The Green Room is a pretty amazing experience (with a couple of hiccups). I stopped by this speakeasy on a Thursday evening at 9 p.m. I made a reservation through OpenTable. Located inside of Castaway, valet is your only real option. I found some street parking which was about a 10 minute walk. The problem was the road you need to walk down has no sidewalk and it's pitch dark. I figured risking getting run over by a car isn't worth it. Especially at night. Ambiance (5/5): This is one of the areas where The Green Room Shines. Once you walk into Castaway, tell the front desk you have a reservation. They will lead you through a hidden door close to the bathroom to get into the speakeasy. From there, you'll have the option of either sitting inside (where you'll find Prohibition-era vibes) or outside on the patio. I highly recommend sitting on the patio. Despite the chilly weather while I was there, part of the appeal of The Green Room (and The Castaway if you're going to the restaurant instead) are the scenic views of LA. The Green Room is located at the top of a mountain so amazing views await. Especially if you're there at sunset. Service (2.5/5): Room for improvement here, for sure. From reading reviews prior to my visit, other Yelpers talked about having to solve a puzzle to enter the speakeasy and then receiving a welcome drink. This wasn't part of my experience. I'm not sure if it's something they no longer do, or if I was unlucky, but it was a bummer either way. Part of the appeal of a speakeasy is the mystery and intrigue of getting in. And who doesn't like a welcome drink?! My waiter, on the other hand, did a pretty good job. He was charming and explained each of the cocktails. He was a little less attentive than I like, but overall, it was good. They also have free WiFi which is also a good touch. Another knock is that valet is $11 (plus a processing fee if you pay by card). I'm not from California, so I'm not used to Cali prices, but this seems a little steep in my mind. There's no reason for the entire parking lot to be valet. There easily could be self-parking there. It's just a money-making scheme. Food (N/A): I had dinner prior so I was on a liquid diet. They do have a food menu though. Drinks (4.5/5): If you're looking for clever, over-the-top drinks, you'll have that option at The Green Room. What's cool is that the specialty cocktails are all inspired by various movies including Aladdin, Snow White, Crazy Rich Asians, and more. The Aladdin-inspired cocktail is served in a teapot and is for two. The Snow White-inspired cocktail comes with a mirror and lipstick where you can write stuff on the mirror. Talk about creativity! If you're looking for something less intense, they have normal cocktails too, as well as wine. As the self-appointed king of speakeasies, one of the things I look for at a speakeasy is creativity and an interesting blend of flavors and ingredients. You certainly have that here. The Green Room features some of the most creative cocktails I've ever experienced. Combine that with the incredible views, and it's quite the experience. Without some problematic service elements, they would easily be a five-star experience.
Made a reservation for Saturday night 7pm and there were still plenty of tables available. Except, sitting in the patio gets filled out quickly, so we were only able to sit inside. Later in the night, the restaurant does get more filled, so a reservation is definitely recommended. Especially how some tables may stay for a long while. Patio is also quite small too. If you're there for the views and don't have a table, it'll be hard to see lol They offered a welcome drink which was pretty nice, very refreshing and fruity! Service was quite quick and attentive as well, very friendly! Our server offered some recommendations as it was our first time there, which we ended up getting the Paid Vacation, Crazy Rich Cocktail, and the caviar frites. The cocktails here are quite a show. The presentation is really nice here! It really elevates the experience. The drinks are also pretty strong (if you're weak to alcohol like me lol). I enjoyed the paid vacation a lot more cause it was sweet, but the crazy rich cocktail in my opinion looked the nicest between the two. Except, that it was pretty hard to drink. It's very 'smokey' and my bf described it as lighter fluid. As for the caviar frites, this was recommended by the server, but honestly this would be a pass for us haha. It was just something that we never tried before, so we were curious to try, but the caviar and the sauce they had with it going on in the fries, it really didn't do too much to enhance flavors. Also the fries could have been crispier, it was a bit undercooked, but maybe personal preference for people. Not sure for the rest of the food here, but I would just get drinks here. Overall, our experience was really nice here. Drinks were flashy, also considerably strong. Service was really nice here as well. The bar/restaurant isn't entirely that big either, so it's a must for reservation. Valet parking was $11.
