From what I remember from my middle school days, City Diner is the best place to get a burger in North County. As a big burger fan, I truly love the burgers here. The ambiance can feel a bit crowded and loud, but it's definitely a great spot to grab lunch with a friend. I wouldn't recommend it for large groups, as it's more suited for smaller gatherings. He eventually ordered the western skillet and I ordered the strawberry pancakes which I could not wait to eat! While we waited for our food, the server(s) on the floor were checking in with us and chatting with us ehile they refilled our coffee. Once the food arrived, I was so ready to dig in! My pancakes were topped with strawbery glaze and so many strawberries, I knew I would not be able to finish, but that didn't stop me from trying. I did eventually need to ask for a box and broght them home for later. My hubby said that the skillet was really good and had all his favorite food items included.
