9/20/2025 - Party of 4. No reservations. We were told about 20 minutes. We walked upstairs to their rooftop bar and patio. Our waiter was excellent, very friendly and polite. We had 3 sangrias, and a rosemary sweet tea. We received a text that our table was ready so we cashed out upstairs . We sat and looked over the food menu. Our server, Juliana came out and greeted us. We told her we needed a few minutes to look over the menu. She was gone for quite sometime. After she came back, I ordered chicken and waffles and my friend ordered a quiche. We did not see our server for the longest time, I got up and ordered two sangrias from the bartender. She told me "I don't like taking money from the servers, I'll find out who the server is and I'll send them over" which I thought was odd. I wasn't going to open a separate check. I was just having her make the drinks for us and putting them under our tab. Our food arrived, The waffle had no taste and was overcooked. The chicken tenders were ok. They gave us a small container of syrup. The plate was so plain. I had a taste of the quiche and it just tasted store bought, very bland. The server finally shows up and tells us the sangrias are coming. We finished our meal. The drinks were brought by someone else. We told her we were done with our meal and we did not want them. Our check was brought by someone else. Basically our table was forgotten. Absolutely the worst brunch. Both food and service. DO NOT RECOMMEND. It is not worth the hype at all!!!!
We stopped here while shopping and regret it. We were so hopeful that it would be good since it had a cute rooftop. However, were so disappointed. The place is dirty. There is mold on the bathroom ceiling, the floors had food all over them, the walls are super scuffed up, and the floors were sticky. The food... well, the guacamole was completely brown, the salsa looked like it had sat out for days, and the pineapple on our drinks had mold on it. Therefore, we didn't end up eating the chips and salsa or the drinks. Therefore chicken and fries were decent and the waitress was kind. However, we would not recommend going here.
Found the Grove while exploring Savannah on a Monday before work meetings. We found the rooftop and were the only customers which made the experience more pleasant. We initially sat out on the patio but it started to rain so we moved inside. Drinks and food was all good, and our server/bartender was friendly and gave us some tips on places we could visit during our trip. I would go back if I lived here, a nice causal spot downtown with a nice view and cozy ambiance.
We made a reservation for brunch which didn't seem necessary once we were in there but we also got there right when it opened. They wouldn't seat me until my husband was also there, which was annoying given the fact that no one else was even here. Service was fine, she did the deed well. This seemed like a cute spot for you to come with your girlfriends and do brunch, very bright and simple...Martha Stewart's vineyard vibes. Everything was done very well, the waffle and potatoes were delish. My husband said the breakfast sandwich was good too!
A great place to sit on the rooftop on a nice night! The rooftop menu had just what we were looking to eat for dinner. The waitstaff also frequently checked in with us throughout our experience.
Yes, we were a large group, but we also had orders in BEFORE we got to the location. Even with that, the wait was painful. The MAHI TACOS - Three wild-caught mahi tacos drizzled in a brown sugar jerk sauce, topped with a pineapple relish and cilantro lime cream sauce were actually decent enough to make for a two-star review rather than a one.
I've been to The Grove in Savannah many times and usually have a great experience, which is why this visit was so disappointing. We went to the rooftop on Sunday when it wasn't busy. It took about 20 minutes for our server to greet us, which we didn't mind. However, his attitude immediately stood out. He was dismissive, rude in tone, and REPEATEDLY walked away mid-sentence while we were speaking. After checking our IDs, his demeanor noticeably shifted. We are of legal drinking age, but it felt like we were treated differently because we were younger. As someone who is ServSafe Manager certified and has worked in the service industry for years, I know how important guest interaction and basic courtesy are. This was not handled appropriately at all. He carried himself as if he were running the place, which felt very off-putting given how we were being treated. He was the oldest server working on the rooftop, so it was very clear who he was. After checking our IDS, His demeanor made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, which is not something we've ever experienced here before. We've always enjoyed coming to The Grove, so this was surprising and disappointing. I hope this was just a one-off experience and not reflective of their usual standard. wouldn't mind paying $16 for a drink if the service was at least halfway decent...
A beautiful rooftop. Terrible drinks - we ordered the Rosemary Sweet Tea and 2 Pink Parodies. Both drinks were not good. The atmosphere was fine. Weather was perfect. Service wasn't bad, they were busy. We left as quickly as possible.
I ordered the charcuterie board and Cajun Angels to go. The Cajun Angels were delicious and definitely the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the charcuterie board was extremely disappointing, especially for the price. At over $27, I expected an actual assortment of cheeses, but instead I received what were essentially large pieces of cheese rind with very little edible cheese. There was also no fruit, nuts, or other accompaniments that are typically included on a charcuterie board--just a few slices of meat, bread, and dipping sauces. It felt incomplete and nowhere near worth the cost.
Rooftop hoppin!! We came to check out the view and grab a few cocktails as we enjoyed Savannah during a recent trip. Kept it simple with a Don Julio Reposado and a Ketel One lime and tonic to refresh us. Alejandro at the bar was friendly and great and the vibe on the actual rooftop was chill. Convinced us to also try the summer Capri pouches which were refreshing and gave a great buzz. We didn't do food, but when you enter from the main entrance, lots of people were grabbing lunch. We even stopped by a bit later to see what the evening was like and it stayed busy with traffic so assuming the traditional menu of food was good.
Stopped in at The Grove on a Saturday afternoon to watch March Madness. Great set up with a nice bar in front of a large screen TV. Very friendly service! Great stop!
Cool place. Service wasn't great from the start. Also, ordered a $8 mocktail and added a shot of casamigos which equaled $23 (no itemized receipt). That's fine but, my drink had a bug in it as soon as I sat down. When I showed the bartender & asked if I could have a new one, she said it was the risk of sitting outside? (I was holding the drink the entire time so it was pretty obviously in the pineapple juice can or something.) For $23, kinda wild. *Edited to add stars* manager and downstairs staff were great & made me a complementary to go drink!
I definitely want to come back here to try their food! But we came here at night time to hang out at the roof top bar. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! They had music playing and amazing drinks! The bartenders were so friendly and really fast at getting drinks! The atmosphere was amazing and fun and hip! read more

