Our cars have been broken into daily for the last 7 months (Ever since this new manager Jeanine came here) and NOTHING has been done about it. No new security, No new patrols, not even taken the time to SPEAK to the residents and let us know what's happening and what they're gonna do to help keep the property safe. THE ONLY TIME was when the DEA came and RAIDED our complex did they hold a group meeting. Yea... the DEA... raided... our complex.... This place has REALLY gone downhill. If you speak to ANY residents here they will say they love it BUT... things have taken a sudden and quick turn for the worse. Our packages from Amazon are CONSTANTLY being stolen by both a few residents as well as OUTSIDERS. Once again management has done NOTHING to help resolve this issue other than say "We're sorry we'll figure out what to do next". 7 months later... NOTHING has changed. When I spoke to Garrett Vincent of Lyon Living a Leasing Consultant about these issues he essentially looked at me with a blank stare, shrugged his shoulders, and said what is he supposed to do. NOT the words you want to hear from a staff member totally disregarding your home's safety. When I walked out I hear him take a big sigh, and speak to another staff member and say "yea I know... she's back aaaaaagain" and laughed towards the bathroom. Utterly disrespectful. For the price you pay the amenities are amazing BUT... if it's at the sacrifice of sanitation, safety, property theft, DEA raids, Homeless People walking around, and or just dog urine and poop all over the property... I'd probably say this is better to avoid. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. read more

I can't say enough great things about living at The George. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, welcoming, and well-managed community! The amenities are fantastic, the events are always creative and enjoyable, and the people here truly make it feel like home. There's a real sense of community that you don't find everywhere, and it's clear a lot of thought goes into making this such a great place to live. Huge shoutout to Jiovanna, the assistant manager, for being such an incredible part of this community. She's easily one of the coolest people here and always goes above and beyond to bring everyone together. The Cinco de Mayo party she hosted was hands down one of the best events -- so well organized, fun, and thoughtful. You can really feel how much she cares about the residents. Also want to recognize Brian, the new property manager, who's been here for about 3 months now. In that short time, I've already seen such a positive change, from upgrades to the pool deck decor to the awesome resident events he's been putting together. The drive-through "breakfast on the go" with Chick-fil-A was such a great touch and super appreciated! And of course, Gracie and Kallen deserve a shoutout too! They are always so friendly and welcoming every time you walk into the office. They really set the tone and make every interaction a positive one. Overall, this place just gets it right -- great staff, great vibes, and a community that feels like family. Definitely recommend! read more

After living here for a year, I am hearing about some downsides of living at The George. My daughter lived on the first floor along the Angel's parking lot side of the building. The downside is that there is a walkway where people walk their dogs and a few too many "lookyloos". I did notice dog droppings around the perimeter of the building and in the planters. Also there was a lot of dust!! Not sure where it came from. Maybe wind coming off the parking lot or fwy or more likely through the internal vents since she didn't open the balcony door much. There was also dog urine and urine smell in the hallways on numerous occasions. The upstairs neighbors partied and stomped into the middle of the night. The security was difficult to get ahold of "if" they responded at all and the office wasn't quick to respond to emails and messages. A bit disappointing when they told me that security or someone in charge was on the property at all times and disturbances were not tolerated and would be handled. Not the case. Security was useless and unable to do anything about the disturbances either. I think she was also uncomfortable with whatbwas going on at the rooftop. In any case she chose to live at another building nearby for the next year of school. It is comparable in amenities and new construction. The George appears to be a nice property but choose a higher floor level apartment and don't expect much help if you have a complaint or need security. read more

