Make sure to stop by, they're a family run business that's still recovering from the pandemic I ordered a 6" Chicago deep dish specialty pizza (sub olives for basil), 8 wings (spicy bbq and lemon pepper), & a half order of beer battered onion rings. They make everything with SO much love and pride!! Everything is homemade. The onion rings were perfectly crispy without being greasy. The chicken wings put bdubs & wingstop to absolute shame: juicy, meaty, saucy, and flavorful. The spicy bbq definitely has a kick to it and is addictive. Lemon pepper has never been better. If you're not eating your wings to the bone, don't talk to me! The chicago deep dish pizza was amazing. The crust is like Pizza Hut pan on steroids, buttery deliciousness. After work one day, a buddy and I decided to swing by here for a quick lunch. This review is mainly for the food and service since I don't drink alcohol. The place has a laid-back vibe--clean with a standard pub look. They've got tons of beers on the menu, but I came specifically to try their fish and chips. The food came out pretty quickly, about 15 minutes, and everything was fresh and hot. The fish was a single, good-sized piece--crispy and perfectly fried. The chips were thicker and circular, kind of like potato rounds, which were a nice change from the usual fries. They served it with tartar sauce and, of course, malt vinegar (a must!). Honestly, the fish and chips were solid. What really stood out was the service. Toward the end of our meal, the chef came out to check on us, which was a nice touch. Came in to satisfy a pizza craving and was not disappointed! Last time I visited, they were operating as Numero Uno Pizzeria but the owners are in the process of changing the entire face of the business. The pizza was good before and was even better on this visit - with the deep dish being MUCH more authentic and just as good as anything I tried on visits to Chicago. I ordered their 9" custom deep dish to go. Pricing starts at $15 for the plain pie and any additional toppings cost extra. I got spicy sausage, jalapeños, green peppers and onions which drove my total to $26 (before tip) - which is insanely steep for such a small pizza imo. The pizza is 4 slices in size - but it's substantial and hearty - thick, truly authentic deep dish crust full of melty cheese with all the sauce and extras on top. My hubby and I ate one slice each and were totally full. The pizza was still delicious the next day too - It was fantastic and I'd definitely come back for this again. If you're getting it to go, I highly recommend calling in your order bc it takes around 30 minutes to make - they're making them fresh so I had no complaints (apart from the price lol). Service is very friendly and welcoming - the owners are the same as before and everyone seems very enthusiastic about their new makeover! Decor is true Gastropub vibes and everything's very clean. They have vintage lamps, lots of TVs, tons of beer on tap, and even offer beer flights. My only other issue - and this is just a personal preference - is that all their TVs are constantly blaring old 80s/90s rock - it was fine at first bc I do like that genre occasionally but after a while it gets irritating and it's kinda loud. But it would definitely make for a lively nighttime pub vibe so I get it. They're in a small shopping center with plenty of parking in front and more in the back. Easy to find on busy Foothill Blvd. I like the new vibes and will definitely be back for more deep dish pizza when the craving hits! read more