No Mothers Day Specials, No physical menu so if you can't get wifi you will be SOL, and No offer of dessert... hmm but good atmosphere. Not in photos is sliders, wings, tacos and fried shrimp burger with a very good portion of avocado. Good but a lot of breading on the burger, and wings were good but not $16 worth. Desserts ordered separately. If your the rooftop, you must order from the Bar or no service. You have to move the trash cans coming up and down from the 3rd floor if you take the elevator. Ew and fire hazard. All good and on par but not a repeat for the price. No "wow" factor. read more
We were in Savannah for 4 days and this place the the best restaurant we ate at the entire time we were there. The dinner, atmosphere, staff and location were fantastic! HIGHLY recommend the Grilled Cobia and the Hummingbird Cake (trust me you'll want to save room for that dessert!) read more

Wonderful service we started at the rooftop bar and ordered A drink and it was delicious tasted of rosemary tea and honey waited on our table down stairs and got the notification that it was ready we ordered the hummus as a starter and it was delicious the pita chips were just right and the vegetable accompanying was a great addition. We didn't wait long for our entrees . We ordered the grilled Cobia and the grouper both were cooked to perfection and the sides were delicious. We also ordered the honey jalapeño fries for a additional side and they were delicious as well . Great atmosphere and great service round out the whole experience. We will come back again for another visit read more

This is a decent restaurant. The atmosphere is great and nothing terrible about our experience just not worth the hype to me. Not many items in the menu but the food we got was good. Pictures is the granola bowl and monte Cristo in the corner. They didn't have hot teas or lattes? Only got coffee, maybe soemthing they should add?? Overall good experience but little things they can fix. read more

Perfect for a mid day snack!!! The staff was extremely sweet and friendly! We ordered the Mango Habanero wings and Honey Jalapeño drizzle fries! They had just the right amount of heat! COVID-19 requirements- the restaurant was extremely clean, tables were spread out and all staff were wearing mask. Mask were required when entering and exiting. read more

Bar review only: Stumbled upon this bar. Was enticed by the bright decorations and Rihanna songs that we could see/hear around the block. Not too many outdoor tables/seatings but very open. Bartender was super nice and the drinks were perfect. Highly recommend! read more

I wanted to love this place considering the pictures and previous reviews, but it was only okay. It is a well decorated place with sweet employees. Our server, Kendra, was very helpful and attentive. However, I wasn't impressed with the food. I had the Cajun Angels which was a little too salty to eat. The Brussels were described as crispy but they were burnt. The saving grace was the charcuterie board which was perfectly presented and perfectly paired. I just wish the other food I had was enjoyable. It was raining so we couldn't experience the rooftop which is the main reason we were drawn to it. read more

Three stars because I didn't like the experience at first . Our waiter quickly redeem them . I would give him five stars Alone . Very funny person and he was down to earth . He was even a fellow libra . He made sure we were comfortable. I ordered the tacos . They came out looking amazing. That's was a plus . However i didn't like the taste of the slaw on the tacos. *just a review of drinks* I'm a local and this place is my go-to for starting or ending my night! The happy hour deals are out of this world. The central location and extensive menu are what keep me coming back! The Grove has multiple floors that give it the ability to host large groups. The inside decor is so modern and cute -- perfect for bachelorette pictures! I send a lot of friends and company here for a stop. Check out the rooftop-- there are large couches for groups. Absolutely so cute up there!!! read more

