    Caesar Salad
    Jennifer W.

Had time to kill between doctor appointments so I decided to check out Pie Life. First I have to say I was disappointed that it was listed as handicapped accessible with no warning that the accessibility is in the back of the building - still not sure what that looks like because I can't find it on maps. I can tell you though, that would be a long trek for disabled people to get to a street that would access the alley behind them. Thankfully I could sort of hobble up the stairs but many people cannot. Service was fast and friendly. I got the lunch special of a slice of white pizza and a drink for $15. Neither were remarkable. The pizza had no other flavor than cheese - I couldn't taste garlic or basil. The salad was fine, but so is a bagged Caesar salad from the grocery store. I was excited to try this place but I don't think I'll be back.

We put every pizza restaurant that is new to us to the same test: a plain cheese pizza. Pie Life passed the test! The sauce was delicious and there was just enough of it. The cheese-to-sauce ratio was on the mark. The middle crust was very thin, very uniform, just chewy enough to not be flatbread-crispy, and the edge crust was thicker and even more chewy. The vibe at the Pasadena store was very cool, the pick up was ready early, and the staff at the window was bright and engaging. We have a new go-to pizza place!

I got the white pizza slice and salad, plus a drink all for $15. You can opt out of a drink if you want. Great pizza at a great price, and my order was super quick!!

Cute little place tucked away in Pasadena, that's easy to miss if you're not looking. It's located in a little lot with a few other businesses around it and a designated takeout window for Pie Life Pizza (they don't deliver). There's a few chairs and tables outside if you want to eat a slice at the location. We opted to take our pizza home. It had a very satisfying and authentic crust. Definitely can tell food is made with love and care here. Would recommend to anyone looking for some NY style pizza!

Came here during the lunch with a couple of my co workers. The place is quite tucked and hidden. It has their own parking but you also find street parking as well. I ordered the 2 Slice Combo which comes with either a can or bottled drink of your choice. - A Slice of Meaty - A Slice of Warehouse - I also purchased an additional chocolate chip cookie It's a good price for the combo meal! The staff were nice and service was fast. The pizza was delicious! It was rich in flavor but surprisingly light, with a nice crisp crust and just enough cheese to make it satisfying without being overly greasy. Definitely worth the buck!

18" Warehouse Pizza (I added the red onion because I'm a crazy onion lady.) The pizza was perfection as is!

Thank you! It's an amazingly perfect, delicious, well crafted, and expertly created pizza! From the fresh ingredients to the sophisticated ingredients that are thoughtfully sprinkled, (the size of the pepperonis....so clever!!!), the delicious sauce, and the airy crust!!! We ate it all! We are now addicted to Pie Life Pizza!

Lunch Special, one slice of White pizza, garden salad and can drink $14.50.

My wife had her 6 month eye exam in Pasadena. I took this opportunity to have one of my favorite New York style pizza in Southern California. I got their lunch special which is one slice of their White pizza, garden salad and sparkling water for $14.50. I added $1.00 tip. This is a no frills tiny pizza place with only a walk up window to place your order. It's on the second floor overlooking Raymond Avenue. There are metal stools and a bar like table that runs across the entire second floor. Just find a spot, seat down and eat. My White pizza was ready in 5 minutes. Just the way I like it, thin and crunchy. The garden salad was fresh and tasted great. Very satisfying lunch. DJ's rating: 4.85/5.00 Would I come back? Definitely Yes.

Ate here twice now. First time stopped by and ate there. Wife and I got a slice each. I got the PB&J, she got pepperoni. We both thought it was very good. But I thought the crust was a little overly crisp for a NY slice. I figured this was because they reheat the individual slices. Still super tasty and good, but not the crust I expected. I wanted to try them again, so a couple days later we ordered a whole pie, pepperoni & jalapeño. This time it was what I was expecting! Crust was great. Nice browning on the bottom, but not crunchy & foldable. Tasty sauce & cheese (although I might get extra cheese next time). Good amount of toppings as well! This is what I expected. Will for sure get them again!

It was wonderful to see an old friends and get caught up over with a pie from my favorite local spot. We went during the lunch hour and the smiles were limitless. Next time you are in that neck of the woods...

This place has been on my radar for a short time. Today was the day as is every Friday which is pizza day for the family. I stopped by this afternoon at 4:00pm and ordered 1 New York style (cheese) and 1 pepperoni and mushroom for which they also add garlic cloves. These were take out orders and I have a pizza oven at home to heat up slices in under a minute. 1. The New York cheese pizza was absolutely flavorless. I was so hoping for an amazing pizza to no avail. Absolutely zero flavor and I asked my wife how she likes it and she said it doesn't have any taste to it. Pizza Wagon in the valley currently has the best New York Slice in town. Beats everyone even Mulberry street and DaMores, which are also in the valley. 2. Pepperoni, mushroom and garlic pizza also without flavor except for the garlic which was overpowering, so much so that I removed all the cloves from the entire pizza. This pizza had a nice look to it but it does not deliver. If you want pepperoni then it's gotta be Prince Street as their pepperoni is amazing. I can normally eat about 4 slices but tonight I barely ate two as the pizza didn't not lend itself to any pizza desire I had. Will I be returning, I don't think I will. If the owner chimes in I'll bring you a real New York style pizza with real New York Taste

    Pepperoni Slice

Some excellent NY style pizza! I ordered the margarita and pepperoni slice. The NY slices were super thin and crispy with a satisfying crunch on the crust. The pizza was floppy when folded but still oozing with oil and melted cheese. When you eat it fresh, it is piping hot, so make sure you give it a minute to rest. I also ordered the Sicilian slice--again, the cheese was super stringy and melts in your mouth. The crust was airy and was collapsing with the weight of the toppings, though it still had a nice crunch with every bite. The cupped pepperonis were delicious and zesty. Overall, very high quality ingredients and amazing pizza. The chocolate chip cookie was also yummy, though nothing to write home about. Staff were kind and friendly, and service was quick. I love the location as well--there's ample street parking and a dedicated lot in the strip mall. The seating is outdoors with a long bar stool and counter. There's a really nice of the streets view and it's shaded as you indulge in cheesy goodness. This is a solid slice you'd find on a corner in NYC, meaning this is S-tier for LA standards. Definitely worth a drive out to Pasadena for some great pizza!

