I ordered a crispy chicken bowl and it was delicious. Fresh ingredients and good quality chicken. The service and atmosphere were good, There is indoor and outdoor seating and the space is clean.

My boyfriend found this place that had amazing reviews. We made sure to get her early because there was definitely a wait after we got there. It was a really cute spot and the food was delicious! What made everything more magical was while we were eating, it began to snow. It was so pretty! The only downside was that a pitcher for mimosas was pretty pricey over $40. Other than that, we enjoyed ourselves and got some protein in before we walked the city more!

Enjoyed a great breakfast, I got the grey dog breakfast with pancakes and sausage. Pancakes were great not too sweet and my scrambled eggs were cooked soft and not overly salty. Service was ok had to wait quite a bit for a table when the restaurant wasn't extremely busy

Pretty solid. The hash was very good, but the burger was just alright. Good option for the area! Can't complain, but not the best meal I've had. Excellent service though!

Five out of Five!!! Best French Toast ever. The raspberry syrup my goodness! I took extra to go. I wana learn how to make it. I can't go back to regular syrup lol. Eggs sausage and potatoes that came with it were amazing. Mac and cheese was ok but the fried chicken with it was delicious; crispy and flavorful. Pretty nice designa and atmosphere. And the staff were so nice and helpful in all my questions.

Highly recommend making a reservation because it was so packed! I arrived earlier than my friend and we weren't seated until she came. She was late though but they were able to seat us immediately when she did come. We got: - original breakfast: she chose pancakes and avocado - Mexican bowl: this hit the spot and was not too heavy at all

We were a group of 7 people and wanted to get a nice breakfast on a weekend morning. Luckily New York seems to be a late waking city sorta, so by arriving around 8:30am we were able to get a table right away. The place was clean, service was very friendly, and all of our plates were delicious! Highly recommended! They were also very quick to refill our coffee.

This classic omelet was fantastic extremely fluffy and paired with a side of sourdough bread and home fries, you can't go wrong. The service was excellent. I ordered an iced matcha and didn't like it, and my server took care of it for me. Overall, it was a great dining experience. The only downside is that it gets a bit cramped and busy, so be sure to make a reservation, especially if you're dining with a party of more than two .

Strolled in with a group of 4 and was able to get seated without a reservation! The place was definitely packed, so we got lucky! They have a great happy hour so we took advantage and ordered some margaritas and apps to share. Standout apps include the spinach artichoke dip and the street corn!

$8 drinks & $9 bites 4-6:30 pm everyday! 6 locations across NYC. Ambiance is cozy with moody lighting (but not dark) and the service was efficient. Didn't get to try the food but the drinks were solid and for that price!! Unheard of in NYC. Will be back here & the other locations forever probably (and to try the food next time).

I recently went to The Grey Dog (my friend made a reservation for breakfast) and overall had a pretty mixed experience. On the positive side, we were seated relatively quickly, the food was really good, the prices felt reasonable, and everything came out fast. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the food. There were a few downsides though. The biggest issue at first was the waiting situation. There really isn't much of a waiting area, so while waiting to be seated, you're kind of crammed next to people actively eating. Since it was raining, waiting outside wasn't ideal either. We tried standing in the space behind the host stand and were immediately asked to move, which is fair, but it definitely highlighted the lack of space. Service was also a little inconsistent. The sugar wasn't already on the table, so we had to wait a bit to flag someone down for it. Not a huge deal, but a small detail that would've helped. We also got bottomless coffee, but our waiter rarely checked in. Another server eventually asked if we wanted refills when we were basically already done eating, which felt a little late. What honestly changed the experience for me though was an interaction with one of the hostesses. I got up to find the bathroom and while I was walking, one of the hosts (wearing pink) was walking extremely close behind me with another group she was seating. It felt awkward enough that I instinctively stopped and asked, "Sorry, is the bathroom this way?" and she just responded very flatly with "yup." No friendliness whatsoever. It was just a really uncomfortable interaction and the energy felt oddly dismissive. Thankfully, another hostess in a striped sweater noticed and kindly pointed out where the bathroom was, which I appreciated. Before that interaction, I honestly was willing to overlook the cramped waiting situation because I genuinely liked the food and atmosphere. But customer service really matters to me, and that interaction left a weird impression. It just felt unnecessarily cold and uncomfortable. I'd probably still come back for the food(maybe a different location?), but I do think the front-of-house experience could use some improvement.

Grey dog is always a reliable spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Food here is consistently good. Decorations are great here and there is some outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Wait staff is attentive and friendly.

Hip, trendy, minimalist brick, cramped, really loud and uncomfortable seating.........with really good all day breakfast/brunch offerings. To be fair, I'm a mature adult former New Yorker who likes creature comforts, spacious, with great food and acceptable service. This was a party of 7 with a reservation on a busy Saturday AM. Not the best place for a conversation with people you haven't seen in a while due to noise and cramped. Particularly offensive was they are dog friendly and not restricted to service dogs only. Adjacent table was being seated with a non-service talk that was jumping on the table and not well behaved. Do you really want to eat off a table that a dog was jumping on? With that said the food was very good, but this place would not be one, if given the choice, I would return to.

