So I saw this place as I was driving by. It was noticeable bc of the crowd on the sidewalk. I figured it must be good. So I decided to stop by and bring some for my coworkers and family at home. Out of the 8 donuts I ordered, I'd like to mention the strawberry cream cheese filled donut and the passion fruit custard donut. The passion fruit, I was amazed by. It was too tangy or too sweet. The cream was thick and flavorful. I knew what I was biting into. The strawberry cream was light so you'll want more. But LET. ME. TELL. YOU. Their dough is delish and has more of a bite vs those airy Krispy Kreme donuts. My dad is a chef and has a very particular palette. He usually claims a meal or snack as "OK" but not this time. He said "Nana, where did you get this donut? It's so good. You really WOW-ed me" Take note, I did bring these from SoCal to NorCal and it was a day old. But the donut was still fluffy inside and a crunch on the outside. I did put them in the fridge then took them out an hour before sharing, maybe that helped. Their donuts are huge. We don't get to do donuts often but when we do. We do it right. For our family of THREE...it's not uncommon to walk out of there with 6 donuts to nibble on for a day or two. We have not been disappointed with anything but my favorites are the classics; maple, chocolate or their glaze. My daughter recently asked for a gluten free donut, only because it had a pink glaze and sprinkles on top and she loved it. Didn't notice a difference. I didn't think this post was going to be necessary until I saw the other reviews about how other poc and minority customers are treated, which validated my recent exprierence. I came in for a coffee. The lady taking my order was curt. I tapped my card and she didn't tell me I'm good, etc. she just turned away so I just walked away and sat to wait for my order. It took an unusually long time to the point my party asked me what was going on. I went to the counter and the ladies looked dumbfounded when I asked for the status of my coffee. One of the blonde ladies looked at me and asked if I "paid" to which I replied "yes". Why in the world would I try to comp myself a measly $3-4 coffee? She just says "sweet" and they give me the coffee. It's very concerning to see that the experiences have been poor for other minority customers. Absolutely not coming here again and will be warning others not to. There's a serious problem that needs to be addressed by the manager and I'll make others are warned. I remember coming here few months ago and received similar cold attitudes, did not realize there was a clear problem here. Btw I checked my bank account to make sure I paid, which was true.