Hey Vinnie, get me a slice of pie! Pie Life's Pizza is a great place to get a classic New York style pizza. Thin, crunchy and delicious. The cauliflower crust is nice and crunchy, super cheesy and tastes great. Service quick and attentive, you'll get your pie pretty quick even when it's pretty busy. Ambiance is lively as it's pretty much a walk up window and outdoor seating. This is a solid NY style pizza place for sure!

Random, but excellent wall mural by the seating area. Is Pie Life the GOAT?

Only thing that didn't sit well was that it was known that it was my dad's birthday and we weren't offered any celebratory complementary desserts of any sort, not that that should be expected, but we did over order for our party so gave decent business I would say. The menu prices suggest that it's quite a nice upscale restaurant which it is, but the interior was nothing special, quite casual. I think I would want a little more pizzazz if I were going here for a romantic date - Calabrian salami pizza: amazing flavor profile, the salami gave a good saltines to it while the hot honey gave a tin of sweet. I'm not the biggest fan of when my savory food is too sweet, but I thought this one was really well done - squid ink pasta: really tiny portion, which was the only bummer but it was so delicious. I would probably still get it again not too fishy. If you don't love the Strong seafood flavors that this dish sometimes comes with. - whipped feta and bread: a classic go to appetizer at Italian restaurants, pretty good, but I wouldn't say any better than other restaurants that serve this - calamari: honestly would skip this. They only was nothing special and the calamari itself had standard batter. Nothing crazy. Whipped feta and bread

The server suggested different dishes: raviolis, cacio e pepe, a dish with the name jerry in the title (I don't quite remember the full name!) and so on. I ordered the cacio e pepe and added mushrooms and chicken to my order. As an appetizer, I ordered a half cesar salad which was pretty decent. I was not a fan of the hard crouton though! The cacio e pepe was pretty dry and the chicken was even drier. Adding mushrooms was a nice touch but sadly the dish could not be saved by how dried it was. The cake was good and full of coconut flavored goodnessss. The tiramisu I ordered (before I knew of the coconut cake!) was also a very nice sweet treat. I got the diavola pizza. Neapolitan style is my favorite, and when it came out it was amazing. The tomato sauce had the perfect level of acidity, and the dough complemented it really well. They have a small lot plus some free and paid street parking nearby. Service was great. Definitely would come again.

Then saw a unique appetizer salad item on menu "Involtini" $16. It was a great appetizer consisting of arugula, and goat cheese wrapped in prosciutto, with an impressive large thin sliced piece of Parmesan on top drizzled with a balsamic reduction. Very unique and good, I look forward to replicating at home with a little more balsamic. I ordered the Settebello $21 pizza as a main entree of which I thought was advertised with pancetta, mushrooms and Italian sausage. Pizza came out hot and fresh, but with prosciutto instead of the perceived menu listed pancetta. Pizza sauce was good, the sausage and mushrooms were great. Crust was a little doughy, not crispy but charcoal charred in places. Not phenomenal but not bad, middle of the road overall. Service started off great but fell flat to the floor. Drinks and food came out on time indicating bar staff and kitchen staff were on point. Waiting staff could up their game. No check up or check in. No offers for drink refills or another round. I had to ask for refills on water. Final bill $56.35 for one drink, appetizer and pizza for a solo dinner. Three (3) stars at best! Room for improvements.

A beautiful restaurant with lively vibe!…read more Great wine selection for wine lovers, and a simple cocktail menu for the liquor fan. They gave me a mega pint for my gin tonic, which I am far from complaining. The staff is super kind, super attentive to make sure our beverages and table was clear. We ordered: Anticuchos - Heart Skewers with a side of roasted potatoes, peruvian corn and rocoto sauce. I am an organ meat fan so this hit the spot. Add a dash of the rocoto sauce as it brings the flavor to a new level Bistec Con Tllarin Verde: The rib eye steak was perfectly cooked medium rare, seasoned simply. They do provide sauces on the side to enjoy of course. It comes with a savory Creamy pesto Linguine to pair with the protein. To share with a group of 5, additionally a dish called Chancho Al Palo : Rotisserie Style Pork, with their crispy skin, sweet plantains and white rice. Comes with a lovely Salsa Criolla. Another well perfected pork, keeping its savory juice within. The Salsa Criolla tops it up to the finest pairing

The customer service was warm and welcoming, the restaurant was clean and well maintained, and the ambiance created the perfect dining experience. What made this visit especially memorable was how authentic the food tasted. I recently spent two amazing weeks in Peru, and this meal instantly took me back. I was able to enjoy two of my favorite Peruvian dishes, and they were absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and a wonderful atmosphere. It was truly an amazing experience, and I look forward to coming back. The only thing that could have made it even better would have been if they offered traditional picarones for dessert!
