I think breakfast sandwiches are the epitome of convenient breakfast foods!!! My go-to is the Croissant Sandwich and this place makes it sooo guuuddd! We ordered two (pretty big) delicious egg and cheese croissant sandwiches. (They're not the menu but you can request an egg sandwich either from their English muffin or croissant, so order whatchu want, we did! ;) The croissant was puffy and crispy, the cheese oooey-gooey goodness, and the egg -airy yet perfectly cooked which made everything just melt in your mouth. We also ordered the almond croissant and it was toasty, nutty and sweet lol ;) The ice coffee was on hit along with the sugar-free caramel macchiato. In the search for a local cacao beverage to no avail, I ended up @ the Grind to experience a very tasty Half-Caf Vegan Mocha. And while placing the order I discovered a fully stuffed vegan breakfast burrito which was very delightful. Had I known the burrito was filled with fresh produce, I would have considered splitting it in half for a 2nd meal. Great portion @ a GREAT price! The establishment was spacious, tidy, and well-staffed. The customer service was prompt and efficient. Although Cacao wasn't on the menu it was refreshing to see the the clerk open to the idea as he wanted to know what ingredients were essential in producing the product. read more

My go to is their Caramel Creme Brule & their egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant with garlic butter. They also have a lavender white mocha that is unique in flavor and a must try! I've had this place twice and it is so good. The first time i tried their chicken garlic sandwich and jolly rancher lemonade, AMAZING! The second time i didn't see the chicken sandwich on the menu anymore but tried their sun dried tomato croissant and added sausage. I didn't get sun dried tomatoes, just regular tomatoes. But the sandwich was still very good, hopefully next time i can have it with the sun dried tomatoes. I also ordered the lavender white mocha, so delicious! I was really excited to try this place especially since they are black owned. I really wish I could give more stars, but the organization is terrible. I ordered 2 food items and 2 drinks and it took 45 minutes for me to get my order. I saw people who ordered after me get their drinks first. They need better organization and communication to make sure that things like this don't happen. read more

I've popped in a couple times so far at this cute cafe on my way to work. Walking in I was greeted right away. They are so courteous & welcoming. It's very clean and decorated simply. They offer a vast array of coffee and tea drinks, and there's a good selectIon of food and pastries. I got a few different types of iced coffee with flavor and they were all yummy. I also had the apple fritter and bread pudding - DELISH! I really like the service they offer, and the drinks and pastries I had were wonderful. I will be returning for sure! read more

Decided to give this a place a try since I was in the area, and I sure am glad that I did. This is a great little cafe with delicious coffee, an extremely friendly staff, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I was surprised that they had nitro cold brew, so naturally I ordered a 16oz cup to see what it was like. It did not disappoint. Bold and creamy, and certainly strong enough to give you the jolt you're looking for. The staff here are all really nice and helpful. I chatted with someone who I assume is an owner, and they informed me that they are considering doing an egg nog nitro cold brew. I really hope that they manage to pull that off, because it sounds incredible. Space is really cozy, and there is plenty of seating to go along with free wifi. Definitely one of my favorite local spots that I have stumbled upon recently, and I cannot wait to come back. read more

Friendly staff efficient wait time they did get better on the wait time. we came here awhile ago got the breakfast burrito it was sooo delicious we had been craving it and finally came to get another, one sausage and one bacon and it was completely different, not sure what happened but it was a different burrito all together smaller skimpy no potatoes and just a glob of sour cream and un melted cheese we didn't even finish it we were super sad not sure if we will be back I've noticed a big change in places around vallejo the consistency always falls off I hope they bounce back wtvr is going on read more

Staff is super friendly. But the prices are pretty high. I usually spend $12-$17 on each visit. I usually order a regular coffee and something to eat. I love supporting little mom and pop shops. But spending that kind of money every time I visit it's too rich for my blood. read more

I don't want to give a super bad review because it is a local business but the chicken garlic sandwich and the horchata iced coffee was bad. The horchata iced coffee was super sweet, so if you are someone that enjoys drinks that are extremely sweet this might be for you. As you can see, this is the chicken garlic sandwich that didn't even have garlic and the bread was drenched in butter. I'll be trying other items in the future to another chance. read more

First time I came here. Waited 30 minutes for two sandwiches. And no, it was not busy at all. When I went to go ask the same girl who took our order, she didn't even remember she just took our order and come to find out, they didn't even have the order ready. THEY DIDNT EVEN START! Dude said the printer ain't working in the back... So apparently you're aware the printer not working, how come y'all don't have a better system as a temporary fix like call out the order after it's ordered. So yeah we waited there for 30 minutes. A recommendation would be for staff to have better communication with the patrons, "did you need anything else? You guys doing okay over here?" They see us waiting but don't even bother, we won't be standing there for 30 minutes for nothing. Pretty disappointed in the level of service. We watched four people that were behind us in line walk out with their food as we waited. Ridiculous. Finally got two croissants after 45 minutes. We were the only customers there. Let me start off by saying I had actually tried The Grind's coffee back in late August 2020 and it was good, but the lavender in the white mocha was pretty strong in my opinion. This time around I ordered a bacon breakfast burrito and a caramel blended drink. Omg, both were DELICIOUS. I could actually taste the coffee in the drink and the burrito tasted fresh and homemade. I was waiting for jury duty and stopped in just as they were opening. They were super friendly and welcoming. For customer service alone I would give them 10 stars if possible. I purchased a house blend coffee and a sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Both were delicious! The sandwich was perfectly made and very flavorful, especially the cheddar cheese. The coffee had a great aroma and flavor, far superior to anything at Starbucks. And the ambiance and decor is pleasant and welcoming. The music was enjoyable, melodic and just the right volume to listen yet not interfere with conversation. They apologized for the delay because they were just opening, but they were faster than Starbucks or other coffee shops are normally. They take orders by phone if you're in a hurry. I have only gone in this business 2 or 3 times since it has changed management from the first owner. I have been unhappy with the service and the food, The ambiance was there before they took over. The first time I went back in They forgot my order. Everyone else was taken care of. They had to come and ask what my order was again AFTER they had finished filling everyone else's orders in the store. I had already waited over 15 minutes and I'm sorry to say that the food wasn't even worth eating. The next time I came in I was the only person in the store. I had to yell to see if they were even open. I asked for a plain bagel. Waited about 10 minutes for my burnt bagel with so much cream cheese on it I could have had cream cheese for at least 4 bagels. Had to throw that out also. Who likes burned bagels? I will not be going here again. It is not worth the money or the effort. read more
