We get Handpulled Noodles at least once a week. It is one of our favorites! Our favorite is the Scallion + Ginger Stir Fry with chicken, but we've tried almost all of them and they are all so good! (The Cumin Stir Fry with beef is our second favorite). If you love hand-pulled style noodles, their ribbon noodle is delicious with the right amount of chewiness. We also like the fresh pressed noodles to change it up. The noodles can be a bit spicy, so we choose low spice or no spice and it's perfect. Portions are huge! We usually order delivery from the 3600 Broadway location (West Harlem), and they usually deliver early or faster than their wait times. We've also ordered from the 370 Malcolm X Blvd location, and it is equally delicious. I highly recommend this place! read more

Food 9/10 Absolute FIRE. We ordered a lot of food, including the cumin lamb hand-pulled noodles, some dumplings, and overall it was an extremely filling meal. One portion lasted me multiple meals. The noodles were perfectly bouncy and QQ, the amount of meat they put in each bowl was way more than I had expected. Even though it was delivery, it still tasted very fresh. Came here on a rainy day (needed comfort food). Same layout as another Harlem noodle spot I think it's called the Noodle. Maybe same owners. Anyways. Fantastic spot. I always order their pork noodles on high spice (one below the highest) and I swear its spice kick is perfect. Like spicy but addictive and doesn't give you the next day bowel destruction. Fairly priced at $15 for the portion. 4 noodles types to choose from. Basically small to large ribbon. Service is fast. I call ahead for pickup like 10min before and it's ready. My family of 3 went to this place for lunch 2 days ago. It was a terrible experience. The man behind the front desk (most like the manager or owner) told us with cold and unwelcome face "No your son can't eat his meal here" while pointing at "No outside food" behind him. My son ended up having to eat his meal standing outside because he bought his meal somewhere else ahead of time even though my husband and I ordered 3 entries at Lanzhou noodle. When we were done meal and walked to him for check out, he again with cold and unwelcome tone said to me demandingly" Why you come to me?! Go to your server!" The servers were already spiningly busy. In his eyes, mind and heart, only one thing matters: the convenience to make more money. A basic and necessory manner training in service profession is needed for this dude. read more

I only ever order for take out so can't comment on restaurant ambiance. We've been getting delivery here for years; at one point we moved to the Bronx and I still drove down just to pick up because they're that good. Best noodles outside of Flushing imo. They have a variety of handpulled noodles and they note on the website some keep better than others (eg Handpulled ribbon may stick together the longer its transported, ding ding is best for takeout). I've had most of the menu and will say that the cumin soup noodle is by far our favorite. There are three locations for the chain and in my opinion this one is the best (the Malcolm X location's broth is a bit too salty imo). But I never really post reviews on yelp. I felt obliged because recently I screwed up my online order and bought double the food I intended. Even though it was peak hours on a busy night (I could hear the craziness in the background on the phone), the staff was super nice, fixed the order, and refunded the card without issue. read more

