Basically, if your here to drink and play pool, this is your place. If your here to try food, not a good place. The waiter or waitress typically spends more time tending bar and the food takes about 30 minutes to get to you. And forget about getting your drink refilled if you aren't at the bar. I'm so happy to have this site to rate this place. I've had the WORST experience EVER with customer service at this place. I ordered a steak medium rare to go and when I got it, it was a thin piece of well done meat. I called the restaurant and explained to them of the over cooked steak and they said they'd make a new one. My husband went to pick it up and they accused us of microwaving the steak! They said they would NEVER cook a steak like that...now I've been to some of the best steak houses in the country and even they get it wrong occasionally, so for him to say that was ridiculous. Anyway, they continued to say that they wouldn't make us a new steak and they wouldn't give us a refund either. They were extremely rude and completely unprofessional. My husband left extremely mad. We contacted the manager the next day and we got a refund. But even she proceeded to ask him if " there was any way we microwaved the steak"..what would be the point in microwaving a steak, then taking our time and trying to get a new one? They lost us as customers and being local I will continue to tell people of our horrible experience. All over a steak! I've never been to any reputable restaurant that conducted business the way they do. Please save your time and money and don't support places like this. I normally don't eat at hotel restaurants because experience has proven that they are normally not that good. However, I decided to try it at the The Grill (Grandview Hotel - Wasilla, AK) and am astounded at the taste and quality of their food! Their steak is thick, juicy and always done perfectly. It is much better than 'The Outback' and other such steak places. It came with well-seasoned, tender potatoes, Brussel Sprouts & a salad. I'm used to places scrimping on their salad, many times only getting lettuce & tomatoes. My salad had lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, & cheese! I have never been disappointed by their food. In fact, I much prefer their food to rival restaurants! The chef takes obvious care and pride in his dishes and it shows! I greatly appreciate the great service and great food! Sat in the bar area of The Grill. Good atmosphere. It wasn't very busy so our service was pretty quick. The chicken wings were good and the burger was good. The prices were a little high. They have a full bar and lots of beer on tap. We will probably go back sometime! read more

Our group of 5 stopped in for dinner before a show. This place is super clean, to include the restrooms! There was a pool tournament going on however our food was still out in about 15 minutes. Everything was exactly as ordered, tasted fantastic, and the portions were huge! No-one left hungry. We'll for sure go back. read more

This place could be great. When I say that I mean if there was more then one waitress working the floor. There was more then 50 people, all ordering food and drinks that she was taking orders for and delivering. It wasn't her fault service was slow and she was on top of it when she was able to take our order. She recommended the potato skins for an appetizer and they were delicious. We also ordered the calamari, it was decent but the dipping sauces were less then desirable. Though the green sauce was absolutely disgusting. I ordered the bbq chicken wrap with sweet potato fries and everything was amazing, down to the presentation and taste. My husband ordered the ribeye cut and it was absolutely pitiful. He said the highlight of his meal was the bacon in the Brussels sprouts, which is sad since they charge 33$ for that cut. Zero flavor, it might as well have been boiled in a pot of water and grilled for 1 min for grill marks. The only reason I didn't offer more stars was because they shouldnt even pretend to be a steak establishment when they seem to have the pub food on lock. This place is now "The Grill" and not a good choice. The prices are high and the food is poor at best . The fish and chips was all batter, no fish, and 7/8 of the plate was french fries. Where's the fish??? Greasy, fried bar food...from the appetizers to the burgers. Not a fan. For the price of a salad, I could have walked out of Fred Myer's with enough to make 10 salads of the same size for the same price. Go somewhere else. read more

Came in on a Monday, wasn't too busy but they had quite a fee people playing darts and pool, the service was quick had a few appetizers, loved the potstickers! Had a barbecue bacon burger, didn't know burgers stood so tall haha, really good flavor and juicy, will definitely be back soon on a weekend for karaoke read more

Stopped in on Friday night because the place was recommended by a friend. Who knew there was such a hidden gem here in Wasilla. I had the Ribeye and it was done to absolute perfection. Such great flavor! They definitely know what their doing. They also had karaoke which was fun. Then they had a bunch of people doing a hot wings challenge Great fun to watch. This place is good for a few drinks. I went there a few days ago. It was a Friday evening. About 10 people there. There was a bit of an issue with the waiter (s), first one came up asked if we wanted drinks. We were unsure what they had, so we wanted to look. He brought waters. With no return for a bit. Another waiter came up and got us squared away. Super nice, and accommodating. I ordered the quesadilla, and it was awful. The only good thing were the fries. I ate half a slice of it and was finished. My friend ordered nachos, it was uneatable. Due to the sauce, no chicken on it and over all really awful. We also ordered two shots. I had whiskey and she stuck with tequila. Needless to say BOTH our shots were super smooth. No sting, as in watered down. I love whiskey over beer, or any other liquor. I know how this particular whiskey should taste. It was watered down. As with the tequila. Needless to say I do not suggest going here. Don't waste your time/money. read more

I've eaten here a few times and I can't say it was remarkable. Most people come for the bar and smoke free karaoke, the food not so much.

The prime rib had no flavor came out way to fast and rare not medium rare stopped eating when I tasted something sour in the meat hence the special was going bad and I paid 32$ for it I can not find good food in Wasilla read more