This was my first time at the Green Room, but I've been to Castaway a handful of times! Parking is valet only. Make sure to make a reservation. I've been wanting to come here for years and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the drinks were fun and tasty. I loved the presentation of the drinks. We were seated outside, so it was nice to enjoy the view. Next time I'll have to try and sit inside to see what that's like. I wish I could remember the name of our server to shot her out, because she was amazing!
Beautiful location and great presentation on both the food and drinks. I made reservations twice requesting outdoor seating (and even called and left a message regarding being seated outside), but was seated inside both times, which was disappointing. Also, the menu is pretty limited. Food is good overall, but small service details matter. The staff is very nice but my drink came in a cracked glass and by the time I got someone's attention, I had already finished it.
The food was good, but there weren't a whole lot of options. I tried the oysters, caviar fries, the lunchbox, the after school snack and the hot seafood tower. I enjoyed all the food but the pizza pocket thingies were a little underwhelming. I enjoyed my oysters but on my friend's platter there was an oyster with barely and meat on it and I was surprised they even served it. The drinks were good and very "show-ey." The service was good- our server was cool and friendly enough. The ambiance is a 10 and I'd go back for that alone. I heard this place has happy hour, so I'll definitely go back for that!
Obsessed with these filet mignon Sammies ever since I tried it on the castaway tasting menu 2 years ago. These are cute bite sizes and good appetizers. The drinks are fun. This part of the restaurant is so much more intimate with the same amazing view. Truly enjoyed a nice evening here. And everything else was delicious! Love this place.
WOW - what a find this place was!! Best happy hour spot in the Burbank area. FOOD/DRINK The food and drink experience was delicious and unique. I loved the creative touches and presentation this place offered. I got the Paid Vacation drink with the tongue-numbing flower that changes the way the drink tastes. The flower was not the most pleasant thing to eat, but the experience was worth it. The After School Snack (calzones) were INCREDIBLE! The Terrarium wasn't anything too special, and I did enjoy the Special Delivery kimchi balls. AMBIENCE/SERVICE We were greeted into our secret speakeasy experience with a free taste of the drink of the day - it was fantastic. The views were also absolutely stunning. I'd definitely want to come again during sunset. NOTE: Parking is valet only ($9 I believe?), but there is free parking about 7 minutes down the slight hill if the weather is nice and you don't mind a mini hike! The servers were friendly, and overall I will be coming back here for sure!
Took my niece here to celebrate her 21st birthday and she loved it. Besides the incredible view, the staff was amazing, especially our server Jasmine. She went out of her way to make her feel special and brought her a free shot presented in this cool box with dry ice and wrote her a personalized birthday note. Food was great, presentation was top notch. Niece was impressed and we are left with great memories of this special day.
