Iv always walked by this place but never gone in. The food was delicious. I ordered a single great (basically avocado bacon cheeseburger) and a chilli cheese dog. They both came with fries as well. The price was great for the amount of food given . The waitress was the sweetest lady ever. She made sure everything was fine and would check up on me. The ambiance was my so cool as well. Literally felt like i was transported back in to the 50s, which is why i actually went in to the restaurant in the first place. Overall check this place out read more

Visiting from Arizona with my family, and we absolutely loved this place! The food was amazing breakfast was delicious, and I tried a bite of my kid's mushroom burger, which was outstanding. The customer service was great. We never ran out of drinks, and even though it was busy, the staff kept checking in on us. Everything was perfect ! My little family and I were visiting from out of town for a wedding and ate here on our way back. From the ambiance to the servers to the food everything was wonderful. Today my boyfriend and I wanted to go out for breakfast and I remembered that I wanted to try The Great Grill for breakfast to compare. Our breakfast was delicious. We sat outdoors and enjoyed the scenery. Inside is good too, but we decided to sit outside for a change. The service was perfect again. I went for the first time and it was absolutely amazing! The food arrived quickly and the waitress was the sweetest! I ordered the mushroom and swiss burger with a side of onion rings. The onion rings were fresh and crunchy and the burger was savory. I also had a classic vanilla shake which was also pretty good in my opinion. The restaurant itself looks amazing as well. From the floors to the ceilings, the restaurant is decorated in 50's decorations with vinyls on the walls with a giant one on the ceiling with popular songs from the era with a burger related pun to the name. The best part about this would be the jukebox. At every booth there is a wall-o-matic which for every quarter you spend you can queue three songs from their selection which plays in the restaurant. The jukebox is placed conveniently in the middle of the store and you can see it swap out the disks for whichever songs you put in; I found it to be entertaining since I went by myself. Overall an amazing experience, I can't wait to bring family or friends with me on my next visit. read more

Once one walks into "The Great Grill," be prepared to awaken into a retro juke box atmosphere with a setting from the 1950's soda pop when girls wore poodle skirts, collared shirts and guys wore slicked-back hair along with high-waisted pants. This establishment has records of all sizes decorating most of the walls along with other nostalgic items. One will find a retro juke box in the front of the restaurant along with juke boxes along all the wall booths. The service, the food, and the overall ambience is fabulous. I had chosen one of their omelets which was delicious. We were pleased that we chose "The Great Grill" for lunch. Next time I visit the restaurant, I will bring my longtime friend Danny Zuko with me. I'd give it a 3.5! By no means was it a bad experience, it just was a pretty average diner experience. I came here ahead of going to a Grease sing-a-long at the Hollywood Bowl to get the vibes set for the evening and I will say, it definitely succeeded in that regard! It has a cute 50s diner feel and I appreciate that the tableside juke boxes actually play to the whole room and not just at the table. The staff here was also very nice! The food is where it kinda fell flat, still not bad, just average! I ordered a patty melt and my friend ordered a cheeseburger and they were both just kind of ok. The grilled onions on my patty melt were very lightly grilled and that was the biggest disappointment. The fries were ehh and the ranch just tasted a little off? Not bad, but off? Was out in burbank getting school stuff for my daughter's project, and with hangry kids and wifey, we looked for a new place to chow down. Saw this place with a 50's diner theme. The place was clean and it had booths on each side which made it nice since I would take a booth over a table any day. The staff was very friendly and came to seat us right away. I got the pastrami sandwich, which was a good portion size. The wifey got the avocado chicken sandwhich. My daughter wanted the star shaped chicken nuggets, but they mention it may not be shaped but to her suprise, they had them shaped into dinosaurs which was a nice touch. My son got the pancakes. All the food was cooked and tasted great. Our waiter constantly checked up on us to make sure we were good and if we needed anything.
