I've only been here twice because I try to avoid this area in Myrtle Beach because of the insane traffic in the Carolina Pines section of RT 501. The restaurant and bar have funny signs hanging on the walls and the place has a fun feel to it. The servers have always been friendly and efficient. They fall short with their food though. At least what I've tried here. This last time, I had an Atlantic Flounder Sandwich which wasn't seasoned very well. The bread and lettuce basically took over the entire sandwich and the fish played second fiddle. I probably won't come back here for lunch but I'd definitely come back for a few beers. read more

We were on a golf trip and wanted to get out so tried the Monk. Over all it was very good. We sat at the bar talked to the locals, they were all very nice and had great recommendations. If you are on a golf trip make sure you leave the condos and take in local food! I had the fish sandwich and it was cooked very well and crispy. If you are offended by bones don't get it.... Visiting Myrtle Beach and this restaurant was in the same lot as our hotel. The food was ok , a bit pricey but it was tourist season in MB. The staff on the other hand is great, they seemed a bit overwhelmed and understaffed but what place isn't these days? Stopped here while we were in town for a quick visit. Was surprised and delighted to see sushi on the menu! It was really good too! Went to Happy Hour. We sat in the bar area. The service was great and the prices were good but the food quality was just ok, it used to be much better. The Garlic-Parm boneless chicken wings were disappointing. I didn't taste any garlic and there was a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese. The sushi didn't hold up very well for dipping. 1.5 hour wait to get table. Over an hour wait for food that was already cold. Sugar rim instead of salt Rim for 2/2. Instead of replacing the drink he just brought an empty cup with salt around it. Asked Damien, server to take some of our dirty dishes and he was so annoyed he ended up spilling water on one of our party and didn't bother to apologize. It was already in 18% gratuity for a 7-person table so I guess he wasn't worried about anything. No management coming around to see how everything was. First and last time there. The best part of the evening was the fireworks which wasn't even part of the restaurant. It was just a good location for the fireworks FYI: read on a post the following...". The restaurant has the policy that staff members can add gratuity to groups of 8 or more". Interesting we were charged 18% when we had a table of 7 and owner stated policy for groups of 8 or more. read more

Our server was great, and the food was delicious! And our wait time was spot on what they quoted us! We also loved the live entertainment.

I have been here multiple times since it is my parents favorite happy hour location. There is a good amount of beer and food variety which makes this place an easy choice if you have a bigger (and indecisive) group. There is plenty of parking located in the back of the restaurant and there is indoor and outdoor seating. Once you walk in you see a waterfall made with beer taps, which is pretty cool! We've ordered almost everything on the menu, from their delicious apps, to sushi, and sandwiches. I don't think I've had anything that I was disappointed with. I also enjoy their large and colorful beer selection. The reason I deducted a star is because the service can be a little hit or miss. We've been here and had great service and then there were times when waiters had attitudes or are forgetful. I won't let that stop me from coming in for now, but I hope to have more positive experiences in the future. read more

We were seated quickly, our server was friendly, and the restaurant was very eclectic. I ordered the Rodeo Burger and coleslaw. The burger was slightly overdone, but otherwise tasty. I really did not want to write this, really. But I waited long enough and have been scammed out of additional money twice now. I came here on 11/24, the night before Thanksgiving. I ordered some sushi rolls with my friends and family. We ordered food for 4 people and requested separate checks for each item, as our groups were dating. We waited an incredibly long time for our first order, which I understand 100% due to labor shortages (pay workers more maybe?) but it became bizarre after 45 minutes of waiting that we finally got our food. And oh boy... The sushi tasted like dog food play-doh. There I said it. I'm not happy that I have to describe it that way, but that's how it was. The sushi chef came over asking us what the problem was (some bald guy), and after we explained that my fiancé couldn't finish her sushi because of the taste, he says, and I quote, "...well, we want to make sure you guys have a good experience with us, let me remake anything you don't like, because you are paying for the food". We sat there stunned. Finally the checks came. And they came all wrong. We had to ask out server 3 times to please change items off our bill before the manager got involved, and even then they just could not manage. The technology just isn't there yet, to move items from one bill to another. We waited an hour until we said just forget it, we can't sit and wait any longer. So I called and asked them to please remove to items off my bill. 3 managers confirmed they would take care of it. And they never did, for about a month. And today, on December 18th 2021, I received another charge from them. I'm over 1000 miles away. Of course I need to dispute it. Could you imagine a restaurant promising you 4 separate times that they will take the price of items you never ordered off your bill, wait a month, AND THEN CHARGE YOU AGAIN? Now I have to do a chargeback. I'm so sorry, but I wasted so much time and effort to help a place that could not care less. My family will never be returning, I promise you that. read more

While at Myrtle Beach we stopped here, as it was recommended by a friend. We went around 4pm on a weekday, so it wasn't really busy. They were also short staffed though, which seems to be an issue everywhere you go, due to the pandemic. They have a good selection of beer and drinks. Hubs and I opted for beer and tried a few different ones. I absolutely loved the cool glasses they come in. When we left, I noticed that sell some....pretty cool. All of us ordered a burger, except for my youngest who opted for a Mac n cheese grilled cheese. My husband had the mink burger, which was had a fried egg and PEANUT BUTTER!!! He enjoyed it. I had the true burger, which had the fried cream cheese jalapeños (turds). I enjoyed it, but I felt like it was missing something. My daughter got the hangover burger, which she said was good. Busy Saturday Night during Mustang Week. Service was quick and the server did a great job. We all got gourmet burgers and all of them were cooked perfectly to temp and were DELICIOUS. Fries were hot, right out of the fryer and nice and crispy. Server once again was attentive after food was received to make sure if we needed anything else. Ok- so I didn't do much research on this place so I didn't know what to expect! We were hungry and figured what the heck! When we walked in - we didn't think it was going to be packed the way it was. I was shocked that a table was available for us but it was packed and loud. It was Tuesday so they have Tuesday Happy Hour specials the whole night along with some family game they were playing. We ordered the BBQ shrimp from the Happy Hour- not a fan & we ordered General Tso's shrimp but that tasted really good. The only thing that made this place go from a 5 star to a 4 star is that we asked our waitress if the seafood was wild caught or farmed raised and she said it was fresh. NOPE! We know the difference! It was definitely farmed raised seafood! My son had the biggest burrito on the planet! It was the size of a nerf football. It had chicken, steak & pork ($22) He said it was delicious! He had it w/ a side of Mac n Cheese. My wife had flounder dish, which was disappointing because all of it tasted farmed raised vs wild caught. Once again- if you don't know the difference then it doesn't make a difference but for those that do wild caught as a regular thing- we can tell the difference. I had the wings- $12 for 12 wings!