This is a lot of things. It's a scene. It's a special occasion place. It's a show. There's stunning and iconic views. And they serve food too. Everything here is drama. Getting here is an event - I didn't even know Burbank HAD mountains like this... and you keep going up and up and up... Then, walking in and being told I would need to solve a puzzle to figure out a password to gain entry. I did not comply. I'm truly no fun in that way. I made a reservation so I'm coming in, you know? Anyway, I lightened up when presented with the "free nightly cocktail". Nice surprise. I don't remember what it was but it was a tasty little drink to help ease me into this experience. Which, as I mentioned before, is A LOT. The patio view is stunning. Absolutely amazing. And you will recognize it from dozens of TV shows and movies. When the sun is out, the view is remarkable. When it's dark, it's even better. Unfortunately, there is no practical seating. The tables are too small for the giant presentations and nothing is designed with having food in mind. We definitely planned on making this our dinner, not just drinking it. The best seats are probably the lounge chairs with the low tables in front of them, which allow for both people to enjoy that view... of course, you'll have to bend considerably low to reach any food on the table. Eating clearly is not the point here. And you know that because the food is... well it's for show. It's not terrible but it's so wild and outlandish that if it actually did manage to be delicious, you'd be gobsmacked. But it's not. We started with "The Terrarium" - and yes, everything here has a silly name. This is hummus with fried pita and veggies. It's served on an enormous wooden platter with the pita crazily exploding into tall shards. It's something to see. It's not particularly good. The hummus is strictly grocery store case and the pita was stale. We also had the Hot Seafood Tower. That was not bad. The seafood is seasoned like one of those "seafood boil in a bag" places and they didn't give us anything to crack the crab legs and lobster with so it was a pretty messy experience. We liked the oysters and the crab and lobster were fine. The scallops were overcooked, which happens, but they were still edible. Drinks are just as outlandish as everything else. We saw cocktails delivered in a bed of flowers, in a "poison apple" with a mirror to write on in lipstick, and various other theatrical presentations. I had the Tropical Thunder, which came with a story. Our eyes hurt from rolling so much... but yeah, we were having fun. These designer cocktails are NOT cheap - at least $22 and upwards of $40 or more. They aren't strong either, but if you drink too much you wouldn't be able to make it off the mountain, so they're probably doing you a favor. Dessert was a big miss but also a really big show... we had "A Pie-Rates Life For Me"... yeah, we didn't know what it was either. The description is a lot of dessert type words that don't go together. It turned out to be pretty much a baked Alaska. It was lit on fire (natch) with a pour of booze. And that was all you tasted throughout the dessert. The raw alcohol soaked the meringue outside and the cake inside had also been soaked in booze. We couldn't eat more than a few bites. But what a show! Despite everything, this was a great evening out. The room is vibrant and full of the beautiful people in very revealing clothing and terrifyingly high heels. We know they're not here for the food. No one is. Take someone that isn't from LA here and they will be astounded. But give 'em dinner at the Smokehouse first...
Service was great! The waitresses we had were super duper nice and very attentive. Everything we ordered was amazingly delicious. Drinks were tasty and strong- just how I like it. The sushi tacos and ceviche were flavorful, I couldn't help but want more. We seemed to have had the lounge to ourselves and it had such beautiful decor and the lighting was perfect.
This was a very chill and fun experience, with amazing view and music , great vibes and cool appetizers and extraordinary drinks. The service was nice and friendly but they were very slow. Took them 45 minutes from the minute we sat down to bring our drinks. I liked the ambiance and the music they were playing was very nice . I just wish their service was more on point. The menu also needs better items . What we got was delicious but we couldn't find anything else that we liked in the menu. We got the caviar fries, the crab appetizer (with cream cheese and bread) and the ceviche (needs more chips)