As unassuming hole in the wall place that makes chewy and fresh handmade noodles! Would recommend the pork and chive dumplings and the thick ribbon noodles. The dumpling skin and noodles are thick and satisfyingly chewy. I ordered the dapan-niu medium spicy which was good but I wouldn't say the sauce was super authentic. There were large chunks of tender beef though which were delicious. I would not recommend the scallion pancakes. They were too doughy and thick without much scallion flavor. Great hidden gem if your looking for quick , flavorful food, and good service! I turned to yelp to fulfill my craving for "chinese" food and came across this chinese noodle spot. We walked in ordered the Scallion Pancakes, Curry Stir Fry with chicken and went with the ribbon noodles, Buddhas Veggie Dumpling, and the Traditional Stir Fry with rice noodles. The food came out piping hot in 15 mins. The aroma was mouth watering, the flavors were intense and worth every single bit. Let's just say we have now added this to our rotation of places to go! I'm torn with this review that I'm about to leave because I really like the food and this place is a really cute hole in the wall. but unfortunately, I had a horrible experience. My order was totally messed up! I had ordered a Buddha veggie wonton soup with veggie broth and low spice for myself and a shrimp wonton soup with no spice for my dad. Unfortunately, the shrimp wonton came with spice and ended up triggering my dad's asthma really bad. I had to call the ambulance for him, and he was admitted for 2 days. Both of the broths were chicken-based! I am a vegetarian, so both me and my dad's dinner were inedible at this point. I called the restaurant to tell them about the incident, and they told me they couldn't give me a refund and didn't even offer to remake my order again. That was $30 down the drain. The prices here are higher than typical Americanized Asian food but this is better quality. Lots of stuff for all diets. They have noodles of course along with other Asian items. It has a choice of protein, and they have some that are vegan friendly. My boo and I came here to get something to share. We got the Traditional Stir Fry With Veggies. For the protein choice we got seitan. This is a pretty unusual protein to find in a place like this. It's about $12 for a pretty good portion. The spice level was medium and that was alright and allowed us to taste the other flavors, which were beyond just spicy. If you're in a hurry call ahead. Wow Handpulled noodles was sooooo good pre pandemic but man have they upped their game and really expanded their menu a ton. Everything is So delicious. We tried a few new items and *love* the beef and cilantro dumplings and the new ginger and scallion "og" noodles (SO aromatic and delicious!) Also I am a meat eater, but this is the -*only* place I order seitan over meat, and the only time i'll eat seitan. Theirs is so delicious and flavorful and has a unique nice texture! I love a fresh, house-made noodle, particularly when they are handpulled!!! We ordered hot and tangy pork-chive dumplings, lamb cumin stir fry, danpan niu, and a side of bok choy - all to share. The pork-chive dumplings were fantastic and soaked in the delicious hot and tangy sauce. The lamb cumin stir fry was excellent/my favorite (reminded me of Xi'an's) and the danpan nui (beef) was hearty and full of flavor. I love how thick the ribbon noodles are (thicker than Xi'an's). We love their dumplings! We order them more than the noodles. Although their handpulled noodles are also good, we had a few orders where it was on the salty side. The food here was so yummy! We ordered some spicy curry noodles one with chicken, one with lamb, some fried wontons, and a spicy wonton soup... Everything was delicious. A medium spicy was appealingly potent, if you are into spicy food. Everything was very rich, and all of the meats were juicy and not overcooked. The noodles, of course, were perfect and I enjoyed them greatly. You know that person whose lunch smells soooo good? Now you can be that person! The portions here are large enough to have a good size meal and have some leftovers that are guaranteed to inspire envy in anyone who inhales their aroma. You can really taste and feel how fresh and handmade the dumplings were. I got the fried pork dumplings and steamed chicken dumplings. They didn't have the pan seared dumpling, which is sad because I'm sure they would have been the best (A kind of balance between the lighter steamed and crispy fried). Will go back to try them once they're back in. I also got the Bao. The only reason I didn't give this place a 5 star is because the pork inside was dry. However it was flavored very well! I've seen this place floating around as an option on delivery apps for a while, but only recently gave it a try. I got the dry curry seitan stir fry with the fresh pressed number 2 (thicker) noodles. The flavor of the noodles were great, and there were small pieces of cabbage/peppers throughout, I might get it with extra veg next time. The seitan was an interesting spongy texture, honestly not my favorite preparation of the mock-meat. Also, the low spice option still has a decent kick to it so I would be cautious when selecting spice levels. You know you like a place when you still go there despite no transit system nearby. Seriously MTA, wtf? Also wtf about everything else. There are a number of Handpulled spots between my house (in Brooklyn) to upper west side and I still find myself hauling ass for the perfect chew. I'm a meat guy and on top of the noodles having a good bite to them, the lamb flavor really carries through in the chili oil. The spicy cumin really is my favorite noodle dish when I'm not craving broth because I'm still getting that savoriness and comfort without soup. I thibk she got my order wrong because after awhile I heard the cook come out and ask her questions about what I ordered. I went today to the Malcolm X location to try the wings. What a waste of money. Dry run curry and dry rub cumin. I was looking for hot/savory not mid/sweet dried out shoe leather. Lesson learned .
