We heard rave reviews from friends about this place so we had to give it a try. Tried to go the other weekend but the line was so long so we left and got up early today. No like at 8:30am. Went for a nice breakfast because our favorite place closed down (Chickadees), which makes me very, very sad! The food was descent but for the price and the amount you actually got served, I would've rather bought groceries and cooked breakfast for a few days. The menu is a bit bare compared to most but as they say, they have only been open a month. A large orange juice will run you the price of a half gallon of orange juice at the store. Ugh. Eggs Benedict was good but I left hungry and do did everyone at my table. I won't be returning to the Granary as I can do the same if not better for a fraction the cost. I felt for the quantity and price there should've been white fabric tablecloths and an extensive wine list. Ha. I believe serving espresso beverages (quality espressos) could've made the experience a lot better, or even fresh squeezed orange juice for the price instead of, what I thought tasted like Minute Maid. They do turn out a crowd and since they are only open for breakfast and lunch, they could put a bit more on the plates besides filling the plates up with a toasted Tomato slice to give the impression of a full meal. This is my first time here. I'll definitely be back everything is just the way I like it! I found a new breakfast restaurant. The servers warm and friendly price is reasonable. OK this was one of my favorite breakfast places until today when I decided to come here for pancakes. I don't get them very often but I am particular about the way I like them. I don't like them thick and flufy but I like them thin and crispy she said to me the batters already made and they can't change it. Well all you have to do is put a little water in my portion and she kind of snippily said that they just won't do that. Well you know what I don't have to come here do I? I must also say I remember her from another restaurant which I can't recall and have problems with her there too so I don't totally hold it against the restaurant. I believe it is possible to get a thin thin pancake so I won't give up. read more

We finally returned to our favorite breakfast place. However, it was very dissapointing. Eggs Benedict were NOTHING like we had before. They didnt even look like the photo on their site. The englis muffin was so chewy, I'll need dental work. The ham was mediocre. The add on side of hash browns, were cooked so hard, you could have used them for a hockey puck. Wait staff, although friendly, were not on their game today. Get smaller plates. The eggs benny lookes lost on the plate. I could have made better food, with my Easy Bake Oven in the trunk of my car. We had a gift certificate from Christmas that brought us in, but the check was about $30 total, which is a little higher than an average quick lunch. I am a regular at this restaurant and they always go above and beyond to make sure I keep coming back. Their food is always great! It's a busy restaurant so you may end up waiting but that's for any small local diner. They have a bar area if you come in solo. They offer healthy options such as egg whites and turkey sausage. Food presentation is always very nice. Jill, Toni, Kristi, Karen, Sarah and the many other girls that I am forgetting to mention are hard chargers. They have the best staff here. I am updating this review because I've been back a number of times since this and I never have had this issue again. I love the food and all the servers are great! Have to admit I like this place - food is great and the service and price are as well. ONLY issue - when a place says it's open until 3pm and I get there at 2:40pm - I shouldn't be told that they are already done for the day. The three stars for this review are strictly for the food and atmosphere. We went on a Saturday morning around 10am. It was busy and the wait was said to have been 20min. Took 30 min to get seated. No big deal there. That's where things go down hill fast. We sat at the first table at the front of the restaurant. No one approached us or asked if anyone took our drinks. Nothing. We sat and waited patiently. After about 10 min someone approached us. We placed our order. We both ordered breakfast sandwiches. Very easy and quick to make. It took 40 minutes to get our food. We were seconds from walking out when they brought our food. The table next to us were not as fortunate and they did walk out. The food was good but not worth a 40 min wait. Our waiter only came back one time to refill our drinks and never apologized for the wait or the trouble. He knew my wife and I were not happy. The manager never came to our table or apologized for the wait. She walked by at least 15 times. Overall, its just not worth the wait. The entire thing took 1.5 hours. Too much. read more

Average food but nice decor. My tell-tale sign of a decent breakfast place is their toast and bacon. On my visit, the toast was nothing special--as the bread was ordinary like what I can buy at Publix and the bacon was the same, thin and crisp and nothing special. The kicker for me was the eggs were cooked too quickly rendering the whites too tough and not tender. Haven't been back and likely won't. I can do better down the road or at home. This is a terrific restaurant for a wonderful breakfast. I always get a chorizo burrito and it's awesome! The gazpacho (salsa in my mind) that comes with it is really tasty. The burrito shells are always very fresh and not dried out like some places that serve breakfast burritos. The waitresses are very attentive and sweet, and the coffee is better than the average restaurant. They serve the coffee in nice big mugs so you are not always waiting on a refill. My partner always gets two eggs over easy with link sausages. He says the sausages are the best he's ever had. I have tasted them and they are not the usual breakfast sausage links, they have a different taste to them, maybe because of the spices used in making the sausage. They are very good. We love the decor and the ambiance in the restaurant, too. The tables are not crowded together, there's booth seating and a cute little bar area where you can sit at the counter if you like. The place fills up quickly on the mornings they are open, particularly on Sundays, so if you don't get there right when they open on Sundays at 8:00, you might find yourself waiting in line for a bit, but it's worth the wait. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for great breakfast or lunch on LWR Blvd. I started going here when I moved to the area in April. The staff is so friendly and helpful and overall great at their jobs. I have eaten anything from a breakfast sandwich, French Toast, Salads and their Burger. I have found nothing that they don't do right and listen to others and their food experience and it seems everyone loves the items on the menu. I am kind of a Cheeseburger person and it takes alot to impress me but I have to say it is the best cheeseburger I have had in a long time. I have always sat at the bar and enjoyed conversation with the locals so I am not experienced in the dining area but they are the real deal and take pride in the service and food preparation. A must try in my book but sometimes I want to keep that info to myself because it is my favorite and I want to have a seat when I stop in lol. I can't believe it's taken me so long to review The Granary! I come in here probably once a week if not more. It happens to be on my way to work but I would go out of the way for their breakfast. There are a lot of places to choose from for a quick cafe type home cooked breakfast but The Granary is what I would call "elevated". It's nice to have some actual seasoning done right. The service is usually pretty fast even tho they get super crowded on the weekend. Pleasant staff and good food. Try the home cut breakfast fries. Yum. read more