Came here for my final birthday celebration lol. This restaurant has been on my bookmarks for a while so I was super excited to finally make a visit. The Green Room is a lounge right next to the Castaway Restaurant. They have a cool Photo Booth right outside the Green Room so you can take pics while you wait to enter. We walked in and entered the Green Room through a side door, where we walked into a literal green room with 1920's inspo lol. We were welcomed with a complimentary Gin Paloma, which was good! We were seated in their patio area which had amazing views of Burbank and DTLA in the distance. The views were definitely a plus! We came around 6pm so we were able to catch the sunset. What makes this restaurant special are their presentations for their food and drinks. Their cocktail menu is inspired by movies which made the drinks extra fun. Of course I ordered the Tiffany Prefers Cocktails because tequila is my fav lol. It came out in a Tiffany blue box where you pull the glass out of the box and the server pours the drink into the glass. So cool! We also ordered La Muerta which was inspired by Coco. It came with a popsicle and spicy chamoy stick. For food we ordered the Uncrustables, Caviar Frites, Castaway Dry-Aged Bites, and Lobsta. The Uncrustables came out in a lunchbox and the Dry-Aged bites had cool little mustache toothpicks. These were our favs. We enjoyed the Caviar Frites but wish it had a sweet/spicy sauce to accompany as it was overall pretty salty. Lobsta was good but wish it had more lobster. We saw that they previously had popcorn chicken and wanted to try that out. Because it was my birthday, they offered a complimentary birthday drink which was a nice touch. Would come back for another celebration! I recommend coming during golden hour. read more
Driving up to this place is like adventuring into Jurassic Park. It's such a cool drive and such an amazing location. Just imagine golfers in the mountain woods instead of dinosaurs, though. The service was really friendly. Not that I wasn't expecting that, but sometimes places that are very high-end are a bit more cool. But from the hostess to our incredible server, we were made to feel very welcome. The inside is gorgeous and bright, with tantalizing views of the valley. Unfortunately, it rained pretty heavy right before we were there, so the gorgeous outdoor deck was not open. Both of my cocktails were best in class worldwide. All of the drinks have some sort of movie theme and accompanying creative presentation. And while the presentation was a ton of fun, the great news is the drinks live up to the height of the presentation. I had the Tyler Durden and Crazy Rich Cocktail. The Durden had a molecular foam on top that I'm now dying to re-create. The Crazy Rich had a delicious bit of butterfly pea dancing with the Mezcal. The only food we sampled was the LOBSTA, a sort of lobster bisque puff pastry. And we could've eaten four or five more servings. What an amazing place! read more

As good as it gets! The Green Room is one of the coolest establishments out there. The views are great, the service is impeccable, and the decor/vibes are on point. Did I mention the food or drinks? Top notch. While we were here mostly for drinks, we couldn't resist the Peruvian-style ceviche. The bartender was even able to make us an off-menu pisco sour to go along! If you're on the fence about going to The Green Room, let me just say that it is well worth the journey no matter where in the greater Los Angeles area (or beyond!) you are located. This place is the complete package. We could not have asked for a better night out. I cannot wait for my next visit. read more

Such a great place to lounge when you want a great drink with a view. The service is great and all the staff were very kind. Keep in mind that it is a lounge style bar so the food is mostly appetizers but still delicious. My favorite were the caviar frites and the mini steak sammies. The after school snack calzones are a MUST HAVE. Absolutely recommend! read more

WHAT AN UNEXPECTED BRILLIANT EXPERIENCE, THE BEST FOOD AND DRINK PRESENTATIONS PROS------- Ambiance - The hidden speakeasy type room was opulent with old Hollywood vibes. The lighting, the style, the views of the city were amazing. Definitely worth the trip. Drinks - The drinks were outstanding! The presentations of each are unmatched so be prepared to take a vid or pic of each! I came here for my bday with my husband The place is very nice, upscale but can dress casual or business casual , prices to match that vibe as well The entrance for green room is in the castaway like a secret entrance We sat outside, it was so cold inside ! The view was beautiful We got the truffle popcorn chicken and the beef cigar tartare The chicken... I didn't really taste the truffle ...? The food presentation was very cute and artistic I love how playful it was The chicken was nice and crispy The beef tartare was flavorful and I was pretty full The sauce/dip it came with was good as well ! It was fun food My only complaint is the service ... took forever to bring out my mocktail Took forever to come take out Oder and then forever to bring the food Forgot to bring us water Waiter just didn't check up on us And I'm my opinion it wasn't even that busy ... it was pretty empty outside and inside the green room... I am not sure if I would go back But if you don't mind a slow night and good ambiance and food I'd say check it out ! read more

