Very average food. Loud environment. We mistakenly thought they would serve homemade food and maybe even some vegetarian items but that was not the case. We tried to order freshly squeezed OJ and the server told us they didn't have fresh squeezed and that it came from Publix (at $2.99 a glass). Points for honesty I guess? The chocolate chip pancake we ordered was difficult to cut with a knife, dry, insufficient chocolate chips and not much taste. At least the choc milk got a from granddaughter. The French toast we ordered was dry - no taste of egg but it did have a garnishes serving of berries on it. But 10.99 for 2 pieces of bread sprinkled with powdered sugar and two spoons of berries seemed high. The last thing we ordered was a bowl of seafood chowder. It was reasonably tasty but seemed to be thickened w/ cornstarch. Also the "bowl" was the size of a cup. The servers were nice not nothing was remarkable. We were in town for a baseball tournament and tried this place for lunch. It exceeded our expectations. There were a ton of healthy gluten free options for my son and I. My husband and I are on vacation and were looking for a good place to go get breakfast and The Granary did NOT disappoint! Service was great, food was awesome and QUICK! I loved everything I ordered and the ambiance was inviting! I highly recommend getting a chai tea latte. They were able to accommodate non dairy milk substitution too! My husband got the country fried steak and I got the breakfast grilled cheese.. we both got "hash ups" great addition to our meals! Pancake for a sweet finish was also perfect! This review is based on lunch. I am really not much of a breakfast food person, so I only come here for one thing- tomato basil soup and grilled cheese sandwich. I ordered take out with a large group about a year before eating in. Absolutely loved the tomato basil soup from the first bite. The grilled cheese sandwich is plentiful and compliments the soup well. I do not think I will try anything else on the menu because I don't think anything will beat it!!!! read more

It's ok- just OK. i was always skeptical about it for some reason but I figured I'd give them a fair chance. It's busy and hectic in there- I felt like the staff was trying to get us in and out. Nothing really jumped out at me on the menu- I ordered the Triple Grilled Cheese which comes with a bowl of Tomato Basil Soup for $8.99. This was actually really good and I love the Havarti cheese- but you can't really go wrong with a cheese sandwich anyway. They really emphasize their sweet treats for some reason and they have it out on display by the front. No idea if it's any good (or bad). They cater parties and have alcoholic beverages so that's a plus. For being a private business, not bad and I know plenty of people have great things to say, I just think its too chaotic and the food's just standard for my liking. read more

The worst customer service experience, and it came from the owner! An omelet with runny eggs, they wouldn't fix it or offer to make a new omelet. Instead the owner came and yelled, so much that the rest of the customers turned to look. Not once, but he came back multiple times to yell, when we said we were fine. It turned not fine and asked him to go. He was yelling so loud that not only the customers watched, but both the waiter and the hostess came over after to apologize for THE OWNERS behavior. This is an excellent place for breakfast or lunch. Everything I have tried is very good. They get very busy and usually there is a wait. I've never waited longer than 10 minutes. They have a cute inside atmosphere and a bar area to sit at. They do serve alcoholic beverages. And have a coffee and pastry bar where customers can grab a coffee and pastry and pay by the honor system into a jar that sits on the table. It's super cute and very friendly place. Very quaint place. The breakfast bowls, omelets and hash were all great. Lattes and tea options gave it a cool café kinda vibe while also boasting a unique and full menu. Open for breakfast and lunch, serving both the entire time, I struggled to determine what sounded best off the menu, which is an awesome problem to have. There were also a ton of gluten free options. I won't say the pancakes were the best gluten free that we have had, but they were good and there are a options (chocolate & strawberries, blueberry, etc), so the kids were thrilled. Gluten free bread and buns were an option as well, so if this is your diet, you can eat almost the entire menu with that small change. With 5 of us at the table, I can say I tried 4 dishes and they were all above average and the service was impeccable. I've lived here for 30+ years and this is THE BEST food in town. I've never been disappointed in anything from their menu. They offer delicious gourmet breakfast items that have exceptional flavor and quality. That paired with great service is so hard to come by. We eat here EVERY weekend and my entire family infants to seniors love the food here! Do yourself a favor and try the "old style breakfast skillet" it's not in the menu anymore but is my absolute favorite and they still make it for me weekly. Don't be fooled by the name - this place really knows how to handle a gluten Allergy and it's much appreciated! This is one of my favorite breakfast places. Even though you'll always find a line, the line goes fast and the service is always quick and wonderful. The food is always fresh and the portions are always large. Their Benedict's and CYO omelets never disappoint. They have a bunch of gluten free options and know what's in the same fryer vs. not.
