This was the first time I had German food. It tasted very delicious and was a good amount of food to keep your belly full. The people were very friendly and even offered us food samples. The place was also very chill with a lovely view. I would definitely return!

Try their CURRYWURST! It's the best, as well as their cold cut sandwiches and brats Ps. They're also in Long Beach @ Bixby park

It was delicious. We used them for a corporate event and gave a reasonable price. Everyone loved it and enjoyed!

Serious German food. Try the liverwurst sandwich, and the smoked cheddar sausage. I wish they moved that truck around more often.

Ridiculously good sausages. You can sample any sausage flavor. Best sourkrout I've ever had.

We've actually been to another restaurant under the same company as Rasselbock, so we were delighted to be able to stop by since it's close by! We parked in the very back of the restaurant in the little plaza, and were seated with ease. They have indoor seating and outdoor seating, especially for furry friends. We originally sat inside, but our friend brought his dog, so we moved outside. We had ordered several drinks and had sat at the restaurant for over 6 hours. We ordered a range of BRLO IPA, Hacker, their seasonal beer, and more. As for food, we ordered their jagerscnitzel, Brussels sprouts, truffle fries, spatzle, and beignets! Our friend ordered their bratwurst with sauerkraut. We were very impressed with how delicious and fresh everything was. It was extremely savory and crispy. Quite addicting alongside our beers. Our servers were very delightful and very accommodating to our needs. They provided support and checked in on us frequently. We never were rushed to leave and were able to enjoy our conversations. I'm an advocate for good food, good service, and great brews! Please expect us to be back!

I am not much for drinking beer so I ordered the apple cider with mineral water that has the really long name I didn't even try to pronounce. Our server was a guy who seated us for our reservation at the patio table we reserved outside. He set up a heat lamp but we had to ask him to turn it on. Had to ask him to wipe down the side of the table that had water on it from the rain. Had to pull out the bench to get in. I don't know, just stuff I'd expect the server to handle or ask or be more attentive to instead of waiting for me to address it. Food was okay but not a place I'd really come back to

As I was buying my sausages. soft pretzels, and potato salad, the lady said very little to me and the gentleman, nothing at all. When I tried speaking German, the lady said she didn't remember much of the language anymore. This blunt, "tell it like it is" way of interacting is pretty much how my family used to be, so I found it familiar -- even comforting. But it's easy to see how this can rub people the wrong way, especially if they're used to American (or even modern German) - style customer service. Everyone who found this rude is making reasonable statements. But to me this is more a case of people who have been doing the same thing for a long time without making updates. Decor-wise, place also seems to recreating the Germany that someone remembers from decades ago. The blue and white bunting, the beer steins, the picture of the Pope and other memorabilia make the place feel distinctly Bavarian, in a touristy way. A lot of places in Germany, even in the more traditional south have moved on. But my hope is that this place does continue until the proprietors retire with dignity or sell the business to some German-Americans with a passion for prepping and selling this type of food.

We were daunted by the 1.5 hr drive to where we were staying and hoped that eating closer would save some time later. It did! Rasselbock is a bit hidden away but we found it with street metered parking nearby. We had arranged for a reservation but we hardly needed it. The place was mostly empty when we arrived. Music was thumping, and not German music. It was classic rock but a touch too loud. So keep that in mind. I appreciated that they had Erdinger beer. That's some of the best beer around. I chose the non alcoholic since I had a drive ahead. I was told it might not be cold enough and the server brought me the bottle to sample it by touch. I cheerfully noted Germans don't drink very cold beer and it was fine. My wife and I ordered schnitzels, she chicken and I pork. She had the Oma's potato salad - which with mustard and mayo really would not have passed muster with a real Oma like mine. She reported it was good anyway. I had spaetzle and cucumber dill salad. The kids both had a bratwurst, salad and fries. On the whole the schnitzels were good. Not entirely authentic but USA-good enough. I'd say the same for my spaetzle and salad. One kid liked the bratwurst, one didn't. I found what I tried of the sausage to be pretty good. The stone ground mustard was particularly good. Service was a little slow to start but the food came quickly and we were off. A 4.2 rounds to a flat 4. German food is hard to come by anywhere, so I welcome it. Especially with a good selection of beer. They serve multiple sizes included a liter "mass." Sounds great but I think those days are behind me. Definitely worth a try.

The Jager Schnitzel was wonderful. Crispy, juicy chicken, with that deep, rich, creamy, mushroom sauce! The Red Cabbage gives a great sour/vinegar to cut through the richness/fat. The spatzel was good. The potato pancakes were small, but deliciously crunchy, soft, salty. Loved the applesauce, sour cream and lemon, brightens it up. I also tried my daughter's French fries, great double fried! The flan special was good. Very Sweet. *Overall, you want German, come here*

There's some seating inside and it's both a small market of imported German and other European goods and foods, as well as a deli where they can fix you a sandwich real quick. We got ourselves a sausage sandwich and a cold cut sandwich and my boyfriend got some cuts to go as well. My boyfriend also got an imported beer and an extra pickle spear. For our side, we got some potato salad. I love potato salad and this was the perfect side. Sandwiches have the perfect toasted level, and isn't dry. Fillings were plentiful and it was enough to make both of us full. Great with a spared of mustard and mayo and sauerkraut in the sandwich. We also got some additional yummy milk chocolates too. Solid German deli!