The Green Room initially opened up in 2018 but re-opened up again back in late 2021. It shares some space at The Castaway but in a tucked away corner; you'll still be sky high in Burbank with sweeping San Fernando Valley views. There's a private entrance near the main lobby type area that takes you to this lounge-y space. The age requirement is 21+ and upscale attire is needed/preferred. Currently they're operating only on a Thursday-Sunday basis from 6pm-11pm. Reservations are needed. There is both indoor and patio seating, and the space is really nice overall. The indoor space features the bar and nice lounge-y couch seating while the patio area features comfortable patio seating with overhead heat warmers. You'll get a fantastic view (just like parts of The Castaway) both in the indoor space but even more so in the patio area. After checking in they start you off with a complimentary welcome drink and lead to your seating. The menu is made up of various drinks and various bites. Their specialty drinks which are inspired by various films feature an interesting/fun wow factor such as some type of décor feature - popcorn ball, flowers, pizza box etc. They also serve various classic drinks, various wines - glass and bottle, and they do some bottle service as well. They might have beer as well but I didn't ask on this first visit nor did I see it on a menu. They don't really serve full-on entrees here but rather appetizer like features, bites, small plates, and the like. Portions however are very good. Items include such things as but not limited to a charcuterie board, truffle popcorn chicken (popcorn included!), Flamin' hot chicken sliders, filet mignon steak bites, caviar frites, mini calzones, some seafood dishes (oysters, caviar, ceviche, aguachile, seafood tower) and some dip and veggie dishes. I feel like the items are all shareable. On the initial visit I tried a specialty cocktail and a classic, the filet mignon sammie and truffle popcorn chicken. Pay Me A Compliment - Jefferson Ocean Bourbon, popcorn essence (it was a marshmallow-y popcorn ball!), bitters, 24k gold dust. This was basically an old fashioned of sorts, but it got a little messy for me with the marshmallow part. It was a fun drink though. The Old Fashioned - Four Roses Bourbon, turbinado sugar, bitters, candied maple bacon Filet Mignon Sammie - Filet mignon, milk bread, smoked trout roe, truffle aioli, port wine, onions, arugula, french onion dip. The filet mignon was cooked a beautiful medium rare and the "sammie" was cut up in shareable bites. This was really good! Truffle Popcorn Chicken - Harissa-maple dust, crispy parsley, sweet chili ketchup. Not sure if I could taste the harissa maple dust as much as the truffle but this was was a solid choice as well. Loved the chili ketchup and the bites of popcorn in between. Parking is valet only, which is currently at $9. On this initial visit we were a group of 5 and had a really nice time. The music was great (a nice mix of older hits and current), the weather was perfect, food was great and service was spot on with Nicole who greeted us and served as a host, Julia our wonderful server and Anton who helped around as well. My favorite place!! I absolutely love coming here. I would rather go here than castaway. First off the vibe in the ambience is amazing. Plus you get the gorgeous view from your table. I think the food is fun and unique. Absolutely I got my caviar fries and I tried the calzones and this little lunch bowl that they had. The food just seems so much fun to me. The servers are so nice and so sweet. I was Vibing with our server. She was so nice. I will always bring friends here anytime or any chance I get. Plus the drinks are absolutely amazing and obviously Instagram worthy. read more

