After 15 minutes he finally got his food. I waited another 5 minutes before checkout my on my order. They said they were running behind on the grill. I waited another 5 minutes and they said it would be ready soon. Finally after 30 minutes of waiting I just asked for my money back. During the wait, I saw multiple other people check on their orders and that's when the staff realized they lost order tickets. My friend had ordered the rogue (braised short rib sandwich) and did not enjoy it at all, stating there was no flavor to the meat. Do not bother trying Wandering Dago. They are unorganized and even though they make it seem like a gourmet menu, the food is not good. Stay away and try any of the other good options around

They have mostly beef, chicken and pork dishes- but sometimes they may carry fish for their tacos- so call ahead if fish is your primary protein. If fish is not in that day, these ladies can turn any item on the menu and create a Vegetarian one for you. The Agua de Jamaica for hubs and my Horchata I ordered are huge at $5ea and did the trick nicely. Service is swift then you're good to go. The beans, rice and cheese enchilada are the perfect complement to the steak and the vegetables soak up all the steak juice and chipotle butter. They're also very well seasoned with garlic as is. Chatted with the owner by chance at Mother Earth Kingston. I am not vegan, but as a former vegetarian, sometime chef, and all around "foodie" who especially loves Mediterranean, Indian, and middle-Eastern cuisine, I was desperately seeking a last minute fix to my Christmas dinner, that is, a variety of intriguing but healthy side dishes. Well, with about 2 days notice, the amiable Green Palate owner managed to solve my holiday meal issues by volunteering to put together a small catered order (for him) of sampler dishes. He came through to the max with an amazing array of five mini platters which magically pleased both the "meat and potatoes" people and the "vege" people at our meal. The food? Wow! It has a definite Italian basis with a variety of other ethnic influences, but done with organic veges and a light touch. It is not too salty or oily. So that's a home-run for me, vegan or not. The broccoli rabe was a beautiful emerald green and delicious - not over or under-cooked; roasted potatoes were a medley of mini types including purple ones- very flavorful and colorful to look at; stuffed mushrooms were homey and very good (slightly too much chunky garlic for me but I am very picky); eggplant parmigiana was light yet filling with homemade tomato sauce and topped with cheese that must be vegan but was perfectly cheesy; and maybe the most amazing- homemade stuffed grapeleaves, each neatly wrapped and rolled, the tray artistically garnished with caperberries and curved lemon slices. I have made grapeleaves from scratch and know how time-consuming it is to do, and how hard to get just right- which these were. At first I thought the price was a bit high but after realizing how many portions were in there, it came out to only about $5 for a hearty side dish of homemade, organic food- so actually it's a deal! This is the kind of thing you always want to find at restaurants but rarely do. I can't wait to try their other things next season at their food truck or from Mother Earth or anywhere I can get it. The food is made with and tastes like it is made with very wholesome, organic ingredients and yes, love! Makes a difference. I would honestly give the recipes 4 stars, the ingredients quality 5 stars and the service, intention, and enthusiasm 10 stars...so yes! I highly recommend this local venture! My husband and I LOVE the Green Palate. When we first started dating we would love to stroll through town and stop at the corner and check out what was on their menu and sit down and enjoy, we are always delighted by their food! We also love that they sell some of their products at our local health food store in town. My favorite are their oat burgers!--YUM. Not only are John and Bennedetta just amazing, lovely people, they make damn good food! Last year on August 1st my husband and I got married. We both knew right away that we wanted them to cater our wedding. Bennedetta handled everything so professionally. She was honest, forward and wanted to know everything we hoped for and wanted and she then told us what she could/couldn't do. There really wasn't anything they couldn't do that I can remember... ANYWAY!--the food was phenomenal, but most importantly their service and attention to detail was impeccable. They set up our entire dining area and broke it down. They made our day feel effortless and as perfect as it could have gone. People are still commenting on how good the vegan Italian food was (I am Italian, so that was a big deal for my family, since they are not vegan). We were and still are beyond grateful for their generosity, dedication and love for what they do! If we had to do it all over again, we absolutely would have them. John and Benedetta have finally filled a gap for the Vegan community: Italian-inspired food! An organic, soy-free menu with gluten free options and locally sourced ingredients shows how progressive this mom and pop pop-up shop really is. My girlfriend and I enjoyed sliders over salad, mozzarella rice cakes, and grilled vegetable kebabs. If you eat wheat, the pizza is beyond excellent. Every part of the meal is bursting with as much flavor, beauty, and creativity as John and Benedetta themselves - and believe me they are beautiful. My family has so many dietary restrictions. Diabetics, began, vegetarian, gluten free, nut allergies, just to name a few. Every time we are in Woodstock NY, The Green Palate Grill accommodates all our crazy requests. The food is so amazing that even the meat eaters enjoy their meal. I've been a big fan of the Green Palate for years now, but with their Carrot Hot Dawg, they've really outdone themselves. Somehow, they've managed to make a carrot taste like a hot dog -- with all the fixings (sauerkraut, ketchup, mustard), but without all the gross stuff (animal parts, sulfates). I would've included a photo, but it's already in my tummy, so here's a pic of my other fave item: their veggie slider, which won first place for Best Main Course in the Taste of Woodstock. Everything I have ever had from The Green Palate truck has been amazing. When I found out they delivered or shipped I took advantage and placed a huge order to last a few weeks. Everything was delicious, but a few that stand out to me as I have to get again and again and again are the pizza and the hummus. Both superb and the Hummus is the absolute best I have ever had, I have NEVER had a bad dish from The Green Palate. I've had the Vegan Burger, Po Boy, Lasagnas and the Poppers and all AMAZING! I stumbled upon this hidden gem while visiting a friend and wow!! This place was amazing!!! The food was so deliciously tasty. The staff is super friendly, making sure you are happy and get everything you ordered. They have a wide selection of Vegan dishes sure to satisfy any palate!! The spinach poppers were one of my favorites. You can tell their food is fresh and not stored. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a delicious meal and is open to trying new things. A hidden gem on an outdoor food stand in the dead center of Woodstock NY is The Green Palate. This eatery had the best Vegan food I have had. I search for vegan food that is affordable and yummy and I found it at my doorstep. Just wish it was here everyday. They gave me a few stores that I could locally buy incredible "meatballs" and it's a staple in my fridge now. Pizza is delicious worth a trip for- and the lemonade is the best I've tasted. Just got done finishing my meal from the food truck at the saugerties farmers market. Not only was the owner there to explain everything about his business but the food absolutely fantastic. Their menu is extensive and impressive; they have some all-star dishes on their permanent menu as well as a rotating daily menu with a legendary lineup of seasonal items. I really appreciate that they have dishes that are hard to come by such as lentil loaf and lasagna, and these never disappoint. The lentil loaf is unique; it is a little brick of lentils (not your traditional sliceable mush of breadcrumbs and minced veggies). It's very well seasoned and the tomato sauce on top is not overly sweet. The mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy and (very) garlicky greens make it a great meal. The lasagna is one of my favorite dishes. It's pasta-free and just made from layers of sliced zucchini and other veggies sandwiched with their delicious crumbly housemade cashew cheese. The herby tomato sauce is super flavorful. The side salad and garlic bread that accompany it are great also; an ultra comforting meal. We enjoyed the macro meal, although honestly not as much as the other dishes. The pan-seared tofu was delicious, but the arame seaweed salad was super seaweedy and salty - a bit much for me. I'm also not sure why they didn't serve it in a bowl, which would have made the rice etc. easier to eat. It seemed to be missing something - perhaps avocado, or a hunk of sweet potato. A few items at the Garden Cafe are a little perplexing, compared to how perfect most of their food is. The tempeh is just ok. It's heavily marinated in a sweet and salty sauce and kind of strange. Also disappointing that it's just a big brand tempeh rather than one of the local tempeh brands available in the area. The housemade focaccia is also bizarre. The texture made me think it was gluten-free (but it's not). Is it whole wheat?? If that's the case, awesome, but they should mention that on the menu, so you aren't taken aback when you don't get pillowy airy bread and instead get something flat and gray that could be mistaken for a biscotti. We LOVE the Garden Cafe and wish more places like this existed serving organic classic meals. We wish they would open a location in New York City, but until then, we will be making the drive!

