The Granary is a great lunch spot. It serves breakfast all day, but I don't care for breakfast. This is a great lunch spot - salads, sandwiches, burgers - and a bar. I was always a fan of MacAllisters and haven't been since it was sold. However I like line Granary more. It's so great to have a local place to sit at a bar and have lunch. It's less bar atmosphere and more a ouch spot. I hope that makes sense. Absolutely a great place to go solo and have a lunch. I've been here several times and everything has been delicious. Everything everyone else gets looks good, so I wanted to wait until I have been there 3-4 times to confirm - excellent menu. The staff us great - very friendly, makes an effort to get to know who et are serving. Not invasive at all, but a perfect blend of friendly and professional. Every time I have been I have seen someone from the kitchen walking around to see how everything is, most of the time it has been the owner. This is a kind of place you feel good being at. Even if you know no one there it feels a little like home. Get ere before three and have your all day breakfast or a great lunch. read more

A great breakfast place offering slightly different choices from the usual breakfast fare, probably because the owners are Scottish. My husband enjoyed the Mediterranean omelette and I had the fry up with the best grilled tomato and portabella mushroom. Service was excellent thanks to Debbie. Came here solely on a suggestion from one of the locals and the Granary delivered on his promise. This is a charming breakfast/lunch bistro with a plethora of delicious foods. There is certainly plenty to choose from. Personally, I tried "The Fry Up", a hefty concoction including eggs, sausage, bacon with mushroom and grilled tomato. We found The Granary tucked unassumingly within a little plaza. This was a nice stop on a Monday morning with friendly staff and a couple cheesy definitions of the term "granary" pasted on the walls. Decor including some faux brick and plaster walls and some homey jar lanterns. The Granary is closed on Boxing Day. read more

Overpriced, moderate food. Got a monte Cristo sandwich that wasn't cooked enough, had a weird mushiness to it. Presentation was awkward at best as it is served on a piece of wood platter that makes eating it a challenge. Rather drive a few more miles to Sea Star. read more

The Irish owned restaurant charges enough for the food they serve the public, but can't follow safe health practices. Like many other restaurants it's all about making money and not the customers health. Employees that clean tables and remove dirty dishes should not be allowed to touch dishes of food that are being served. That is absolutely disgusting. No longer going to eat there anymore. Fantastic place to eat!! My husband has to eat gluten free and he absolutely loves their gluten free pancakes. I really like the spicy sausage sandwich. First time and definitely will go back. The wait was like 20 mins approximately for a brunch on Sunday but whatever!! The place is kid friendly, staff and waitress were very nice. Typically, I check Yelp prior to trying out a new place and I was very skeptical about going to The Granary based on a couple bad reviews (& the responses I read). However, I've been wanting to try this place since before they opened so I decided to take a chance today and I'm glad I did. I was greeted by a smiling hostess and was very pleased with the decor (they also have televisions). Everyone I encountered was friendly. About the food: I order a grilled cheese w/fry...YUUUUUUM! The grilled cheese was fresh, buttery, & crisp; the French fries were awesome...perfectly seasoned. Also, the banana chocolate waffle was really good. I'm sure if I would have asked they may have been able to accommodate me (but I was nervous & didn't want to ruffle any feathers) I think the banana chocolate waffle would be perfect if it came with walnuts or roasted pecans. I was also disappointed that they didn't serve any non-pork breakfast meat (i.e. turkey bacon/sausage or even chicken sausage). Finally, the negative reviews on Yelp are addressed on a comment card when you receive your bill. We're encouraged to ask for a manager if we're not happy. And I think that's a fair request. My 9 year old son and I went in for a quick lunch about an hour before closing. They treated us like we were the only ones there even though the restaurant was about half full. Service was friendly and the young lady went through a few specials and recommendations. The food came out very quickly and the server was attentive. She was there if we needed something but was not hovering over us or making us feel rushed. What a great experience!!! This is a perfect place for lunch!!!!!!!!! The food is fresh and wholesome. The soups are made daily, our favorite is the cream of spinach but the cream of corn is great as well. My favorite is the pick 3 where you get soup, 1/2 a sandwich and a side. The Thai chicken salad is fab as is the pineapple coleslaw. My husband loves the ruben!!!! Went by after reading a few reviews online. I was pleased to walk in and sit at the bar area. They serve wine and beer as well has beer infused cocktails. I was offered a sample of their Bloody Mary, it was good but you def need to like beer. I ordered the tuna melt which was fantastic, fresh made English muffin toasted perfectly open faced w tomato bacon and cheese. Delicious and I will def go back. I look forward to trying "The Red Eye" next time (draft beer, bloody Mary, celery, and a wedge of bacon). One of the bests seats in the house are at the counter.