I am so excited I came here! This is a speakeasy at the castaway. There is valet only here but only $11 which is amazing. They have a select menu here. I got the caviar fries will come with two types of caviar, and crème fraîche, it is a huge plate of fries that you can share between 2 to 3 people. They also have a delicious house made ranch. I got the uncrushables as well, which is a crabcake. It's more of a crabcake/clam chowder. It's a loose filling, not a real consistency of a crabcake. But the outside crust is delicious. For the drinks, we got the mocktails, but they still did the presentation for us which were so nice. The three wishes is the most extravagant. It is sort of like Aladdin vibes, with amazing gems on the cups, cinnamon sticks on the platter and a beautiful Aqua blue tea pot. There's even smoke coming out of the tea, even though it's not a hot drink. All about the presentation. I also got the Tiffany pearls cocktail drink. Which is a play on breakfast at Tiffany's. The drinks here and the food is based on movies by the way! My drink should be blue, but since I didn't get alcohol, they made it work with the lemon sorbet and a yummy juice liqueur. I love the service here, even though it was a little slow getting attention. The staff here was so sweet and you could tell they love working here and it made me love being there. The outside has heat lamps, fireplace, it is a beautiful view. But I prefer to sit inside as they have a DJ, with a disco ball, a lot of lavish seat/couches. Bartenders are always on the move as well, and when you walk in, there is a fountain that you can use to get a free first drink. I believe it is watermelon, mint, and some sort of alcohol. read more
My date and I decided on this place for an early Friday night for appetizers and drinks. We did Valet parking not sure if there's a self-park. It is preferred that you make a reservation but we came in last minute and they had bar room only. Which was ok with us. The bar is really nice and the vibe is sexy the music was really good! I didn't get the Dj's name but you were playing all the old school, Thank you! The drinks were delicious we had a Paloma a Summers 2023 drink that comes with cotton candy and sprinkles rim(wink) Presentation was very cute. Mojitos we're okay but missing the cane sugar stick. The appetizers were delicious! we ordered the Yellowtail agua Chile which was referred to us by the bartender(thank you) mouth-watering! Popcorn chicken AGAIN presentation was key. Loved it all I needed was theatre seating. Last but not least Parmesan Prosciutto Croquette OMG as I write this I want them again. Very satisfied, with Great Vibes and Amazing views. I went with a friend for the first time. The service, the ambiance, the cocktails, the seafood tower...we didn't have one complaint. Everything was great. The waitress was well informed and happy to go over everything. The seafood was fresh and tasty. The cocktails were delicious and fun. Then throw in the beautiful view at sunset...perfection read more
Amazing food and ambiance. I've been here two times and this time I had the best service! I wanted to get a shout out to Jasmine, she ensures we were taken care of all night. Ambience is really nice, and the host/bartenders really walk you through all the drinks to give you an "experience" This place is definitely known for presentation more than actual flavor I would say. Everyone enjoyed the presentation of the food + drinks but they felt all their cocktails were mid (an had little to no alcohol in them) We weren't fans of the complimentary drink which I think they said is similar to a gin Paloma? (Might be wrong) it was just really sweet and taste like a too sweet lemonade I will say the yellowtail + the hummus dish were my favorites they both tasted fresh and refreshing. Honestly probably the best hummus I've ever had. Mixed reviews on the caviar frites + popcorn chicken The did have a Dj in there playing light music Overall wouldn't suggest ordering a drink, but I would suggest the yellow tail + hummus. Alexis was a fantastic bartender and server. He made fabulous drinks and made sure our evening was wonderful. He was very attentive and super friendly. I have been a fan of Castaways for 20 years. The remodel is impressive and with that came the VIP Lounge...say what?!" A speakeasy type lounge with a "secret password?" I AM IN!!! Once entering Castaway, head over to the check in counter and wait by the special door to your left. This is where the beautiful Nicole greets us with the specialty drink of the evening, a lemon vodka drink that was not too sweet. She gave us the option to sit inside the "Alice in Wonderland" themed lounge or out on the patio. There were plenty of heaters so we all chose the comfy corner sofa with a spectacular view of LA! Our very attentive server was Julia with Anton helping out. The drink menu was filled with exotic and intriguing combinations all related to movies. I ordered the "Crazy Rich Cocktail," and replaced the mezcal with regular tequila. The presentation for each drink wowed us!!! It was so much fun awaiting the arrival of each drink. The music was spot on and we all agreed that a "dance floor" would make this lounge even better!!! We were grooving in our seats. The food menu had a nice variety of appies that were tasty and a good size portion for sharing. We enjoyed sitting and chatting with the staff and the other patrons. Everyone was so nice!!! *Highly recommend making a reservation *The theme inside changes