Reservations open 2 weeks in advance around 10am and they go super fest so I recommend you try for the day you need as for me I could only have gotten brunch on a Sunday. Those people spam the crap out of their buttons for the dinner spots and when I went I can see why. The place is brimming with old school New York charm and it's completely overwhelmingly beautiful and has an old jazzy vibe to it. It's large and spacious and they sat us in the middle of the entire restaurant. (I had a group of 6) The vibe was so good you don't really want to leave and they also don't really kick you out. I think we were the last ones to exit for brunch but they were so nice they didn't kick us out. Their espresso martinis are ok. It wasn't as amazing as a regular cocktail bar but it is just ok. We started off with a shrimp cocktail, smoked whitefish Caesar salad and the two plates of truffle monkey bread which was soooo good. I really enjoyed this as it's the main reason we came here. It's almost like a honey dinner roll with truffle. We got everything next which some people got their own and some shared. Some people got their own American breakfast platter which was some overdone eggs and a meat with gigantic toast and if you only order scrambled eggs it comes in a bowl but I would much rather order their classics like steak sandwich and the spicy shrimp was pretty good! Fries are top tier! I can see why people just come here for dinner. I would give it mostly 5 stars for the overall ambiance and environment and a few classics. I think their old fashioned is better than their espresso martinis though even though it looks so good in this type of setting! It's hard to get a reservation though so next time I'll need to try some new things if I score another!

Friedman is an absolute must-visit if you are looking for an incredible burger in NYC. I honestly…read moredid not expect to be this impressed, but this ended up being one of the best burgers I have ever had -- and quite possibly the best burger of my life. I ordered the burger with cheese, and everything about it was perfect. The burger itself was THICK, incredibly juicy, and cooked beautifully. You could immediately tell that the meat was high quality, and knowing that they use Creekstone beef made it even better. The flavor was rich and beefy without being overwhelming, and every bite was incredibly satisfying. The patty had that perfect combination of a beautifully cooked exterior while still being extremely juicy and tender inside. And the bread deserves its own paragraph! The brioche-style bun was excellent. It was soft, slightly buttery, and substantial enough to hold the thick patty without falling apart or becoming soggy. It complemented the burger perfectly rather than taking away from the meat. The combination of the juicy Creekstone beef, melted cheese, and that excellent brioche-style bread was honestly phenomenal. What really stood out to me was how substantial the burger was. This wasn't one of those thin burgers where you finish it and immediately feel like you could eat another one. It was thick, hearty, juicy, and incredibly flavorful. Every bite felt like you were getting exactly what you want from a great burger. The fries were also excellent. I really appreciated that they weren't overly fried or greasy. They had a great texture and were crispy without feeling heavy or excessively oily. Sometimes fries can completely overwhelm a meal because they're so fried, but these were much more balanced and paired perfectly with the burger. Overall, Friedman absolutely exceeded my expectations. The burger, especially with the cheese, was outstanding, the Creekstone beef was incredibly flavorful, the brioche-style bun was excellent, and the fries were the perfect accompaniment. If you're in NYC and love burgers, this is a must-go-to. I would absolutely order this burger again and would highly recommend Friedman to anyone looking for a thick, juicy, high-quality burger. Easily one of the best burgers I've ever

Aside from that, we had a fantastic experience here at Friedmans Herald Square near Penn Station. The atmosphere is super sweet and cozy. The restaurant was empty when we first walked in, but the second we sat down, it completely packed up! The waiter was very friendly, and even though they weren't able to split the check at the table, they did provide an itemized receipt to make figuring it out easy. The food was great overall--the Mac & Cheese bites and the corn were especially good! We also tried the cheesecake and molten cake. Plus, the neighbors sitting next to us were so sweet. A wonderful spot with a fun vibe!

But to my surprise, the host was able to seat me at their community table within just a couple of minutes. What a relief! Now, onto the important part -- the food. I started with a ginger lime soda, which was refreshing and the perfect way to kick things off. For my appetizer, I went with the whipped ricotta, and wow, it was creamy, light, and absolutely divine. For my main course, I ordered the chicken parmesan with homemade vodka sauce-doused pasta, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the sauce was flavorful, and the homemade pasta elevated the whole dish to another level. Everything was absolutely fabulous. The whole time I was eating, I kept watching the waiters bring out dish after dish from the kitchen, and honestly, everything looked incredible. I was kicking myself for coming solo -- I wish I had been there with a group so we could have ordered more and shared! This is definitely a place you want to come to with friends so you can try a little bit of everything. I also have to shout out the service -- it was fast and attentive without ever being pushy. My server checked in at all the right moments and never made me feel rushed. It's that perfect balance where you feel well taken care of but can still enjoy your meal at your own pace. The ambiance is really fun and cool without being pretentious or overly trendy. I never felt out of place, which I really appreciated. It's the kind of spot where you can dress up or keep it casual and still feel right at home. One small note -- the lighting is on the darker side, so if you're someone who is sensitive to dim lighting, just be aware of that. Personally, I thought it added to the vibe. And can we talk about the prices? For New York City, this place is surprisingly reasonable, especially for Midtown. You're getting high-quality, delicious Italian food without the sticker shock that so many NYC restaurants come with. Bottom line: La Pecora Bianca is delicious, welcoming, and well-priced.