The place is called "The salad bar" however their sandwiches are just as good if not better than the salad. The ingredients are always fresh and I've never been disappointed. Prices are fair considering the quality and overall we need more places that are different and unique like this in the village. They have small cozy area for you to chill and enjoy your meal and the service is always quick and friendly. Many of the towns in the Hudson Valley have been revitalizing their downtown areas with great success but Catskill Village seems to be moving a lot slower compared to those other areas. The salad bar is one of those places that's helping it move forward.

My one sentence review "Creative luncheon choices with a Brazilian flare, featuring many vegetarian and gluten-free options, in a bright, spotless, and warm venue, at sensible prices with cheerful staff." Misto Eats--Cafe, Market, and Catering is located on S. Broadway, one of the two main streets (the other being Market) which cross to make up the center of Red Hook, NY. There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant if you don't want to park on the street. You review the posted menu (also available online) and the board listing the day's specials, order, pay, grab a table on either side of the restaurant, and wait for your food to arrive. If you are looking for creative eats, Misto Eats is the place to find them. They also carry lots of pre-made meals (including soups and stews) and various meat and salad preparations along with some grocery items, freshly baked cookies and breads. The venue itself is airy, bright and warm. A beautiful place to sit, relax, talk and enjoy some freshly prepared food. Our food came out after a brief wait as everything is made to order. My wife ordered from the day's specials--Grilled vegetables sandwich on home-made Naan featuring zucchini, cauliflower, oyster mushrooms, goat cheese, and Baba Ghanoush-Hummus. The sandwich comes with the daily side which today was a delicious home-made potato salad with red onions, chopped fresh Italian parsley, very lightly dressed. I ordered from the regular menu--"The Little Pickles Sandwich"--and there was nothing "little" or diminutive about it. The sandwich included crispy cod fritters on house-made Pão Frances with pickled serrano chili, pickled red onions, baby arugula, and MISTO aioli. An amazing combination of flavors and while I've eaten many a cod fritter, cake or ball over the years (think pastéis de bacalhau in a Brazilian or Portuguese restaurant), these were among the tastiest I have ever enjoyed. That they make their own Pão Frances (which were available for purchase in the bakery case as well) helped elevate the palate experience of this dish. My sandwich also came with a scoop of that lovely potato salad. We really enjoyed our sandwiches, beverages, and the relaxing atmosphere at Misto Eats. If there weren't so many other wonderful places to explore in the Hudson Valley for lunch and dinner, I would go back to Misto Eats tomorrow to try something else from their creative menu. They are open 11:30 am - 6 pm most days, closed on Mondays. We will definitely be back in a few weeks for further exploration of the menu