every month *Valet Parking only $9 (not a fan of valet? Y'all, this place was a VIBE!!! I had never been to The Green Room, no Castaway so the view was definitely breathtaking. We went during sunset so it was gorgeous. The music was perfect as well!! Our waitress Julia was phenomenal. We were a group of 5 and attended to all of our needs. Anton helped here and there and he was great, too! You walk in and get a complimentary vodka-lemon drink; it was SO GOOD!!! Their menu drinks are named after movies, which was awesome, but the best part? THEIR PRESENTATION. It was stunning! I tried the Green room which is actually an extension of Castaways restaurant. It's kind of like a private club feel. Has a DJ but the music isn't overly load. Ambience is chill. Service was effective. A girl Named Alexis took care of me and my daughter. She was very attentive. The menu is not the same menu as Castaways. Fantastical, whimsical, chic, and delicious! Sometimes these type of places are overhyped and just are instagrammable. But the view, food, and drinks were all wonderful! The DJ was poppin too, which made a fun night even better. Kudos to the free welcome drinks to get you going and the indoor/outdoor set up. Spacious so you don't feel crowded and comfy with all the fun niches to sit. Crowd faves of the night were definitely the sushi tacos-crunchy, fresh, and satisfying. Today was so much fun hanging out with friends first time at The Green Room Speakeasy. In the beginning I messed up with booking, I thought I booked at the green room thru castaway but I was wrong I total make a reservation at castaway instead. I found out at the front which is my fault, therefore I ask the front desk Chris is the one who help me clear that and explain to me in details. I asked him is there stay space available for party of 7? He was very nice and went check for me thank God there is and I appreciate they were able let us in. There services definitely above and beyond! As for food and drinks their presentation explain it all! Very unique in there own way and yummy for sure. Since I am DD for my group I really like their Hibiscus Kiss. Their seafood tower that is spicy is fresh and savory, if you like seafood I recommend to get that! Upon arrival we were offered a complimentary cocktail. So nice! We were sat outside on the deck with the beautiful view. Service: our server was meh. He wasn't super friendly, quite cocky (fine you do you) but have somewhat of a personality. He left midway through our time and didn't mention it, but we were taken care of much better by a nice young lady. Food: I recommend not coming here for the food: After School Snack: these are a take on pizza rolls. They are OK. Definitely not filled with much, could use some more filling. Castaway Dry-Aged Bites: these are small bits of meat on a hot stone with blue cheese on top of each bit. The streak wasn't that great. There was gristle on pieces and overall not worth the $42! Yellowtail Aguachile: this was tender and tasty Drinks: Fairest of Them All: the presentation is amazing. You have to get it just for that. The drink itself is decent, a bit sweet for my liking, but good. Three Wishes: this is a drink for two. Cute but a bit too sweet for me. The Old Fashioned: this was my favorite. It didn't have the extravagant presentation, but the flavor was so good and the bacon was a nice touch! I love a booze forward drink, so if you love a sweet drink you will like the cocktails that wow a bit better than me. I just love the presentation part and the drinks weren't bad. Overall the venue is amazing. They had a DJ and the vibe was so fun. The drinks are also so fun. But I would skip the food, at least what we ordered, it's not worth it. Comes with the charcuterie board - I opted cheese out because I'm lactose intolerant Two entrees: The terrarium - basically over priced hummus, nothing special beside the overly decorated. I've had better hummus from traders joe. Beeler Bacon Bao: my favorite, purple buns with the pork belly. However, pork is a little too fatty and overly salty. I love the salt , but husband didn't enjoy it at all. Then we got a dessert tray which includes 1 scoop of ice cream, 2 macarons, and crepe slice . I definitely have a lot of hope for the desserts after all the entrees. However it was a missed also. Crepe was dried, the scoop of ice cream was alright. Macarons was disappointing too. Overall: came for the view but don't expect to be wow by the food. Just another hyped TikTok made me go there type of place. Service was lacking . For a high end dinning, the servers were not at attentive at all. They turned on the heater because we were sitting outside. I asked if my server can turn our off because I felt like I was being burnt alive. Yes it was that hot. I was sweating. I asked her couple times and while she said