Will not be going here again. The service was mediocre at best, with the waiter seeming inconvenienced by even being there. The food seemed like they ran to Costco and just picked up some ingredients and heated them up. Poor quality hamburger patties served on nice bread to make them seem better, obviously frozen bagged French fries, burnt bacon and soggy bread. read more

My partner had a two egg breakfast, eggs cooked incorrectly, everything cold. I had a half Benedict plus avocado. The hollindase was tasty, but for nine bucks I will pass next time. What got me was that the bottom of my plate was filthy from the station and no one wiped it. No refills on coffee. Will keep going to my favorite breakfast spots. read more

The waitress who served us did not pay any attention to us, even a couple who had come after us was attended before we were. It was all so strange, and unpleasant the few times she did bother to take our order and leave the bill. Why do we have to tip if the food is mediocre, and the staff is unfriendly? Norms, I guess. We tried this place and had the backwoods Benny and California Benedict. The backwoods Benny was one of the best breakfasts of all times. We went back the following day and had it again. Only complaint was the waitress. She was not very friendly and was quite cold. It won't keep us from going back again though. read more

You have to try the bacon gravy. It's the best! Reminds me of how my Mom makes it. My favorite parts of this restaurant were the atmosphere along with the welcoming, great service from the staff. We stopped in Eureka and found this place. Wow! So good. It's in such a neat section of Eureka in an old building. The staff is super nice and the food was very fresh and delicious. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs and my wife had eggs with sausage. Both were fantastic! Will stop here again on our next trip. read more

They discriminate against the disabled. Just tried to place an order to go and they told us they were "too busy to do to go orders." Funny because we would have spent more than most people in the restaurant and tipped better. Their loss. What makes people in the restaurant any better than people picking up? Went here for lunch on the recommendation of a friend. I had the patty melt, my wife had something something something (honestly, neither of us can remember what it was) on a ciabatta roll. Quality of the food was very good, but there was nothing special about the menu--pretty much the same items you can get anywhere. Ciabatta roll appeared to come from Costco. Fries were very good. Didn't care for the amount of white upholstery on the bench seats against either side that continued from the seat back up the walls. It was somewhat glaring. Service was fast and friendly considering there appeared to be a single waitperson who also bussed the tables. read more

Definitely wouldn't have came here if it wasn't suggested by so many people I know. The outside of the building looks old and run down but definitely not inside. The inside area is definitely small felt like I was bumping elbows with the people in the booths next to me. This is our go-to spot for weendend breakfast/lunch/brunch. They are consistently good and have gluten free and vegan options. They actually make gluten free waffles, which are delicious. Their house made veggie burger is wonderful, as is their house made hollandaise sauce (which is naturally gluten free). But really you can't go wrong here, from burgers to salads to their house made soups. They also have beers on tap. Wonderful service also. You will not be disappointed. read more

Don't make the mistake of thinking this is just a breakfast spot. Go a little early or a little late to lunch, and try the French Onion Soup. I had really good French onion soup once in the Bay Area, at an actual French restaurant, and this was the same kind of wonderful, with toasted bread and cheese on top. Service was friendly. I didn't order fries, because I usually don't like them, but next time I go there, I will go with friends and share an order, because they looked and smelled wonderful, thick and golden and not at all greasy or dry. The burger buns are fresh, chewy, ciabatta rolls and they are generous with the lettuce, tomatoes, and well-chosen pickles. (I had the soup as a side to a burger, and next time I will have the soup as the main dish: the burger was good, but there are burger specialists in Eureka who do better ones--just not on those good ciabattas.) read more

Horribly disappointing breakfast. Freezing cold inside at 8 am on a weekday in April and never warmed up. Biscuits and gravy were cold, like less than even warm and comparable to Denny's. "Belgian" waffle was bare and cold. Butter wouldn't melt. No whip or anything. Bacon was Awful and cold and grease even started setting up in minutes. Coffee was Folgers. Left hungry with food on our plates. Sat outside for several minutes reading reviews deciding whether or not to eat here. We're baffled by the good reviews. I've never written a bad review even if it was bad, just no review, but this time I'm just so peeved. Its one thing to have one thing bad but everything?!
