Came here for lunch around 11:45 and the line wasn't too bad. It also wasn't too bad when we left and there seems to be a decent amount of seating. I ordered the typical chicken and rice platter. I had to ask for the tomatoes to be added even though it comes for free with the platter - that was a little weird. I asked for extra hot sauce and was warned that it was really spicy - nice of them - but it still wasn't enough for me. I can see it being too spicy since it's pretty thick and if you don't spread it well, there's a chance of taking a huge bite of it. As for the food, it was fine. I've had plenty of chicken and rice back and new york and never quite understood why Halal Guys was the most popular among them, but it is pretty consistent and isn't too greasy. read more

This is my first time in any Halal guys, as I've heard good reviews from fiends and people who've eaten here. I walked to the counter, I was given two options Gyro sandwich or salad. I picked the sandwich because I wanted to get the full experience. The bar back asked me chicken or beef? And, offered me samples. I picked beef only because it was so tasty. This was the 5th time we were here. We brought some new friends. We ordered three sandwiches and one platter and fries. As usual the food was great. I have given 5 star before but this time I am giving 4 star due to service. 1) the table wasn't clean. I had to come up and ask for the table to be cleaned 2) I asked for some white sauce for the fries. I was told I would have to pay $0.65 for white sauce on side but it was free if she sprayed it on top. It didn't make sense they would charge extra for white sauce because throughout the night they came around to all the tables offering hot sauce and white sauce It was strange. I've past the garment district Nyc one for years and it just scared me. Never tried. Moved to Glendale and all I want is kabobs falafel mid eastern food in general cos it's good. Finally hit the Brand Halal Guys. Careful! This stuff is addictive. We've been doing combo plates or just gyro plates with a hummus scoop ( they dribble olive oil and sprinkle paprika on it if you ask ). I think it's one of the best food things ever. The white sauce , that's the ticket. And their hot sauce is the best. Great service. Corporate offices must have their act together because I can't believe how cool the workers are here. I really hate going into fast food places usually cos the staff are unhappy and nasty. So far so good here. Simple menu, I think that's a plus as well. Highly recommended! read more

This is a problem across the board, the food is served warm to cool. It is beyond disgusting(beef) at every location. Like how does this work out... hot sizzling beef in front of you. To get served meat that isn't coming from rotating beefy goodness. Horrible tease. The white sauce is pure oil and sugar, when it should be yogurt. Placed an order over the phone and Nico was very patient when I was trying to figure out what to get. He also provided very helpful parking information, as I was picking up food with my toddler. Food was ready when I got there and handed to me with a smile! First time trying Halal Guys... after much hype I have to say that I am quite impressed. This is a nice quick alternative to your Zankou craving... the rice is flavorful and the meats well seasoned. I had my order delivered via Door Dash. I will update this review to factor in customer service once I get to dine in. I ordered 2 regular size platters 1-all gyro and 1-all chicken.. orders come with lettuce, rice, pita bread, meat, and 2 packets of white sauce... protein options are gyro (made with all beef), chicken is shredded with a flavor similar to lechon and falafel. You can order all one protein or split between two .. this will run about $11... honestly you could spend that on a burger at some drive thru.. opt for this place instead. Menu suggestions: platters come in Small, Regular, or Large.. depending on how hungry you are; order accordingly... regular was enough for a big dinner. I got all gyro, but regret not getting half falafel... I will be taking a nap shortly after writing this review. Now here's the thing about the sauces... the white sauce is yummy, treat it like ranch dressing on a salad, how well you like your salad dressed is how much sauce you should use. The red hot sauce is SPICY!!!! Know your spice level.. I used three small dollops and it was enough to have my nose running but the flavor for the sauce itself is good. If you dine in, parking is available on the street as well as at close by structures. Overall, I am excited to try this place again and to try one of the sandwiches. Halal guys never disappoints.. it's fast food in a sense if you like some bomb shawarma on the go. What I find with fast food is customer service is usually not too great. I usually order online on my lunch breaks but today I decided to order in store and I was shocked at how amazing their customer service is in specific AJ... he was one of the sweetest people I've probably ever met... he definitely deserves a raise if you ask me.