she was going to turn it off for me. I was left with a burning fever , enough for us to leave as soon as we got 3 bites from our desserts . So be careful if you're sitting outside. Ambience is nice, they have a live dj but if you were to sit inside it gets pretty loud to a point you probably have to scream for other to hear you. This is located inside the castaway restaurant, it reminds me of a lounge-like spot to hang out and grab some drinks and appetizers. Our reservation was for 930 however, our dinner ended early and when we checked in at the front desk, we were then walked over to the green room lounge. FYI- we were not provided with such "secret password" and perhaps due to having a reservation...not sure... Once you walk in, they give you complimentary "gin" cocktail from a fountain and then they walk you over to your seat. We were seated in a comfy sofa, candle lit and menu right there. My friend and I were hanging out while I was ordering a few of their signature cocktails. "La Muerte" had a stiff tamarind candy, weird taste to it as I sipped through it like a straw. It tasted like a "tequila sunrise" with heavy OJ in it. I don't recommend. We also ordered the "S'mores" and when she placed the presentation down, she said she would be back to bring one more chocolate that was missing....ok? I wasn't impressed and the chocolate bar looked like it was opened...idk, it was OK...don't believe the hype... I also tried the "Tiffany Prefers cocktail" I could easily taste the alcohol in this drink and I enjoyed the presentation of it as well. The only thing I didn't like was that our waitress was trying to sneak in the bill while we were still trying to order more, my friend saw her trying to pull out the bill as I ordered another drink, which was "La Muerte" Overall, I was glad that my friend and I enjoyed our dinner with Castaway prior to making it in to this lounge. Don't come to the lounge hungry as all they offer here is appetizers, which are not worth their prices. P.S. the only outstanding highlight of this night was the DJ spinning old school hits that had me dancing in my seat. read more

Semi fancy lounge like atmosphere with gorgeous view of Los Angeles skyline. Located inside of Castaways this place is a hidden diamond in the hills. The service was excellent and the food was not bad at all. Prices can be a bit steep, but you're paying mostly for the location, the view, and the ambiance. Had a great time with our family party of six and enjoyed our food and drinks. I highly recommend getting the hot seafood tower which was surprisingly delicious. (If you like seafood). They have movie themed drinks which they serve with props on the side. Unique and fun and priced a bit higher than normal cocktails. Very unusual that they served caviar with the French fries which my sister tried to get me to try. But I don't think caviar belongs on fries. At the end of the evening we were still hungry and ended up also going to our favorite taco truck in Pasadena. Serving sizes on some of their dishes were small for some of the people in our party. I would highly recommend this place to hang out with friends for special occasions. The staff make you feel welcomed and are very attentive. read more

How do we get seating out at the patio?
Ask the host they will accommodate if there's an availability
Do they seat you when you come in or you sit yourself?
I was there last weekend, they directed us to our seating area but we got to select our table as there weren't many people there yet.
Are kids allowed?
They say they're family friendly however they don't have a kids meal and to be honest I've never seen kids in there or seen high chairs.
Do they host private events?
I understand they hold private events, up to 35 people. Must call to confirm.
Any dress code?
Yes. They ask that you wear business casual, such as a nice button up or sweater. (for men) I would say just dress nice, as you would for any fancy restaurant. No sweatshirts or flip flops.
Can you wear sneakers with slacks?
I'd say you can. There is a dress code, but it was not strictly enforced.
Are there heaters on the outdoor patio?
Yes there are, they will move them to accommodate your seating
Is this a good place for a birthday party in December for 20 people?
It's a great place for a special occasion! The view alone is worth it. Plus, the menu (especially the dessert tower) will be fun and a show stopper. Hope this helps
Do they offer cigars?
They do not. They have a dish that is made to resemble cigars, but they do not actually offer any.
Is smoking allowed outside out on the patio (cigars or cigarettes)?
I do not think so. I stepped out to the parking lot.
Is there music and dancing?
The music was excellent on a Friday evening when we visited but no dance floor on the patio but hey, a party is what you make it