We arrived in Savannah a little after 5 and did not have plans to meet friends for food until after 10pm. So needless to say we were hungry. After searching a few websites and just scrolling around Apple Maps we found The Grove...and we were happy we did! We were greeted by friendly staff and a bright clean atmosphere. The reviews I read spoke of the rooftop seating but we elected to sit inside. The atmosphere has a beachy almost South Beach feel with the white wooden plank walls, black and white palm tree photos and bright aqua colored chairs. But it also has that southern porch feel. Our server, Angie, was very attentive and friendly right off the bat. We chose two cocktails to start. I choose The Cooler, which was a delicious mix of grapefruit vodka, orange juice, soda and muddled basil. It was sweet with the sour of citrus and refreshing. My partner chose The Grove Mule and said it was very good as well. We both decided on salads so as to save room for later. I ordered the Caprese with added grilled shrimp. This was served with thick generous slices of tomato and fresh mozzarella. The shrimp was slightly blacked and grilled to perfection. And I mean perfection. I'm a huge seafood fan and these were not over cooked at all, which is far to common most places. My partner went for The Southern Salad with citrus vinaigrette and a side of Crispy Brussel Sprouts and Bacon. The salad was a refreshing take on a chef salad and the dressing was bright and clean tasting. You can't go wrong with crispy Brussels sprouts and bacon! Overall the enjoyed this spot and it has made it on our list of must stops now when we return to Savannah! read more

Swung by their rooftop for a glass of wine on a Sunday evening. Service was very disappointing. Our table was not wiped down when the last group got up (it's coronavirus times people!), but we were told to sit and wait for our server. Literally sat there for 10min waiting, ended up ordering a glass of wine from the bar. When she finally came and we asked about food allergy restrictions, she wasn't thorough in her answer (which was discouraging and made us not order any food), and then ignored our request for the check so we went to pay at the bar. Disappointing because the vibe on the rooftop was otherwise lovely and the woman singing & playing guitar that night was fantastic too. I could see it being a much better experience with the right server. read more

The grove Is a 3-level restaurant and bar/club combo. During the day it is an elegant restaurant on the first level with bar and rooftop bar on third level with bar snacks. At night all three levels turn into bars and club vibes. The food, service, drinks and entertainment are all amazing! This place has it all for all kinds of people and social gatherings! It is big and fun and also has great cocktails, views, and atmosphere! We come here all the time and highly recommend! read more

I found The Grove from a few Savannah influencers as they claimed it to be one of the best brunch spots in Savannah and quickly made reservations! We are so glad we did as it was a great experience! Our waitress was very nice and we had great service. The cocktails were quite tasty as well as the food. The main downstairs dinning room is a lot cleaner and nicer ambiance wise than the rooftop which has the same menu. The one comment we thought was a little awkward was the downstairs booths face each other so another table was seated right next to us and we practically stared at them as we ate. I would definitely recommend stopping in for lunch, a great spot! read more

Let me just say how much we LOVED this place. We came to Savannah for my bachelorette weekend from out of state , and we came here every single day for drinks and food!!. BUCK the bartender is the reason we kept coming back -- amazing service and a great guy!!! We had a great experience with Andrew as our server/bartender on the rooftop during the day, even when he was slammed with customers!! The only reason I did not give 5 stars was due to the horrendous and repulsive service we received on the rooftop bar on our last evening in town from a woman bartender (we did not bother to get her name) who spoke down to us and seemingly intended to ignore us for absolutely no reason at all. We were very upset as we have been spending money on food, drinks, and tipping generously here all weekend long. Other than that, would 100% return, especially if Buck is working at the downstairs bar! read more
Went here a while back for a birthday dinner! Had a part of 10. They did a fairly good job with getting us seated (we did make a reservation). The table was cute with cozy bench seating. Our server was super attentive. We had an assortment of beverages. The long drink was super fruity and flavorful. Would recommend. Around the table, we had the hummus platter , the ribeye, Parmesan pasta ( homemade pasta , yum!) and the tacos. Everyone was overall satisfied . Was a bit on the pricier end. They do also have a pretty cool roof top. Would probably return to try out some other things! read more

Wonderful service by Madison I believe. She was working on the rooftop bar. Super friendly and great service. Also a live band on the top of the patio in the corner. It got super packed. Her service as a bar tender was amazing. The green tea shots also great. read more

Good for kids?
I don't think so, especially not at dinner. It's more of a bar with food and loud music than a restaurant.
How are they handling COVID-19?
The staff is wearing masks and their tables are cleaned after each group of customers. Their downstairs is spaced apart already so feel they have decent separation. Upstairs bar is spaced apart as well and feel you will feel safe there
Is it pet friendly?
I didn't SEE any outdoor seating, so probably not🤷♀️best to call and ask it was March when I was there, perhaps they do have outdoor seating in the summer?