We recently had the pleasure of working with Jessica, the leasing manager throughout the process from the tour to signing the application She sold us with the rooftop amenities. I have to say, the entire experience was fantastic. Jessica was incredibly knowledgeable about the property and all that it had to offer. She walked me through the various floor plans and helped us find an apartment that fit meet our lifestyle and budget. Once I moved in, I was blown away by the quality and beauty of the apartment itself. The designer finishes and attention to detail were evident in every room. But the real highlight of the property was the impressive rooftop amenities. From the pool to the outdoor grilling area, everything was top-notch. The views from the rooftop were breathtaking and overlooks the angel stadium! Throughout the entire process, Jessica was a true professional. She was always available to answer my questions and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and comfortable in my new home. She truly made the leasing process a breeze. Overall, I can't recommend working with Jessica and this complex enough. If you're looking for an incredible living experience in an amazing location, then look no further. The George had everything I was looking for in a property and the leasing agents were great! I had the opportunity to tour the property w/ Laura K (Asst. Mgr) who was phenomenal. Unlike many other leasing agents, Laura seemed genuinely concerned in addressing the requirements I had as a potential tenant and was proactive in answering every question + concern I had about the complex + location. She was honest, to the point, and I didn't feel like she overselling the place or pressuring me to sign which I appreciated. All in all, every step of the process was seamless w/her! The place has a great environment, amenities (in unit W/D - nonnegotiable for me), ridiculous gym, rooftop pool, and beer taps all at a reasonable price and near many places of interest like the Angels stadium, Disneyland, Knotts etc. At first I was skeptical and originally looking for places near Newport Beach however I decided to go with the George as it's one of the newest complexes in OC, reasonably priced, and conveniently located near the freeways (5, 57 and 22 + only 20 min drive to Newport), it's definitely worth checking out IMO. read more

Thank you Paul! Over this last weekend our AC went out due to it being so hot. I could not bear the heat after one night with it out and on a Sunday after hours I called for the AC unit to be fixed. While I was on the phone I also requested some maintenance to be done to my guest bathroom as the shower was clogged. I never heard anything back about the AC but almost immediately I received a call from Paul in maintenance about my shower. Within the hour Paul showed up with the greatest attitude and fixed the shower right away. I explained to him that our AC unit was out and he said no problem and went to work fixing it. Immediately he went to his truck and got us a portable AC unit while he worked. In a timely fashion Paul found the issue and fixed it. Our AC is now working perfect in fact even better than before and we have Paul to thank for everything. Paul is an outstanding guy and deserves a raise for the extra effort he put in when he did not have to. I am glad we had Paul in our corner as not having AC was a literal hell! This place has really gone downhill this last year. I'm not sure if it's the new staff change, or that our old manager has left and a new manager has come in but... things are just not safe, not cared for, the residents are not listened to, and not cared about in the ways we NEED. Break-ins DAILY have become a common theme. Homeless people roaming about all hours of the night are a reoccurance. Cigarette butts, trash, needles, and random garbage on the outsides of the property are a daily practice. Social Distancing and safety practices are NOT being exercised at all, and when brought up to management they seem to care less and say "what do you want us to do?". We actually broke our lease early, forfeited our deposit because we wanted to GET OUT that badly. The 5 star rating I previously posted has been deleted because they bribe residents with painting their walls for free, if they give a 5 star rating. Living at the George has been a blessing in my life. I moved to the George over a year ago following bad experiences with on campus housing. As a college student, I can confidently say that the George has been the smoothest transition into adulthood. The facilities at this complex are exquisite and luxurious, the staff is always so kind and helpful, and the resident community is beyond surreal. How many people can say they've met life long friends in their apartment building? I haven't met anyone other than the people in the building that can confirm this notion. I am so lucky to live at the George and wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I was planning on moving back to Los Angeles after graduation, however I'm not sure I'm ready to leave this place quite yet. If you have the opportunity to live here, seize it, because there is truly nothing like it. read more

