I've been meaning to come to this place for a month, the restaurant looks pretty cool and the food was good, we had the pick 2 basket with Atlantic Haddock and scallops and fries and they were really good, the fries were extra crispy and delicious and even though the scallops were kind of tiny and a lot of breading, the taste was good. The fish was a little bit mushy, not flaky like you would expect but then again it is Haddock. Their menu is more than just fried seafood, that's why next time we want to try different stuff, probably pastas and other type of dishes. This was a low key spot in the Land O' Lakes area. Small establishment within a shopping center. Reasonable prices and blackened salmon was made perfectly. It wasn't dry and good seasoning. Ok. So we stopped here on a whim. Food was as expected. Basically a $100 dinner for 3 to eat grease. We all liked it fine enough but honestly. One amall app. 2 alcohol drinks. The food was delicious. I had a lobster roll and fries. They don't skimp on the lobster. The rolls was soft and delicious. The fries were cooked perfectly. My husband had a mahi mahi fish taco. It was huge! The sauce on it was great. My husband also talked about the coleslaw all the way home. My kids had gator bites and calamari. I must take a moment to note how perfectly cooked the gator bites were. Not chewy at all. They were served with honey mustard but I think a spicy aioli would have been better. Overall, a good find. Have to say found a new place to eat when I am in town. Very good food and a big surprise that this was located in a strip mall. A group of four of us stopped in for some seafood had fast service and the waitresses were great. I had the shrimp scampi pasta and enjoyed every bite. We had a party of 12. They don't do reservations so we arrived about 20 minutes earlier than the time we agreed to meet up. Thankfully the restaurant wasn't packed so we were able to be seated within 10 minutes or so. I was surprised when it came out because the lobster in the roll is served cold and mixed with some white sauce like Mayo maybe? It gave off a cold lobster salad placed inside of a warm buttered roll? Last times I've had lobster rolls the lobster was cooked in a garlic butter sauce and served warm. I was definitely disappointed in this and the taste. However the mussels Josephine we ordered as apps were amazing. And the garlic bread OMG! Everyone else ordered different items such as fried grouper, catfish, shrimp, fried green tomatoes- which were good. The crab cake balls were good to me but the person that ordered them didn't like them at all. Their yellow rice was hideous. I'm not sure what went wrong there. We ordered it as a side for the kids and they took a bite and wouldn't touch the rest. My son also ordered a cheeseburger well done and by the time we were getting ready for checks I noticed he didn't eat it. He said it was still pink on the inside. I brought it to our servers attention- by this point the kitchen was near closing. She seemed concerned when I gave her his plate and ran to the kitchen. I went to the kitchen to let them know we didn't want it redone but to comp it on the check. She came back out with all the checks thanking me for that because she was worried they wouldn't be able to remake it for us if we wanted another one. The Great Catch, well I ate at this establishment today and I will say that it wasn't bad at all! We started with Pickle chips which came with around a dozen or so with two small cups of ranch and they were great! The main course portions are quite large. My wife had the Scampi Linguine and scallops with Garlic Bread served in a plate sized bowl, she said that it was delicious and she enjoyed it quite a bit. For me I had the 2 pick dinner with 3 sides. Well they didn't give me the fries I requested and I was given onion rings and coleslaw but no third side, the fries. The clam strips were cooked very well as were the scallops. My only problem was it was lacking any seasoning! None it was just plain battered and bland which was very disappointing. Also I requested "sea scallops" but I don't believe I got them being they were small, maybe 2 times the size of a pencil eraser is the best way I can describe it. Also bland to my dismay. The onion rings that I received the coating fell off and were very thin and half coated. Got 1 lonesome shrimp that made its way from the fryer to my meal somehow even though it wasn't supposed to. The coleslaw however was a very good side and I wish I had more of that honestly. The waitress said it was home made and I did enjoy that quite a bit and it reflected to me that it was a family recipe for sure! The establishment isn't fine dining environment and very laid back and it's like going to a pub or similar which I like. Relaxed environment and friendly staff. Our waitress was very attentive and kept everything taken care of making sure our drinks stayed full and we were happy with everything. Wait times at a 5pm were great and the place was starting to fill up fast. The early birds enjoy the place as most of the early dinner crowd were seniors. Overall dinner for 2 with gratuity was around $55 without deserts. Planning on giving the place another go so I can try some of the other things people seem to have enjoyed like the lobster bisque and such. Perhaps the kitchen was having a off day with the fried section because I was disappointed with the lack of seasoning but I'm optimistic and give everything a reasonable try before I won't visit anymore. Overall good value and pleasant experience for what we paid and these days that's hard to find honestly. And the sauce is totally different from what it usually tastes like. And