This was my 2nd visit - 1 week apart. Good happy hour specials, lousy food and service. Appetizer meatballs were cold, asked for a reheat and the meatballs were the same temp. On my first visit, the pasta dish was served before the pizza (not at the same time) and wait for the pizza was 15 + minutes. Get your act together. Hire people who are hungry to work and who care about service. Owners/managers should spend more time on training the workers rather than flirting with them. read more

We attempted lunch last minute here, when our other places were either too far or closed on a Monday. Getting in was not a problem, as the place was empty. Unfortunately, the food was a underwhelming experience. Everything we ordered was literally what the menu said: turkey wrap was pre-sliced turkey in a wrap. No fixings, lettuce, tomato, sauces. I'm still going to give this place 4 stars due to this not being an owner issue technically, food was absolutely amazing and will be returning, place was clean and everyone seemed to be happy ..... EXCEPT for their strange/rude bartender Julia. When my fiancé and I got to the hangout he got seats at the bar while I ran to the restroom (which is adorable btw) when I came back I saw her leaning over smiling largely with my husband (no big deal she's being nice right ??) wrong ... as soon as I started walking over she immediately sized me up with a dirty look and walked away. Bar was not busy but still took forever to come get our drink order. She would smile at my fiancé and not even look over at me. We hung out for about two hours and when it came time for the check she tossed it down in front of me not giving me a second look but smiling at my fiancé. I ended up asking for a manager in which she claimed one wasn't available. I see there is another review about this bartender surprised she's still working at this establishment. read more

My wife and I arrived to have a nice meal only to be seated in a dark, generic, and slightly metallic environment. We then waited at least 15 minutes before being given water by a well intentioned albeit silent bus boy. He approached us like Indians Jones approached the money god, offering us water as an asuagement to their poor service. It was happy hour. Apparently every day from 5-7, which should have been my first clue that this place was in trouble. We ordered a chip and dip triple and a small cheese pizza, each were a $5 bill respectively. The food came out just at the border of too long, but it was hot and we were hungry. The salsa was obviously from Neeeewww Yoooorrrrkkk Cityyyyy. The guacamole was homemade but had that interesting, I've been in the fridge too long taste, the cheese dip seemed floury and also made earlier in the week. Yet, we were impressed by the pizza and wanted to try for an entree, we decided on the $18.00 eggplant with a side of penne marinara. It arrived. We were pleased with the taste but felt the portion too small to merit the cost. Overall, I give this place three stars. That is primarily due to the pizza. Was debating whether or not to write a review however my wife and I heard about the food here and decided to try it out. We ordered the meatballs, chicken parmesan with a side salad and a burger. The food is what saves this place for me. However the female bartender we had (believe her name as Julie) was very rude not friendly at all I saw her roll her eyes at one point when someone sat down at the bar (it was only 8 pm) the drinks she made tasted horrible we asked the other bartender (an older lady) to remake said drinks in which they were quite good. The problematic bartender threw our check book on the table in front of us without a single enjoy your night etc after paying with our credit card. She was texting on her phone throughout the night. There was another couple at the bar who received the same cold treatment we had received but there were two younger men at the bar who she was giving all her attention too while flirting and bending over frequently in front of them. With a "family owned business" I would expect more quality friendly service from the staff. We will be returning as the food was up to parr with what we heard however if we see her there we will simply have to snag a table. read more

My husband and I and a good friend went to The Hangout for dinner Saturday night and had a great time. It was 9-11, 2021 and the place was packed with locals and a large group of officers and their families from the NYPD which was good to see. It is a local, family-owned restaurant so their attention to quality is over-the-top with everything made from scratch except the croutons and salad dressings. Our server, Tyler, was excellent and went out of his way to accommodate us. We ordered cocktails from the full bar and our dinners were delicious. I had the Veggie Pesto Quinoa Bowl and added the 4 oz. filet mignon and I loved it. Brian had the filet mignon sliders and a Greek Salad and said it was very good. Kathleen ordered a 10" pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms and she let us try it - it was delicious and the crust was exceptional. TIP: Their Happy Hour runs 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM daily TIP: They don't take reservations, so it is first-come first-seated. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center parking lot so it is easy to find a space no matter what time you arrive. On one of the TV screens they were announcing their special events that happen on a regular basis that caters to specific demographics which is very nice, they have a ladies karaoke night, Monday Night Football with $1 draft beers, and live music on Friday nights to name a few. read more

The atmosphere is nice, the food for the price is good, the dinner food is nothing special. I've dined here three times & every single time the service is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. No drink refills, not even when the server is asked on three separate occasions in one sitting, the wrong food has been brought to the table, & they've forgotten to put an order in as well. My strip mall prejudice was challenged and defeated by this restaurant. I want to eat there every day. The hostess was kind and attentive, the waiter JD served us with a warm smile. Nice clean spot with very good service. The problem is the menu. It is more of an Italian theme than a bar theme. If I had wanted Italian food I would have gone to the Italian restaurant 2 doors down. The BBQ pizza & fried shrimp tacos were good but not what we had in mind. This restaurant may fit the bill for some but not for us. Maybe they should consider adding a hamburger or nachos to the menu. read more

This place besides being freezing the food is also cold. I got a pizza to share for an appetizer and asking for a plate for myself along with my friend we were refused and told to ask our server. Our server wasn't back for about 10 minutes so you can imagine out food was cold. Manager came over said he will "put the pizza back in" meaning the same pizza we had sitting on our table for the 10 minutes was going into the same place the other customers new pizza was going into. After that our food came out BEFORE THE PIZZA. We weren't complaining about that although it was annoying. OUR MAIN DISH WAS COLD. I am never the person to complain about food but this was terrible. My Friend and I went there on a Saturday because we enjoy Wednesday Trivia Night so much and the environment was great! however, I will never go back there after what happen Saturday Night. The Bartender that was working that night was just plain awful , who was a redhead with a full beard and I believe his name was Stephen. As soon as we sat down, he started by saying he got called in on his day off, like it was our problem. When we ordered our drinks he called us the worst customers he had so far because he actual had to make a mix drink. We tried to order food and he said he wasn't taking food only drinks so don't ask for food. After just receiving just horrible service we decided to leave after only been there for maybe 45minutes. When he gave me the bill, I noticed he charged me for more than what we ordered. We ordered 1 margarita, 1 LIT, and 2 lemon drop shots. Probably 10 minutes before that we saw him taking shots, which I know is part of the job, so no telling how drunk he was. He continued to argue with me after I explained that he put 2 margaritas and 2 LIT on my bill instead of 1 each... He said that he was trying to give us a discount, which didn't make sense because he charged us for more than what we had!! Luckily the manager came over and handle him because I have never been talked to like that at a restaurant before. If he is working stay away from him!