While researching housing for our Chapman student we came across The George and were very impressed with the property. It's very clean and felt safe. I like the enclosed/gated garage with close parking and access to her floor. Guest parking was readily available. The amenities are amazing. The gym facility offers state of the art equiptment and classes. Laura was the leasing agent who gave us our tour and has been available and helpful answering our questions and with the online process. Initially it was a bit pricey but units came available beginning July at a competitive rate to school housing options. They do offer a 10 month lease option without a penalty or premium rate where most places are 12 months. I like that it is a direct 6 min. drive down Orangewood to the school. Let me begin by stating that I happened upon The George after a lovely day at Monster Jam. Not a moment of refinement, but it's what my God Son wanted. As we walked through the parking lot we couldn't miss the enormous TV on the rooftop. We made our way across the street to Golden Road Brewery...I immediately began obsessing over The George and booked a tour. At the time, I wasn't even interested in moving, so I called and inundated Claire, Laura and Nicole with numerous inquiries. I previewed the property two times. (once again with Claire.) After six months, I FINALLY made the move. I L O V E this place. I love the amenities, I love the floor plan, I love the active culture. This place is awesome! My girlfriend and I visited 6 other apartment complexes in the area before ending up at The George. It was almost laughable how much better The George is compared to the alternatives. The apartments are beautiful, modern, new, and about as spacious as you could reasonably expect. The amenities are phenomenal. The rooftop pool area is Vegas-esque, but also private and quiet enough to actually enjoy. Our leasing agent, Nicole, was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and overall awesome. They are having great deals right now. Strike while the iron is hot. The George reminds me of the lyrics in the Talking Heads song, 'Don't Worry About The Government': "My building has every convenience It's gonna make life easy for me It's gonna be easy to get things done I will relax alone with my loved ones" read more

From 1st phone contact through move in and now as I have installers going in and out Claire has overseen it all for me in an outstanding, efficient manner. Her professionalism, people skills and willingness to go tgecextra mile to take care of every detail for her clients is top notch. I am completely impressed by the atmosphere the quality of tenants and all The George has to offer. I would highly recommend this property for upscale living and if you are interested too, then call Claire, you wont regret it. The George is an amazing place to live! Where to begin? The roof top pool was one of our selling points. You literally feel like you are on vacation in a resort. The large screen television on the rooftop is the perfect setting to watch all sports games and have gatherings. Beer on tap? No problem, it's all on the rooftop. The apartments themselves are outstanding. Super clean, furnished with stainless steel appliances. The George totally takes care of their residences from wonderful promotion opportunities to frequent events being conducted from trivia night to paint night. The George is such an interactive community. We are incredibly, happy with our living situation and selection. I highly recommend there George as a place to make your next home. read more

If I could leave a zero star review I would ,beautiful complex, but like being in prison, I went to visit my brother yesterday to watch the game at their roof top pool we were approach by several Armed security guards asking for wrist bands that we provided after several other of our guest came we were approached again checking for bands, now I this point I grew furious out of the 30 occupants that sat poolside we were the only ones that were contiguously approached. This time we refused to act like a prisoner at our own residence and the elder security guard thought he could throw his 10.00 hour badge around to try to intimidate us, if your a minority and you choose to live or visit here think again I have never been more humiliated in my life. read more

I moved across country and had the pleasure of working with Lydia at The George apartments. She has been amazing and made my move and life seem seamless! I am living bi-coastal for work and with all of her help to a new state, she made my life soo much easier. She is extremely thorough, attentive, does what she says she is going to do! The staff at The George are amazing, especially Miss Bree. She helped us throughout the entire process. She was informative, accommodating, and very personable. As a first time apartment renter, it was important for my partner and I to be as informed as possible and to really seek out all our options. Bree was all very responsive and timely with all our emails (and trust me, I sent a lot!). She presented us with all the options available until we found the perfect unit for us. In addition, The George is very modern and has a user-friendly portal that gives you access to report any maintenance issues or the simple ability to check-out what events are happening in the building. The location is near some of the most major attractions in California...Disneyland, Angel Stadium, and Newport Beach. The George makes it's name on its community and amenities. With living here I have learned I will be here a few years. The comfortable feeling is more than just the amenities and carries on to the friendly and approachable feeling of the staff and office management. They care about the resident and don't make you feel like a dollar amount, the needs of the resident is met and I have loved to be home at this place.