very skimpy on the lobster meat. Not worth 25.99! The Fisherman's platter is priced on the on line menu at 19.99. Imagin my surprise once I reviewed my receipt at home and found I was charged 26.99! I called because I thought there was a mistake. I love great seafood, but this ain't it chief. I ordered the bang shrimp and fried scallops. The shrimp was ok but it was drenched in this mayonnaisey sauce. Good food is served with sauce on the side or a dab not engulfed. The scallops were dry and bland. No seasoning at all. The fried fish my wife had was so oily that the batter was coming off. It was not a good dining experience. Afterwards I felt very uncomfortable as the meal didn't sit right. The reason I am leaving a review, however, is all thanks to Ms Megan, our WONDERFUL, SPECTACULAR waitress! She not only was very friendly and lovely to speak with, but she went out of her way to give above average customer service. The food is 10/10 but honestly our interactions with her and wonderful care provided by her was even more enjoyable than the food! She gave recommendations, the light above my eyes was too bright and without even asking, Megan noticed and reached up with her bare hands to unscrew the bulb and reduce the light. It was so very helpful. I have epilepsy and bright lights can cause big migraines. She's my favorite waitress ever and I will be requesting her every time I go! I'm glad she did, we weren't in a hurry by any means, but the service really wasn't that slow. But still good to know that it was t their normal. Stopped in last Friday with my wife kids and mother as we heard they had real full belly fried clams and Steamers. When we got there it was busy as expected and the hostess advised us to try the new patio they just finished as those were the only tables available. It was only 5 pm so we thought it would be a good idea, it surely was not. 15 minutes of being out there and we were all getting swarmed by mosquitoes as their is a large standing water area right next to the patio. The server really had no knowledge of the menu, especially the "market prices" as well as a number of items being unavailable. We ordered steamers as an appetizer and I went with the lobster dinner, my wife with the lobster roll with lobster bisque. Being from New England we were excited about Maine lobster. After not receiving our steamers until the rest of the food even when asking several times before, we asked to be moved inside as the bugs were unbearable. I then received my lobster dinner, what a disappointment! The lobster had clearly been pre cooked as when I cracked into it tons of water spilled out and barely any meat! I let the server know of the lobster and she came back to tell me the manager offered us free ice cream for the trouble... Free ice cream to fix a $30 lobster dinner wasn't enough for me, but our kids had been there for 2 hours and we were ready to go. Steamers were good but next time I'll buy it from Publix and do it at home. Was really hoping this place would work out but I don't think we will be back. read more

I finally got the chance to check this place out and I was not at all disappointed. I ordered the fried whole belly clam basket and the server was able to give me a larger than normal serving size for a couple extra dollars. The clams were as good as any that I've had in New England, the basket was filled to the brim with clams and fries. Came here with my wife and 2 young kids yesterday (ages 6 and 3) for lunch because we saw it was recently opened, and we like to support local businesses over the chains if possible. We'd never had a lobster roll before, and heard they have them. We were greeted with a super friendly hostess that introduced us to Aniko our waitress after we were promptly seated in our booth by the lobster tank. The kids loved going over to the lobster tank to look at the lobsters, and the staff had some fun with the kids, asking them to name them, etc. The wife and I ordered some draft beers (Goose Island IPA and Shock Top), they were ice cold and a good price ($3.50 each I think). For food I got the clam chowder before the meal, it was really good. I seem to like every clam chowder I have, so take that with a grain of salt. We split the "footlong" lobster roll with fries, and BOY was there plenty of lobster in these things. They serve them in a buttered Texas toast, and not a roll, which was OK with me since the bread is merely an agent for getting the lobster in my mouth. Tons of lobster, just a little mayo to make it stick together, and we both loved it. Our daughter got the kids grilled cheese that came with fries and also dessert (cookies or ice cream). Our son got the lobster bisque but ended up liking my clam chowder more so we got him another cup of chowder. Aniko seemed way more friendly and knowledgable than most waitstaff we come across, we came to find out her dad owns the place, and it shows. She was super friendly, quick, and took great care of us. This is a fun casual place with ice cold beers and a welcome addition the the Land O Lakes / Lutz 41 corridor. They have a deck outside which will be awesome in the cooler months, we'll definitely be back soon. read more

I was very uncomfortable with the efforts put forth to make the dining experience safe. The ketchup, tarter sauce and cocktail sauce were placed on our table in large squirt bottles. Assuming these are passed from table to table. The ladies room paper towel dispenser was broken and a large roll was sitting on the coutertop. This means every person visiting bathroom is handling paper towels. We visited in hopes new Oldsmar location could be a favorite destination. Food was average with large portions.