This place is a Pasadena staple! I've been going since I was a kid. It's such a nice, mom-and-pop style pizza joint. They really have something for the entire family to enjoy. The deep dish pizza is unlike any other. The cheese and the crust is just unmatched and I can't get enough of it. It's a family-owned business and the service definitely reflects that. So this place was originally Numero Uno pizza. My parents and i have been coming here since i was a child... 20+ years. We were excited to go back as we were on our way to LA (we are out of towners)... we were disappointed that it was something different but know it's owned by the same family so we tried it out. Sadly it's not the pizza i wanted as Numero Uno was soooo much better!! However - it's not fair to base this review on that since they are trying to reinvent themselves. The place was good. Pizza was good but just a bit pricey! It was truly a Chicago style pizza! Crust was okay - felt a little too buttery and flakey at times but overall a yummy pizza. A cherry on top is that a beer comes with each order of pizza so that was a nice surprise! Pizza and beer? You can't go wrong with that! They play sports games and rock music videos while you drink great craft beer and enjoy some small trivia on the TV's. Anyone that knows anything about beer will be ecstatic to know they have beer from Goliath Brewing! And tons more top notch options, I've yet to run out of trying them all. Just make sure you ORDER THE PRETZEL as it pairs PERFECTLY with almost any beer (pretzel is from Goliath brewing). At first it was difficult seeing the numero uno deep dish go away but the Chicago deep dish and tavern are amazing! The key is to ask for diced tomatoes to take it to 100. I love the Gastropub. It's a cool hang-out spot with good food, a huge selection of beer with soft lighting, music videos and sports on the TV's. I like the tavern pizza, it's a large thin-crust pizza that's so good you can't stop eating it. My personal favorite is the Mexican flatbread, it's freaking delicious. I get it with no chili powder though but if you like spicy then don't omit it. The Chicago deep dish is delicious, I order it just cheese and I ask for diced tomatoes on top of it. But before you order any of this, you MUST try the pretzel with beer cheese. It's a crime to go there and not order it with your beer. My husband says it pairs perfectly with his beer, but I just like to dip it in ranch dressing and its delicious just like that. I have also ordered the pub fries; they are like mojo's from Shakey's but plumper. You can ask them to make it extra crispy if that's your thing. And their regular fries are good too. There's more than just pizza there, they have burgers, pastas, and sandwiches. My cousin was happy with his meatball sandwich. Gastropub is my favorite place to relax with good food. They play all my favorite music, from Iron Maiden to Evanescence to the Rolling Stones. They also have Laker games there, which is why I go so often, and it's a family-run business which I love. If I had to suggest an improvement, I would say a larger screen to play sports specifically, and a cushion on the chairs. In the meantime, it's a great start for a new place and I can't wait for the new sign and to watch this place grow. read more

It may be a little hard to find, but this place is well worth the hunt. It's at the end of a strip mall; used to be a "Numero Uno." I heard from friends the pizza was delicious. I had the Pub Burger. Easily one of the juiciest, tastiest burgers I ever had. And it filled me up. No scrimping on the meat, which was high quality. My boyfriend had two (green chili) tamales that he said were "tasty." He said it would have been better with cheese sauce on top. They have a good assortment of draft beers. I had Modelo Especial. The place doesn't feel like a gastropub. However the music videos suited my taste. We're talking Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and Jakob Dylan and The Wallflowers doing 1996 hit "The Difference." Motto of the place is "Come Rock With Us."Fulfilled. Ask them about their happy hour; I think they offer BOGO beers. Service was very good. I'd recommend trying it out. We miss Numero Uno so much! We were craving pizza, so we decided to give the Gastropub a try. Tried the deep dish pizza - way too much cheese, weird flavor sauce and the dough wasn't fully cooked! It also took well over an hour to get our food. Had to send it back. Only was given a small discount off our bill. The worst part is the loud music playing hair bands, Korn and Creed so loud you couldn't talk with your table. We were the only family in the restaurant and asked if they could turn down the volume, but we were denied. We won't be returning. We'll head to Settebello, Blaze or Pitfire next time! read more

Same owner but new name & food. This place used to be Numero Uno Pizza. Now it's called Gastropub and they still service Pizza & Pasta. The owners are Super nice & friendly. Parking is good, they share with a few other business. They have a new and improved look with a price that follows it. It's a bit high for the size (12") pizza. I most likely won't be back. OUTSTANDING BURGERS - I have been looking for a place that offers good burger in the San Gabriel area... I finally found it after 2-3 years of searching. Hands down the best burger in the vicinity. They use freshly ground beef (not frozen patties), so I ask for thicker burger and medium-rare cooking... got exactly that. Each patty was almost an inch thick. Good quality fresh ingredients, good buns. Service was good and friendly. We ordered from this place for the first time a few months ago and at first we were hesitant with the small size of each pizza but the depth/richness of each pizza makes up for it. WOW!
