is 4.5 . Super friendly, attentive server along with a great menu which combined Cajun and southern for us. Hubs had the catfish PO boy with a side of cheese grits and he raved and he doesn't rave. Fresh tasty cornmeal crusted catfish with tartar sauce and soft French roll. I had the Bully Wrap which I'd read about but didn't see on the menu (diced chicken, lettuce, tomato red onion and jack cheese) with a sauce that was kind of sweet and sour with a hint of kick. My side was the creamiest cole slaw ever. We shared a serving of bread pudding with a vanilla sauce which was small but perfect having joined the clean plate club with the main course. Well we came here thinking we were gonna eat frog in some way. So no frog on the menu at all. They had a decent shrimp poyboy sandwich and the swamp nachoes and fried pickles were very good. The best thing I ate was the red beans and rice. They need a little work on cleanliness when serving their food and their lettuce was wilting and turning brown. Not appealing. Waitress could have been an little more attentive but for the most part did very well. I have to say the host was very nice and polite. The place is cute with all the frog decor. They have live frogs that the kids loved. Gumbo was very good also. Just sad no frog legs lol I was also impressed they were able to accommodate my mother who has to eat a lot heathier than most. An associate and I were in town on business and there were not too many places to eat and didn't want any fast food chains. We chose this because of the name and took our chances. It is not fine dining but had a pleasant experience. Had the chicken fried steak and it was done really well with no complaints. The wait staff was the best and on par with better restaurants. Very popular place judging by the amount of people who were there. There were actually large groups of people who left due to how crowded it was. Despite how busy they were, the service was good and the food came out promptly. The food was very tasty and the portions were huge. My wife and I both placed half our orders in a to go container and was very satisfied with what we ate. I was even impressed that they allowed you to chose a smaller version of dessert for a side. My only criticism was that it didn't feel as clean. It perhaps could be attributed to the fact they they were extremely busy but I did feel it could have been a little cleaner especially around the drink area. Nothing special. We wish we'd stopped at one of the fast food restaurants instead of here. We had tender, but untasty/bland chicken tenders and a teriyaki tasting chicken sandwich with ranch chips. The sauce on the sandwich was strange as was the taste of the stale feeling chips. The 2 sweet tea canisters were completely empty and when they were finally filled up, it wasn't very sweet. The floor was filthy with food all over it and there were SEVERAL uncleared tables. When we notified the staff about that, they didn't seem phased and kept serving/taking orders from many customers who'd pretty quickly realize their seating options were limited. The ladies restroom was completely out of paper towels and, again, staff was unphased to learn of it. Strange, dirty place with lackluster food options. We're in the road and now realize we were never served the 2 bread puddings we paid for. So now we change to 1 star rating! Oh, the side salad was good. read more

Food was good. But service was horrible and not the same for all customers. When we arrived we were told we needed to order and pay at counter before we could sit down. After ordering and paying we were told we also were in charge of pouring our own drinks at the fountain. I found this strange due to most places not allowing customers near the fountain drink because of Covid. But figured they had different polices. Once we sat down less then 10 min later another family arrived, the hostess sat them down(with out them ordering at counter and got their drinks from the fountain and sent them a waitress over to take their order at the table). I'm not one to say race played a part but we were the only African American individuals there. All the other patrons were sat down prior to the ordering or paying. When asked about the difference in service the hostess acted as if she didn't know what we meant and went back to her station and returned to playing on her phone. We tried to give her the benefit of doubt because she was an African American women but noticing that time after time she treated all other patrons differently bothered us and we decided we will not be returning to support this business. read more

My parents live in Clinton and we frequent Froghead Grill regularly. Wonderful salads, great burgers, sweet potato fries with addictive "honey bunny" sauce my kids can't get enough of. I am hooked on the Pacific wrap. Homemade remoulade is to die for!!!!! Would like bottles of that to take home. read more

Was driving down interstate and found on Yelp. Not a terrible place. I had the pacific Wrap it was the highlight of my experience at the Froghead. For my side I got the ranch chips this was a good idea a little over done. There was enough ranch seasoning for 5 orders of chips. If you drink water bring a bottle with you there water taste weird. read more

This is a wonderful place to stop if you want a unique menu with New Orleans flair. It's not a quick stop, so not ideal if you're in a rush on a road trip, but $2 kids meals on tuesdays and delicious gumbo, crawfish quesadillas and wraps. read more

I went to the Froghead last night and got the surf n turf po boy and cheese sticks. The po boy was very good. The reason I gave this place 5 stars is because the service was absolutely excellent. I stumbled upon this nice gem in Clinton, MS. The place was warm and inviting and had a great menu. I started with "Cheese and Cracklin", which was freshly fried pork skins and the best pimento cheese I've every had. It was a sizeable offering and enough was left over for a nice breakfast the next day. The menu was very good with some beef, chicken, pork and seafood entrees. A fellow bar patron chose the fresh grilled redfish and by the looks of his plate, he enjoyed every bite. I chose the ribeye. It was well-marbled, perfectly seasoned and right on that rare-medium rare border that makes a great steak. The side item that night was roasted Brussel sprouts. While it was a simple offering, it was awesome! I only wish I had more. Limited wine menu and it's a bit pricey. Drinks were good and the bartender was fantastic. read more

Not being in a familiar area we were skeptical at trying a new place, BUT BOYYYYYY can I tell you, this restaurant is where it's at! Yansey gave us GREAT service, she's absolutely golden. Being very indecisive because of so many great options, Yansey never made us feel rushed. The wait was short (said it was going to be 10-15 mins but it was not), service was phenomenal, and the food was mouthwatering delicious. This is the only time I have eaten at this restaurant. The restaurant parking lot had a lot of trash in it which did not leave me with a positive impression. My meal was cold when it arrived.
