    Spicy shrimp hoagie sandwich
    Larry W.

Was hoping to give a 5 star review but I'm being generous with 3 star review. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The view and service was excellent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Two young waiters busting and serving tables hats off to you both. The food is what lands this review at a 3 star. The Cranky Cuban was recommended by the waiter and it indeed left me Cranky. $16.99 and you could only taste the bread, had zero flavor, little meat. Side salad in a small bowl was $8.99 not worth that all. Wife had the special that was a spicy shrimp hoagie sandwich and that was decent. I will give Gangplank another go and not ask the waiter next time what he recommends.

    The view!!

Great food, good service with a nice view of the lake. The whitefish sandwich was good, the Cuban sandwich was really good. The best is the homemade fries that come with the sandwiches.

Fishbowl Drink. Notice the Swedish fish and the bottom of the glass is lined with Nerds.

Great food, excellent service!! Had few drinks, all very good, but order the Fishbowl, it won't disappoint. I had the Count burger, sooooo good, if you like garlic, give it a shot. My wife had the Cluckin' Chicken Sandwich, chicken and bacon between waffles, I ate the half she couldn't, now we're both miserable full, but well worth it. While on vacation we don't normally eat at the same restaurant twice, but this one may be the exception. Small space, but worth the wait if it's busy, go for a walk.

Wait was 30min quoted and wound up shorter. We walked the pier in the meantime. We ordered 3 appetizers and the fish and walked out very full. The portions for the Animal fries were huge! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space was busy with a "front porch" vibe. It was quaint and pleasant to look out at the harbor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

enjoyed the Whitefish Fingers so much, we ordered a second order! Hubby and I split a Bison burger and the house cut french fries, both were delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]All dining is on the deck, offering everyone a view of the waterfront.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our wait time for table was approx. 45 minutes so we took the opportunity to walk across the street to the park/marina area to enjoy the beautiful lakeshore views. Service was great. Definitely coming back next time we're in da U.P.

Was passing through on my way to pictured rocks & stopped here for lunch! Sandwich was AMAZING!!! (Avocado/onion/dill havarti one) It was a little chilly when we went in May, but worth it for the yummy meal.

The last cheese curd, from our second order! We almost fought over this little nugget of crunchy, gooey goodness!

Today was our third time visiting the Gangplank. Every time we've driven north and south so far! The whitefish fingers are excellent, the whitefish sandwich is also great, and the Hot Lips Houlihan is like no other sandwich we have ever had, anywhere! Delicious. Today we tried the ghost pepper cheese curds, and had to get a second order they were so tasty!! If ever there were a reason to go off your diet, do it at the Gangplank. It's worth it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is small and breezy, the view is nice, and the service has been super every time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The deck dining room is really fun and the service was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We went at lunchtime and it was super busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was really nice that you can get a drink while you wait. I enjoyed my whitefish fingers and fries but they were ok. Because it was so busy, I think they sat for bit so the fish was not crispy. The dipping sauce for the fish was really good. I loved the dill. The fries were really good.

I've seen better service at a restaurant run by the blind. Not sure why they run around not doing anything but for the money you'd think they'd have a clue. The fish sammie was tasty but the side selection was hurting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice view of the harbor[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], but not really worth the money.

Just got to gang plank after an 8 hr drive from Cleveland!

When i first walked up i was greated quickly and with a smile which set a great mood and feeling it was goig. To be a good time which it ended up as....The food was delicious and made right the fries are FRESH cut, and the bison burger was amazing and for the appetizer i went with the cheese curds and house made ranch absolutely delicious! The white Russian cocktail was perfection almost dangerously good! And just the over ambiance of the place was perfect and made you feel truly at ease!

A very nice surprise for us. Everybody in our party enjoyed their dinner and I especially enjoyed the seared Ahi Tuna I took.

I'd read the…read morereviews, looked at the customer photos of the burgers over and over, check out the menu photos... And drool. But for whatever reason, we'd always put it off when visiting our cottage in Moran, Michigan each June. Then today me, my wife, and our dog Jax dropped in. It was EXACTLY how I thought it would be. Old school drive-in vibe, friendly server, and delicious burgers in the comfort of the family SUV. Even the fries and onion rings were perfect. We ordered a plain burger patty for the dog, and our server even brought him a biscuit treat! Who does that? We'll be regulars every time we visit our Yooper friends in our favorite state from now on. There's a Taco Bell next door. Nobody cares lol. Go there now. Unless they're closed. In which case, wait until they're open. Pay attention people!

The drive up location had open spots so we took one and man we were happy. The waitress comes right to your window and takes your order, brings your food and takes your money. Cash only, but I was good with that. The waitress was very friendly, attentive and busy! She and one other were constantly going in and out taking orders, bringing food and working. The food....OMG! Go hungry if you decide to tackle their 1/2 to 3/4 lb burger. I thought I was hungry until that 1/2 lb burger came. So heavy, but soooo good. If you want a good old fashioned burger, this is it! No wonder they have a legacy and long wait time. Ours was 20 minutes this time. We had stopped another time and went in and found out it was over an hour. We passed then because of time constraints but nothing was holding us back this time. If you have passed this iconic place in the past and not stopped, you're missing out. They have other things on the menu besides burgers, so you should be able to accommodate most people in your group. So good!

The wait was about 15-20 minutes - so much better of a wait time! I like the theme and vibe of the place - the play on bikes and name of the restaurant is perfect. Decor is bike themed but not overly done. Rustic and laid back. Our waitress was excellent - very friendly and attentive. All staff were wearing masks. Good drink menu in addition to food. A lot of small plate options but the portion sizes of the small plates could feed at least 2-4 people. I went with sweet potato fries and steak tender bites - delicious! The dipping sauces for the fries had three different options - sweet/savory, loved trying each one. The sweet potato fries were not mushy and had a good crunch. The steak was cooked to perfection - I asked for medium and I got medium! Everyone seemed happy with their food. Restrooms were downstairs. Nice dining option in the city - only con there was no outdoor seating. Picking up on social media - looks like this place used to be Huron St. Pub & Grill not sure if it was a re-branding or new owners. Either way, I hope Broken Spoke is here to stay on the island!
