Delicious food and amazing staff! The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting to say the least.

This place was literally so delicious y'all The fried pickles were out of this world with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on them. The sauce they use is way better than a typical fried pickle sauce I've had before. A lot of place use ranch, so this was super nice to have something different. I got the red beans and rice cup along with the tap pole catfish nugget meal. Let me just say, the breading on the catfish was seriously so good!! It was not greasy it had just enough flavor but not too much. I'm so glad I had the chance to come here!! The main reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is simply because when we first got there the service was slow. We were told it was a 5 minutes wait, but it was mainly because they didn't have enough servers so they were trying to hold off adding people to tables without enough servers. This place is a pretty good local restaurant. The food isn't my favorite - it can be pretty hit or miss. Service wise, the food either comes out pretty quick or takes forever, no matter if it's super busy or completely barren. The prices are pretty good for the food quality, though. My favorite thing there is the sweet potato fries with powdered sugar and the homemade caramel sauce. Delicious! read more

We were planning on going to Applebee's, until I read the reviews for Applebee's. That's when I suggested we go next door to the Froghead , and we were both glad we did. The restaurant was clean and stylish . Service was fast and friendly. The beer was cold , and the food was hot . I decided on the shrimp quesadillas, and got the chips and queso with them. Now I was thinking their wouldn't be much shrimp on them , but they had them filled up . There was almost a shrimp in every bite . The green tortilla chips were a nice touch , I wasn't expecting. My buddy from work got the red beans and rice. He liked them so much , he said they were a close second , to the Tiger Truck Stop's , ( in Gross Tete , La ) red beans and rice. That's a good compliment, because the Tiger has some of the best red beans and rice on the road. I will definitely stop here again , when I'm back in the area. read more

My wife and I had not been to the Froghead since before the lockdown. We were looking for a place to go while our youngest went to the young adult Christmas party for church. The Froghead Grill certainly lost none of its special flair due to Covid! My bride had a shrimp quesadilla, packed with gooey cheeses (and we're taking half of it home). I chose the chicken Parmesan po'boy for my entree. A good, crusty roll, chicken tenders, marinara, and I asked for it fully dressed (minus pickles). I ate every bit of it. Our server, Cooper, was solicitous and swift in his duties. The kitchen got our food ready faster than I had anticipated, with no detectable decrease in quality. Overall, our experience was top-notch. I'd recommend the Froghead Grill in Clinton, Mississippi, to anyone in or passing through the area. Thanks for a great meal. read more

Been a fav of ours for many years. You simply cannot go wrong with any wrap on the menu, sweet potato fries with the bells and whistles that will make you drool. The staff is always extremely helpful. I see something at this restaurant that i actually never see anywhere else. Any waiter or waitress will come assist you if they see you in need. This is a rare thing and I'm always blown away to see it time and time again. Atmosphere, food and service are always on point. read more

The gumbo is very watery. Looks like they didn't make the rue with flour. They should at least add corn starch to thicken the gumbo. So it won't taste like a soup. The pacific wrap is like a chimichanga. It was ok. Nothing special about it. The fries weren't crispy. It tasted like steak fries. But it's Clinton. Always like eating local when possible, this location is near many hotels. Service was decent, burgers were well cooked and flavorful. Especially enjoyed the hurricane with the fried shrimp on top. My wife found this place and we decided to give it a try. We do not regret it. We thought it was going to be a bigger type of establishment like the big apple place next door but its smaller which in my book is ok. I had the fried pickles to start. Yes folks. Get them! I could put that dipping sauce on everything I consume. My main order was the Philly French Dip and seasoned fries. Dynamite! It was fantastic. My wife had the cheese sticks and the Pacific wrap. She said it was really good. I do not eat crawfish (crawdad) and lettuce but combined with the shrimp and all. when she gave me a bite, I wanted that wrap. I never in my life thought a crawfish would taste good. The bread pudding, it goes without saying, if you leave without it, you lost out! I wish I could give negative stars. About a year ago I was invited to Froghead for drinks with friends. I was very disappointed. The restaurant was dark and dingy and the wait staff was rude, specifically the waitress with tattoos all the way up her arm. She was on her phone and not paying attention. Wanting to give the benefit of the doubt a few months ago I went back with my family. My parents stated their food was over seasoned and the gumbo was watery. My cheese sticks were overcooked and dry. Same rude server. Another server ended up answering questions for us and she was friendly so she was who my parents tipped. I was in the area this week for work and met a friend for a drink. We had a better server, and the rude server from before was somehow the manager but still rude. Everyone has bad days and I was willing to give this place several chances without leaving a bad review but 3 strikes and your out. I will not be back I will not recommend read more

Really cool spot in the South's other Clinton! Stopped here for lunch with a coworker after seeing their reviews on here. Very cool spot and the food is great. I had a Greek salad with crawfish tails and grilled chicken. Sounds weird, I know, but it was fantastic! Great service and a unique atmosphere. While driving across country again we decided to give the Froghead Grill another chance and we were pleased to see that the Froghead had greatly enhanced the use of PPE. They now use face shields and masks! They have a unique menu, great food, and a pleasant staff. We will be back. read more

The quality of the food has gone down. During my most recent visit, I ordered the shrimp(grilled) platter. It should not be called a platter. The shrimp are tiny and overcooked! Nice little stop for our family to get a meal. They had four small fish tanks with frogs in them. Nothing too exciting for my 11 year old, but my 2 year old thought they were great. (We had been driving for 5hours and needed to get out of the van). It was a little weird ordering food at the door before sitting down. The lady at the front acted a little absent minded. We were waiting on a table and she just looked at us. Once we told her this was our first time there three times and asked what do we need to do to eat, things were just fine. The food was good.
