Upon entering nobody to greet us. Waited approx 10 minutes & employee greeted us and seated us. Place was almost empty for Saturday afternoon but shortly afterwards was busy. Place is clean & small. Good customer service. You receive chips & salsa. Also received bean dip made from lard. I asked because I dont eat pork. I ordered vegetarian tostada & extremely bland. Tostada is rice, whole beans & mounds of lettuce. My husband ordered a chicken burrito. He said chicken was extremely bland so he took it home to add flavor however today we went to eat it & trashed the food. Tasted worse 2nd day & my husband had a whole chicken bone. We've been going here for years. I thought I had reviewed it already. And if I had it would have been way better. Granada used to be amazing. The margaritas are ass-kickity. One is plenty. This recent visit my strawberry margarita wasn't its usual amazingness. We both got wet bean burritos which are always good. I also got a garden salad. And of course prices have gone up everywhere. But we used to get out for about $30. Now it was $52! It might be awhile before we return. read more

Oh Granada! The bean dip with the chips and salsa! Please and thank you every time. But let's talk about the drinks? Don't know if all know how to make a margarita all that good. Wife has also ordered a Skinny margarita and what came out was not that. Sure you used tequila but what ever else y'all poured in there then charged $18 bucks for? lol Not going back after that! 18 dollars lol can't even get over that. Foods alright. My brother recommended this place after enjoying it the day before. So we came in for dinner the next day. I have driven by this place many times, but never tried it. Now it's on my list of favorite Mexican restaurants in the valley (the others are Salsa & Beer & Don Cucos). When you're seated they bring you bean dip & salsa; both are delicious. I ordered a three item combo with a taco, tamale, & enchilada. Before the main course arrived you have the choice of soup or salad. I chose a salad with blue cheese dressing. When the food arrived it was hot, fresh, the meat was juicy, & flavorful. I was very impressed. I only ate half of my food and took the rest home. The waiter was friendly and told us about the "buy one get on free special" on Mondays & Tuesdays. We came in on a Wednesday and the items were half off. What a surprise! The prices have gone sky high just like everything else but if I'm going to pay $57 for two number 5s and they're wrong and we have to go drive back up there to get what is supposed to be the right order and is actually shit it's not worth the gas to drive up there twice.How hard is it to make a taco with meat and cheese only? I have been coming to Granada's off and on for 30 years since there are tons of Mexican places to pick from in Burbank but this has been my go to for the last 2 years. I have never wrote a review but figured I would today since I eat there 1-2 times a week now. The margarita's are delicious and they even got in new top shelf tequila which I love. Parking is plentiful and recently repaved. They have a huge outside patio section which is nice all year round, not to mention a large inside bar area and dinning area so pick your favorite. I see regulars every time I go! They always serve fresh chips, red salad and bean dip. Not sure why I only recently discovered they have a green salsa which I like even better (and request now) and I always get a small side of guacamole to dip my chips in. Now to the food....I have been on a seafood kick lately so would highly recommend the shrimp tacos (best I have ever had), Shrimp cocktail, ceviche plate and Fish Veracruz (this white fish melts in your mouth and has great flavor). I feel like I can go on and on with so many things to try but def try some of the things I listed above next time you are there (if into seafood). My go-to's use to be Chile verde, bacon wrapped shrimp, chicken tortilla soup, house salad (dressing is delicious), chicken or beef tostada and Granada burrito. read more

The parking lot is bigger than it looks initially- there are entrances from Burbank Blvd and Victory (don't listen to Waze about this!). Comfy front area. Ordered from a server who didn't seem like he usually worked the ordering screen. I saw the sign posted about a cash discount but the server insisted that the price on the receipt was the cash price, which is opposite of what it says on the sign. This is strictly for the last year or so......I've always liked Granada's food, but they've become excessively expensive over the last year and a half. Simple two item combo meal is $20. An ala cart enchilada is like $7. My last name ain't Rockefeller. When I have the opportunity to go out to dinner or any other meal, I've got to watch the prices. My husband and I have been going to this restaurant every time we want Mexican food, for more 15 years! We even tried to support them during the Covid restriction by ordering take-out. They used to have good service but the last two visits were nothing but disappointment specially the last one. We were seated and we ordered a beer and a glass of water while deciding what food to order. We waited and waited and the drinks were never served and no one took our food order. We watched all the other customers who came in after us and they were all being served. Everybody was just passing by our table like we did not exist. Finally I got up and ask one of the servers if we could get the drinks we ordered. They finally gave the drinks to us but still no one took our orders. I finally had it after waiting for several more minutes and decided to go somewhere else. I gave the server our credit card to pay for the beer but one of the guy decided not to charge us. I don't know if they have against an elderly (my husband) who is hard of hearing and that's why they refused to serve us. Needless to say, that would be our last visit there. Grenada has been around since I was a kid and they continue to offer the best Margaritas in Burbank.The food is average at best,but they offer some really great Monday & Tuesday specials.The bar area has a good vibe and the staff is friendly.The stars are mostly for the drinks. Not wanting to cook (again), figured that it had been a long time since last eating here. Thank goodness they are open for takeout for food AND drinks. We didn't need anything fancy, so we ordered a couple black bean & cheese burritos and some Cadillac margaritas. Everything was fresh and hot, even after getting it home. Ah, the good 'ol "fool me, once, shame on you" proverb rears its ugly, overpriced and tasty head once more. I know what you're thinking - "Why in the world would you go back?" I had to, but never, ever again. My friend is creature of habit and likes the fact he can eat three (as in three) baskets of chips without being hassled. So, prior to a meeting in Burbank, he recommended this hole again. I told him "no" then relented. Fine. I did it - but never, ever again. We get there like 5ish and the place was pretty dead. It was nice out, so he asked to sit on the back patio. Over the course of TWO HOURS we were subjected to a complete lack of service. In fact, it was SO BAD I had to actually use my cell phone to call inside to ask that they bring us our check. That's how bad it was. Also, with their 3% "using a non-cash payment" tacked on fee AND the $3 we were charged for the bucket of sour cream they brought to my table the bill came to over $60 and a ton of regret for simply not just going to Chipotle. As I stated before, this mediocre Burbank staple has jacket up the prices and lowered the overall quality and service. Sad. Just close and let someone take over that spot who will actually make the slightest effort towards satisfying their customers. read more

I ordered chilaquiles and I feel like they just added the same salsa they serve with the chips on them. The carnitas tasted like they were old and even the coffee was not good. The food is amazing. The service is prompt. But they also try to add shit on the bill when they've seen you've been drinking. We asked for separate bills/chekcs and they said no they would separate us by table. When we all paid what was owed on our checks they then decided to add gratuity and told us we were wrong in our math. No we were correct in our math, it just looked like a lot of drinks because of the large party (maybe 3 drinks each at most, and that's the easy way to put it cause there were people who didn't drink at all). When we brought it to the attention of the manager he told us to " shut up and be quiet". Very rude when they were called out on their bs. Some people payed cash and some people payed by card. Idk of the waiters were trying to pocket the cash and make the check short, but they were very rude and wrong in the eqy they handled the situation. It was like 250-300$ more they wanted to change from what we ordered. It's hot outside. It was nice and cool inside the restaurant. Our two meals were good. It was more than I would of liked to have spent. We should of ordered off of the alacarte menu. I had a two item combo consisting of beef tamale and chicken enchilada with rice and refried beans. Wow - giant HUNKS of chicken in the enchilada (not some measly shredded stuff). Tamale was good but the masa was kinda smooshy and wet. My partner had the shrimp enchilada with rice and beans. Nice flavor but it seemed to have an odd addition of uncooked celery which gave it a weird texture. Nonetheless it was yummy. No "extras" came with the meals (salad or soup...or sour cream/avocado on entrees), but of course they gave us chips/salsa and a yummy portion of bean dip!. The restaurant gave me the feel of a childhood restaurant my family and I used to eat at. Our server Gustavo did such an excellent job. We arrived an hour before closing but was never in a rush. For the appetizer we ordered queso fundido 10/10. I ordered the flauta combination plate and it was delicious. The Strawberry Margarita is really good.
